× Lonely victim

"So. I guess i owe the young girl an apology"

Cool wind blew through the rooftop. The two beasts who caused great turbulence thought the street gazed down at the city.

"Nice view huh" the husky broke the silence

between them

"I'm thinking about the damage we did that'll cost this hotel"

"Don't worry about that." He slapped the lion's back

"And oh look, it's the her, the girl earlier. Now's your chance to apologize"

The lion sighed

"Lets go"

The two of them went inside the building and took the stairs down.

*meanwhile*

"Oh God, i hope he doesn't find me."

I needed to hide from him. From that...

beast who's trying to kill me with his wierd demonic abilities *wiggles fingers*

I'll just hide ontop of these tree branches. He'll never find me here.

Now i just have to wait them out so i can go safely-

"Excuse me"

A familiar voice came at my back, a shiver ran throught my spine, making my ear ring in terror

I slowly turned around, and it was indeed 'That' Lion

I slowly started to climb down the tree trying not to get any injuries or else i wouldn't be to pay for hospital bills.

Then i felt warm hands under my arms, carrying me down.

"Go back to hell, demon!" I grab my bottle of holy water and threw it at him, it wasn't even open but i hoped it had an effect, atleast make him go away.

The bottle bounced back and the contents spilled all over his head. And to my dissapointment, nothing happened.

"No need to be rash, i'm just here to apologize"

The lion offered a hand

"And i'm not a demon." He sniffed his hand

"Isn't this cologne?"

Shit! That's my last bottle!

The lion chuckled

"Everything okay there?"

It's the husky who spoke, a rather deep voice vibrating voice he's got, his body sticking on my back.

"Yeah. I'm currently bathed in cologne"

"You won't need to take a bath for a few weeks then!"

"Yeah, this will take forever to wear off!"

I coughed out a little bit to get their

attention.

"So why are you here? What do you want?" I asked

"Look, i'm sorry. I guess foretelling just got a little bit out of hand"

"What?"

I stared blankly

"You see, i was supposed to... Dispose of you, but-"

I step back and readied my handy-knife

"Hey now, it was a few minutes ago but killing a person just feels a little bit

wrong, for me. Especially now that...

I think i just got too carried away"

"So... you're not gonna kill me?"

"No."

I could finally relax. I returned the knife back to its place.

In my bad with all my wrappers in it

I breathed deep and slowly recollected myself

"Okay, i'll try to accept your apology"

The two of them became silent

"Well that was fast." The husky man said

"Yes." He scratched his head

"I said i'll TRY!"

I looked at the time, i was now half an hour late for my interview.

"Anyways, i gotta go now." I said.

I turned around and started to sprint my way back to the university

It was a wierd day that day.

I think there's this expression for that...

"Whew! What a day."

Yeah that's the one.

But with ten times more heavier a sigh.

The wrecked road that day was already fixed hours after the rumble. So no one really needed to worry.

Except for the two guys who caused all of it.

I went back to the small room i rented from a incredibly tight landlady.

The rent was nearly five-hundred bucks a month, which my budget for the entire month was six-hunds.

I was short for everything. Starting that day. Alone and nothing to eat.

The fruits i buy from the cheap market just expires the day after, so i had to eat everything i buy the moment i purchase them.

Everything had to be budgeted, even to the last penny.

Sometimes i starved, sometimes i attended friend's parties where i would just get my plastic bag and put in everysingle food to be seen and ration it for the week to come.

(Yes im that poor dont judge me)

Not only i have a hundred to budget for food, i had to seperate ride fees too.

So i only had about fifty bucks to spend for the entirety of the month.

Thats quite enough though, i live alone. So it's alright.

There's electricity, staggering wifi, and an old dusted tv from the twenty-twenties.

And my last semester of college just started today.

I just hope everything goes well this year...
