It Might Be You, My Darling [Volume One Completed]

Which SECRET will you keep for the rest of your life? She wakes up without a recollection of the other night's event. Krishna was horrid as realization hit her one morning. She had a one-night stand with a stranger! Why did she end up in the bed naked, pain searing all over her body, and no sight of her companion last night? As she could not comprehend what happened to her, memories of last night disappeared without a trace, whereas memories from the distant past resurfaced and muddled her head greatly. ‘What is going on? Why do I remember nothing, but I could recall some events during my childhood?’ What mystery surrounded that night, and she could not fathom being in an unfamiliar place without recollection? ~ “I want you to break up with him!” said the dude, who appeared out of nowhere. ‘The audacity of this man?’ She was pinned to the wall, and the crazy guy yelled this in her face. “What are you talking about? Do I even know you?” she snapped, glaring at the stranger. ‘Who is this guy? I don’t know him at all!’ She only wanted to enjoy the vacation she won over the lottery. However, she was being attacked by gorgeous men out of nowhere! “Who are you?” another man who blocked her in the hallway asked. “Huh? Isn’t I the one supposed to ask you this question? Who are you? I am certain we have never met before.” Even though she snapped at him, the man seemed confused by her answer. “Is that so? Then? Why do you keep appearing in my dreams?” Krishna was rendered speechless. ‘I thought this joke was outdated! Someone has still had the thick face to use for advances!’ I think I’m going crazy one of these days! First, I was mistaken for someone’s mistress. Now, I am somebody’s girlfriend. Maybe tomorrow, I will become someone’s wife. Great! How ironic would that be!? ~ Chapter Release Schedule: TUESDAY - THURSDAY - SATURDAY (This book is under massive editing.) Meeting the Prince

OCEAN VIEW COUNTRY CLUB

It's been half an hour since she soaked in the warm bubble bath.

Krishna opened her eyes and looked at her phone when it vibrated.

A while ago, Helena notified her they had found two workers and were coming to the ranch to survey the renovations she wanted to do.

Krishna had already designed what kind of playroom she wanted for George and a sundeck for him to bask in the morning sunlight.

[I'll call you after I finish my shower.]

In replying to Helena, Krishna sent this text as she stood from the tub. She washed her body, dried and was about to get out of the bathroom wrapped in a white bath towel when she remembered George lounging in the room.

She poked her head out and was relieved when he was nowhere to be found. She suspected the guy must be tired of waiting for her to finish.

Krishna looked around and found several shopping bags and boxes on the table. She checked their sizes and was satisfied.

She was worried when George instructed Dillion to order her clothes. She feared they would get her the wrong size since her bosom had swollen after conceiving George, and just recently, she stopped breastfeeding him.

To her relief, the undergarments were all the correct sizes as well. But she blushed upon realizing something.

"How did they know they were my size? Could it be obvious in my hips? Or they ask Anna?"

'Ah... Whatever.' She dismissed the thought. More importantly, she had something to wear tonight.

She was not that tall, but her curves were all in the right places, and she was blessed with bosom and bottom that were head-turners.

After wearing a silk halter dress and drying her hair, Krishna crawled to the queen-size bed and pulled the blanket to her stomach. She leaned on the headboard, placed a pillow on her lap, and then began typing on her phone.

[Kate, is George now awake from his nap?]

This time around, it's lunchtime in Mirada.

[Yup! Our little prince is having his yummy lunch!]

Kate replied, then attached a photo of Little George on his high chair, picking up a cube of carrots and putting them in his mouth.

A tear had escaped her eyes, watching her son.

She was missing him badly already. She wanted to hug him and showered him with kisses.

[Kate, thank you for watching my son over.]

[What nonsense are you spouting? Little George is my godson. I am his beautiful fairy godmother, and I love him so much.]

Krishna further let the tears stain her cheeks as she typed on her phone.

[How will I live without you, Helena, and Verna?]

When she was lost and confused after discovering she was pregnant, her good friends were there by her side 24/7.

Although Camilla rarely visited Mirada, she kept sending her the stuff she needed throughout her pregnancy: clothes, vitamins, and nutritious food.

Throughout those months, her task was to nurture the fetus in her womb after everyone supported her emotionally and financially.

Now it was her turn to repay their kindness.

Thinking about how everyone suffered alongside her, Krishna wired a considerable amount to each of her best friends.

Mirada, Spain

"Ahhhh!"

A scream disturbed the stillness of the afternoon.

Hanging the laundry in the backyard, Helena was startled when she heard Kate scream.

She rushed to the kitchen, using the back door, after she remembered George had had his lunch.

"What happened?" Seeing George was about to cry, Helena picked him up and bounced to coax the little prince. "Why did you scream? Can't you see you have a kid here?"

Helena berated Kate well. However, the latter was still in shock; thus, she ignored her scolding. She could not settle the beat in her chest yet.

"Helena, you should check your bank account!" Stuttering, Kate could not wait to share the excellent news with her. The excitement was written all over her face where her eyes glimmered; hence, Helena got curious.

"Why?" Helena doesn't understand why Kate is this elated. It forced her to adhere to what the latter had told her, as it also intrigued her.

"Do it now! Give me George first, then go check your phone."

Kate took George from Helena. She smiled, having the thought of what reaction she would have soon.

"Alright." Helena decided to ride what trip Kate had at the moment. She went to her bedroom upstairs, where her phone was currently recharging.

Left in the kitchen, Kate put George back in his high chair and persuaded him to eat more fruits.

