Chapter 69

'' Eh?!'' Botan exclaimed, mouth wide open in surprise '' The two of you?!'' he said still loudly making Kana frown slightly at the sound and Danuja tense at her side. She wouldn't mind clipping that guy mouth shut if he continued.

'' Stop being so loud, idiot.'' Daiki said hitting Botan over his head. Danuja couldn't help but note that they were short but then again, everyone was short for Danuja those days.

'' That's right.'' Danuja said enjoying how they silenced '' And before you ask we are not selling weed.'' she said smirking when Botan begin blushing embarrassed

'' Sasaki-sensei said that we can find some of the things we need for the club here.'' Kana said to Itsuki making Danuja look back at the girl and at the twitchy teenager

'' Sure, sure.'' he said making sign to follow him and for the others to come as well '' Come on, maybe there would be some heavy lifting.'' he said pushing them forward, Daichi getting a giant curtain that Danuja didn't even notice out of the day, revealing mountains of well, lost and found.

'' They are in a good enough condition.'' Itsuki said making the boys open the lights '' And well, you can take anything you want. No one wants them anymore after all.'' he said shrugging

The boys from the Lost And Found Club were, after a couple of minutes, nothing more than a group of awkward teens that didn't know how to react in the presence of a girl no matter how, 'manly' Danuja suppose, they were.

And maybe that's why she wasn't bothered by Botan who was showing Kana the old couches, trying to guess what color they were suppose to be. That and the fact that Danuja could deck the living out of the small boy was answer enough.

'' And those were from the Reading Club-'' he said pointing at a small sofa of a faded white and purple flowers ''- those guys got funds from their parents so they could upgrade everything there. I heard they even got computers.'' he said scoffing before moving at the next piece of furniture

'' That guy should become a salesman.'' Danuja couldn't help but note, making the twins laugh agreeing with her

'' About that-'' Itsuki begin, his shoulder twitching when Danuja gaze moved on him '' -don't you want to look around as well?'' he said showing ahead.

Despite the fact that the club members were residing close to the door, the room itself was covering a large surface that must have been spreading for at last half of the school. Surprisingly enough the place wasn't crawling with spiders or was covered in dust.

Danuja couldn't help but eye the four boys that were still following them, the twins and Itsuki after her and herself after Kana and Botan, the future salesman.

'' It's really clean for a basement.'' Danuja said making Itsuki blink confused at the change of subject before nodding at her words

'' Well, we clean every two days and the ventilation system it's always on.'' 

'' And the meat would go sour if the place isn't clean.'' Daiki said while nudging his brother, making Danuja snort amused

'' Kana can choose whatever she wants for the club room.'' Danuja said following the girl with her eyes, watching her inspecting a green couch with her finger tips before touching it with her whole hand happily '' I just carry them upstairs.'' she said shrugging at the boys look

'' Oh I get it.'' Itsuki said and Danuja was sure the boy didn't actually get anything but Danuja didn't care enough for it. She was already walking at Kana said lowering her head at her so she could her head murmuring

'' It's so soft.'' Kana marveled still looking down at the couch

'' That was in the Student Council Room when I was a first year.'' Itsuki said smiling at Kana who didn't even glance at him, too busy to switch her gaze from the couch to Danuja

'' We're getting rid of this sofa for you then.'' Danuja said making Kana smile brightly at her '' So the Student Council got the nicest things right?'' 

'' Basically.'' Daichi said shrugging, the others nodding while Kana was still enamored with the couch

'' There are even matching chairs if you want some.'' Botan said enthusiastically '' Pretty sure there it's even an armchair.''

The only thing Kana needed to do was to turn sharply at Danuja, a pleading almost falling off her lips before Danuja already nodded.

At the end it felt a little weird to take the furniture from the boys, especially when Itsuki toke out a clipboard and almost fall over his own feet, words stumbling awkwardly out of his mouth trying to make them sign some papers that said the Lost And Found objects where giving to the Gardening Club.

But when the school called over, the Club room got a green sofa, an armchair that Danuja already had the honor to see Kana curl into, a couple of tall bookshelves that will be filled with pots and whatever else they need for gardening and a couple of normal chairs.

'' It looks pretty.'' Kana said smiling even more prettily making Danuja smile as well

'' That's our spot now.'' Danuja said smiling down at the girl, huffing amused when Dad head popped up behind the door that goes at the outdoor garden 

'' His too.'' Kana said taking a seat on the couch closing her eyes comfortably. For a moment Danuja glanced outside where Dad was lying on the ground enjoying the sunlight or trying to catch a lost bee.

'' You really like this one hm?'' Danuja said putting a hand around Kana shoulders, the girl lifting her legs up and curling right then and there

'' Would you believe this it's softer than my bed?'' she said laughing quietly '' Sometimes I can't sleep that well because of it but I suppose I should be already used to the surface.'' she said quietly humming a little sadly before sticking her cheek on Danuja clothes side

'' You can take a nap you know.'' Danuja said gently, stroking her hair with her hand '' No one can bother us now-'' she said briefly remembering how tense they were every time the two of them would get up on their rooftop spot. ''- so you can sleep all you want.''

'' I need to check the garden.'' Kana said already drowsy making Danuja chuckle, before pressing her fingers harder on Kana scalp making the girl shudder before melting on her side exactly how Danuja know she would do.

Kana was asleep before Danuja could add anything.
