As Phoenix and Scarmerine paused to catch their breath, the weight of their journey hanging heavy upon them, they decided to take a much-needed break from the relentless pursuit of their mission. Leaving their communication device behind at their makeshift base, they ventured out to explore their surroundings, their footsteps echoing softly against the rugged terrain of the moon's surface.
Though they knew that bringing the phone with them would be futile, as the remote location offered no hope of a signal, they felt a sense of liberation in leaving behind the trappings of their technological tether. Here, in the untamed wilderness of one of the three moons within John's world, they were free from the constraints of modern society, free to roam and explore at their own pace.
