HAVING GIVEN AARON MY PHONE, I FIGURED I MIGHT USE MY BACK UP PHONE.
I always carried it around with me but never used it as much as my main phone.
Not a lot of people knew I had two phones. Adam, Lauren and Aaron were my choose three musketeers. They had all my contacts saved in case anything happens.
You can never tell in this world.
Fortunately, I texted Ciara using my other phone telling her I had arrived at the salon. I still couldn't explain the joy that was racing in my blood by the second. I was going to try the newly made MAC products which weren't on the market yet.
My heart could hardly wait.
I dropped my shades from my forehead onto my eyes and walked into the gigantic building. I approached the reception and asked for the directions to Salon Ink.
"Two floors up and the first room to your right...." the receptionist who hardly believed I was standing in front of her as she replied. She was thunderstruck and seeing her like that made me realise I was hot on my feet.
My fame had reached great heights.
"Thank you..." I replied while walking towards the elevator.
In a blink, all the reception was suddenly filled with a lot of women who asked among themselves if it was really me.
"Are you kidding...of course it's Eleanor....don't you recognise that nose?" someone asked.
"What?"
"How can someone have a face like that?"
"She's so pretty...."
"Yes ..her lips are so perfect...."
"If you ask me I think plastic surgery did most of it..."
"Yeah right..."
"Women...why not focus on perfecting yourselves rather than gossip about others?"
I totally agreed with whoever asked that. Let them all get plastic surgery and then we could battle. At least then it'd be fair.
It took a few seconds for the elevator to arrive and I instantly got in the moment it did. I pressed the button that said 2 and fortunately enough I was alone. I took the opportunity to take a few picturesand fortunately enough I was alone. I took the opportunity to take a few pictures and increase my gallery capacity to at least 10,000.
My other phone had over 15,000 pictures of which most of them were selfies.
However, my back up phone had at most 5000 pictures and only a thousand were selfies.
Shame...
The elevator doors opened and I walked out taking the right turn. As I walked in, I couldn't help admire the whole beauty that was going on. This place looked like a barbershop in the 90s but it had the taste of a twenty first century salon.
It had pictural walls with cutting-edge styles and always promised to stay up on the latest trends and fashions proven by the genuineness of the styles.
A flat screen was installed right on the left wall and an advert was playing.
'Welcome to Salon ink. We provide beauty services including skin care make up. Known for our organic ingredients, we create a wide range of skin and beauty products used in our outlets so as to afford the clients a truly luxurious experience. Thank you'
I smiled and looked at the wall on the right. It got the salon's working hours pasted on it.
Mon- Thur : 10am-8pm.
Fri- Sat: 9am- 8pm.
Sun: 11-6pm.
Impressive.
I turned around to find someone to talk me through the conduct of programs in this salon when suddenly a sound like that of an argument brought me to just the room I was looking for.
"You not only need to be attractive to be an actress. It takes a broad range of skills which you lack. With this in mind, what makes you think you are even qualified to stand next to me....???" An angry seeming woman screamed.
I walked close to see what was going on and to my surprise, I was unnoticed.
"Am very sorry.....sorry...." A young beautiful girl bent her head forward, towards the wailing woman.
I looked at her again and her face was quiet familiar. I was sure I'd seen her in a few hit shows and seeing her in this salon meant she had made a place for herself in the entertainment circle.
"Ms, please wait on the couch, miss Jeannine is almost done with her make up...." The artist kindly told to the young girl and she took a few steps back.
I wondered why she wasn't sitting down.
"Almost done?? Are you kidding me?" Jeannine Barked and pushed all the bottles off of the table.
"But ma'am...you said you wanted a smokey pink eye....that's what we just did on your face....and it looks stunning. You don't like it ??" Another stylist asked and Jeannine gave turned her head like an owl.
"Have I no right to change my mind?? Who the hell are you to tell me what I should and shouldn't do?? Change my make up now....I want a dark look. A dark brown fall make up. Sultry smokey eye and dark lips...dark burgundy-ish...." she hissed like an evil Queen with minions around her to appease her with everything her heart desires. She was terrible!
"I don't think that's what they meant ma'am...." The young girl commented and the state she got caused me to furrow my eyebrows in anger.
I was about to burst in but that would do me good. I had to think fast.
"And who asked for your opinion?" Jeannine barked yet again, her face set in granite. She was hot like a volcano and if not of the make up, am sure we all would have melted.
It was evident how anger was stirring up inside her and not even herself could control it. What kind of a person was she?
In a completely unexpected twist of events, she raised her hand and slapped the young girl. She swayed off her feet and landed on the couch.
"You're all bitches!!!" She swore at the artists and they stood still with no one daring to even look at her.
"Don't you all depend on my money to eat and live? Wait until I report you to the manager for harassment. Then we'll see who exactly is who in this place..." she breathed and I knew she had finally let it all out.
"Clutch" A soft but crisp sound escaped my phone indicating a picture was taken. Suddenly, everyone looked up.
"Now this looks like something that'll get me more followers on Instagram..."