Not long after, loud footsteps descended the wooden staircase, followed by a scream at the door panel.

"Ahhh!"

Kate shook her head, watching Helena scream, who is now hopping on the wooden floor, bouncing her fat front chest.

"As I've guessed, your other fairy godmother is no different. She had the same reaction as me. Tsk." Kate spoke to the little prince not to panic as he witnessed how the adults turned crazy all of a sudden.

"Is this for real?" Helena was in disbelief after she counted how many figures the amount wired into her bank account.

Soon, Krishna sent them a lengthy message of gratitude.

She had mentioned she wanted to return the kindness they showed her. Now she wanted them to visit a spa to pamper themselves, do a makeover, and go shopping.

Helena wipes the corner of her eyes after reading the message loudly. It was the same as Kate. She sobs while drying her eyes.

For several years, they were held to each other, except for Camilla — being orphaned and abandoned — the four of them found a home within this friendship that, through thick and thin, they face all the trials life has laid on their journey.

Soon after, an old red truck pulled over and rushed inside.

"Kate? Helena?"

"We're here!"

Kate sounded from the kitchen. Verna ran toward the back and screamed at the door arch.

"Did you receive it?" she asked excitedly.

"Yup! We did!"

"Ahh!"

Suddenly, the three women were jumping while arms around each other, which startled George. The little prince could not make out whether to cry, watching his beautiful three fairy godmothers, being thrilled by whatever good news they received.

"Wait! We should remember we have a little prince here. Look at him..."

The three of them dried the tears stained their flushed cheeks. They laugh after realizing George is smacking his mouth with his tiny hands.

"Mmmmm!"

"Oh!" The three godmothers widened their eyes after hearing George making out a little clearer word.

"Did you hear that?"

"Yes! He almost says mama perfectly!"

"Aw, have you missed you, mama? Don't worry, little prince! Your mama is working hard for you. Look! She wired us a lot of money to build you a playroom!" Kate picked up George and snuggled him in her arms.

"That's right, little prince! Your mama works hard to give you a comfortable life." Helena chirped in.

"So from here on, we, your beautiful fairy godmothers, will look out for you throughout the day since Mama was away!" Verna chimed, placing a light kiss on Little George's forehead.

George seemed to understand what they were saying. He was clapping his hands excitedly.

"Helena!"

Outside, a man in a brown leather jacket entered the main door, followed by two men wearing black and navy blue jackets.

"Gustav! We're in the kitchen!"

Gustav is Helena's older brother and Kate's fiance.

"Alright. Please come out here. The men I am telling you about yesterday were here to check the room and what work Krishna would like to do in her house!"

"Okay!"

Not long after, Helena and Verna emerge from the narrowed hallway. The two single ladies froze on their feet, seeing how gorgeous the men Gustav had found.

"Hi!" The two of them rushed over and greeted their visitors.

Seeing through his sister, Gustav rolled his eyes and shook his head.

"Ladies... These are Arnoldo and Harold... Well, they..." Gustav takes the initiative to introduce the gentlemen to his sister Helena and his friend Verna. However, the two girls already extend their hands and introduce themselves.

"I'm Helena!"

"I'm Verna!"

The two women had the sweetest smile on their lips, which made Gustav feel cringe. 'How flirty.'

"Hello, ladies. Nice to meet you. I'm Harold."

"And I'm Arnoldo."

"Oh..." Verna and Helena were in a daze while clasping hands with each of the two men.

"Are the two of you brothers?" asked Helena.

"Yes, we are." It was Arnoldo who replied that chimed by Harold.

"We just moved in yesterday and want to meet our neighbors..."

"Yes." Arnold concurred. "And then we heard about you guys looking for someone to work on a house renovation. So we are here to apply."

"That's great then!" At the arch, Kate came out carrying George. She went upstairs to clean the little prince and change his clothes before meeting their visitors.

"Hey, babe!" Gustav strode to Kate's side and kissed her cheek. Then he introduces her to Arnoldo and Harold. "My fiancee, Kate."

"Nice to meet you, Kate."

"Same here." Kate smiled, nodding at the two men while scrutinizing whether they were trusted. Leaning on her boyfriend, she whispered, not being obvious to her question. "Can we trust them?"

"Don't worry. I'll be here to help supervise the work."

"Okay." Upon hearing her boyfriend's assurance, Kate raised no further questions.

Meanwhile, Arnoldo and Harold could hear Kate loud and clear. They got worried when Kate sized them up with a suspicious look in her eyes.

Gladly, she was persuaded by her boyfriend.

They were here to carry out a crucial mission. And by doing so, they must be friends with these ladies watching over the little prince.

"By the way, is he the little prince we will build a playroom for?" Harold queried casually like he knew nothing.

"Yes, he is!" Helena replied hurriedly, plastering a sweet smile on her lips.

Seeing this, Kate raised a brow and shot a meaningful stare at her friend to behave.

On the one hand, it was an honor for Harold and Arnoldo to meet the first grandson of the Graham family.

"Hello, little prince! What's your name?" Harold walked over and greeted Little George.

"Hello, my name is George Gabriel Palermo!" Verna mimics a little child's voice.

As this is their first meeting, the little prince curiously stares at the two strangers with knitted brows.

Recognizing this similarity, the two brothers felt a chill on their spine.

Arnoldo thought,

'Like father, like son!'

'Undoubtedly, he is the little prince, the heir of the Graham Empire!' Harold muttered to himself.

"Nice to meet you, Young Prince."

The brothers slightly bowed and greeted Little George, smiling at them now.
