Chapter 6

"I think I have to decline. Thanks for the invite though," Jeff spoke calmly, looking at the yellow-haired girl in front of him.

He could see that the girl, who seemed to look like the same age as him, was also a beauty. With long blonde hair, wearing a black dress with a blue belt and a blue bracelet on her left wrist.

She had a blue star on her dress and was looking at him, narrowing her eyes. Her eyes were a bright yellow, and her lips were slightly parted. She was wearing black tights while crossing her arms.

Jessica couldn't help but be stunned by what she heard.

"Are you sure? You're chances of survival will increase if you go with us," she stated again, to invite the guy in front of her to the team.

"I'm sure," Jeff replied, without even bothering to think about it.

"Suit yourself then," Jessica uttered, while puffing her cheeks.

Her action seemed cute and flirtatious, with his cold eyes staring sideways, like a spoiled brat.

"Hmph, why is this guy not accepting my invitation? I've already taken action first, but he didn't even bother to think about it," Jessica uttered inwardly, making her pride in her beauty downgrade.

Jeff really accepted the fact that the girl in front of her was beautiful, but he wasn't really the kind of guy who wants to be in a relationship. Since he was still young, he didn't feel like it.

He then shifted his gaze a little as he spotted a girl who seemed to be a little familiar, but he didn't know where he had seen her.

"Excuse me ladies, since I'm going to hunt for food," Jeff said to the three, as his back faced them, going back to the sea to catch some fish.

As his figure slowly became small in their view, Ariana pinched Jessica's waist, making her look at him.

"Why are you pinching me?" Jessica asked with a questionable gaze, looking at Ariana.

"Jess, don't you think that the guy seems to be capable, so that's why he doesn't need a team at all," Ariana said, after putting her thoughts together one by one.

Jessica was blank for a moment and pondered about it, "How can you say that?" she asked, her gaze lingering on Ariana again.

"Can't you see where he slept right now? He knows how to make fire, as you can see right here," she said, pointing her fingers downwards at the ashes.

"He even had his own bed made out of palm leaves, and he seems to be strong, as you can see how big and heavy this palm tree is for him to carry to make a triangular zone for his campfire," she said, pointing at the palm tree that was placed around them since they were inside of it.

"Also, can you see that fish over there? He seems to be an expert in hunting," Ariana spoke, after observing what she had seen.

"So, I think staying with him for a while seems to be a good choice, don't you think so Layla?" she said, looking at the other girl in the eye.

Layla had long brown hair, wearing a blue light dress with a white strap. She seemed to be pondering as she looked at Jeff, who was already at the seashore.

His knees were draped in the water, looking for fish. Her eyes were a bright brown, and her lips were slightly parted and was holding the hem of her dress with her right hand.

"Layla! Hello! Laylaaaa!" Ariana said aloud from the end, making her wide awake.

"Ahh, yes," she muttered, freaking out.

"Layla, don't tell me you..." She stopped and looked at Jeff's back.

She looked back at Layla again with a huge smile in her face.

"Aiyaa—don't tell me you like that dude. So you are spacing out," Ariana said, teasing her.

Layla was embarrassed when she was caught. Her face was red as she looked at Ariana in the eye.

"I do not. It's just because he was my companion that is seated beside me during our flight. Judging from his actions just now, he doesn't remember me at all," Layla explained while waving her hand.

Jessica and Ariana, hearing this, were surprised. They then looked at Jeff, who seemed to be moving in slow steps.

Jeff, who had no idea what they were talking about, was focused on his stuff. When he saw a shadowy fish swimming in the shallow water, he slowly walked towards it.

With a swift motion, his hands fired like a pistol, opening when it reached its target.

When his sense of touch fell on the fish scales, he gripped it strongly, catching another fish which made him smile in satisfaction.

The water draped his clothes from that huge splash, making his hair wet. As he slowly walked back ashore with his wet clothes, his six-pack abs and well-toned body were in full display.

The trio, seeing this, couldn't help but swallow a mouthful of saliva. The guy in their view had an air of a relaxed bad-boy about him, accentuated by his casual attire.

His straight, medium-length black hair fell neatly around his ears, with a few strands brushing slightly over his forehead.

His face was defined by sharp, expressive features. His dark eyes, which looked so cool and mature, and a perfect jawline added more charm to him.

His casual white t-shirt fit was wet, making his physique that was hidden become transparent. His six-pack abs were visible, with the well-toned parts of his body shaping a V.

As the water fell from his hair, sliding it towards his face, the look he gave was just out of this world.

The three of them were really surprised that he could give off this much charm with just that action.

But what they were surprised about is that they clearly saw his actions about catching a fish, which seemed like he was walking in a garden, plucking plants.

Jeff, who had just stepped ashore, saw that the three girls were looking at him, making him stunned.

"They are still here?" he muttered inwardly, thinking that they had already left.

He held the fish in his hand, which seemed to be a lot bigger than yesterday. Jeff couldn't help but be stuck in a position.

He couldn't just eat this and let them watch, right? He can't handle this kind of situation.

Jessica, seeing him catch a fish, which seemed to be struggling in his hands, made her stomach growl loudly since she hadn't eaten yesterday.

Not only her, but the other two lips were also dripping with saliva, seeing the fish in his hands.

Hearing the loud grumble in their stomachs, Jeff couldn't help but laugh at this. This was the first time he had heard something like a stomach grumbling this loud.

But his face remained stoic. So, he walked towards them, extending the fish up, indicating to take it.

"I believe you three were hungry, right? Hold this for now while I go catch for more," he said to the three, passing the fish in his hands.
