Chapter 6: Kings

Hours have passed; it's already midnight. Mae woke up from a bed, but it's not inside an inn but rather a tent.

She sits down, her head hurts, and she's feeling a little dizzy. "Augh, where am I?" She looks around and sees his brother sleeping next to her bed.

Suddenly, someone came inside and said, "Oh, you're awake; you're Mae, aren't you?" It's a girl with water and a towel.

"Yeah, who are you?"

"My name is Lily; Lord Siah told me to take care of you." She then sat next to her.

"Umm, I'm kind of confused. How long have I been asleep? And why are you calling Siah Lord? And where am I?" She's filled with questions.

"It's normal to be confused; you've been asleep for half a day now; it's already mid-night; we're currently in the demon forest; and if to make it more sense, you should probably want to look outside."

Mae is worried about where she's at, who this random person is, and lastly, she's in the demon forest, which is known as the most dangerous forest.

She gets out of the tent and sees many large military tents around, a high wall with lookouts, a large bonfire, and many people. They start to walk around.

"Lord Siah told me to tell you everything you asked. As you can see, we're all from slums and slaves. Lord Fuku took us all, but there are those who got left behind, and the reason for that is that they are bad people."

Mae is speechless. "When did he start doing all these?"

"In the morning, they put us inside a vehicle and sneaked us towards the demon forest; here, it's highly guarded."

"Is there a reason why they all took you in?"

"Oh, that's an easy one; before they took us, they first told us the reason, and that is, for manpower, we're a tool for a war."

"Eh? Are you okay with that?"

"Of course, at first, no. Who would want to go to war, right? But then, Lord Fuku and Lord Aciah give us food and take care of us, healing everyone of us; they even let us choose if we still want to follow them or not."

"So everyone here followed; do you have a reason why? You said you didn't want it at first."

"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me! Either I die in the war with being treated well or I die in the slum while suffering; I'm going to die anyway, so mind as well die while enjoying my life, no?"

"That's a tough decision to make."

"Yes! But to our luck, Lord Fuku told us that we can choose to go to war or not after showing us their weapons."

"So what did you choose?"

"I chose not to; I'm still naïve to fight in a war; most of the men choose to be soldiers; some of the women choose soldiers; and some of us, like me, chose not to."

"So, what is your job?"

"We handle the cooking, cleaning, and even dealing with the injured; basically, we're in the rear."

"That's good for you to choose what you like."

"Thanks, we're here, Lord Fuku. Mae woke up."

"Come in" 

It's a tent as well; they went inside and saw Fuku sitting on a chair and doing some planning on a table.

"How are you feeling, Mae?"

"I'm feeling better now; never mind that; is Siah okay?"

"Yeah, he's fine; he's currently sleeping; he brought you here."

"I'm going now; I feel like I shouldn't hear this. Bye," Lily said and left.

"Umm..." 

"You should sit down first." Fuku noticed her nervousness.

"Yes," Mae said, sitting down. "Can I ask questions?"

"I'll try to answer you."

"What are all these? Why did you take a lot of people? And are you planning to go to war? And to whom?"

"Hmm, that's a lot of questions. I'll tell you what I can. We took a lot of people because we need manpower. Don't worry, we're not going into a war, I think, but rather, Siah wants to fight dangerous monsters around the world, and one of them is the behemoth."

"Wh-the behemoth!" She shouted.

Fuku stated to her, "Um, I'm sorry, I'm just surprised, the behemoth you said? Why? I know you have weird powerful weapons, but still, the behemoth? Are you serious? Even the hero didn't manage to beat it, you know."

"We know that; that's why we're preparing; we took all these people to train here; we first will train, of course; don't worry; if you want to quit now, you can."

"I won't; I'm just shocked, but let us train first. I'm ashamed that I almost lost my life in the dungeon; I even put Siah in danger."

"That's fine, he said, but yeah, you're too weak to be his personal  bodyguard

"Eh? Personal bodyguard?"

"Siah is our leader, or more like a king; he's far more valuable than everyone's life in the world. That's why I want him to have a bodyguard; without a plan to spread the world's names, there's a high chance that he'll get assassinated."

"I understand; I promise, I'll get stronger and be worthy to be his personal bodyguard," Mae said with a serious face.

"That's good then; you should rest first. I will train you guys tomorrow morning, so take a good rest first."

"Goodnight then," Mae said, leaving the tent. Outside the tent, Lily was sitting on the ground.

"Behemoth, huh? That's some crazy monster that Lord Siah wants to beat," Lily said as she stood up.

"You know that Fuku can kill you just for listening to our conversation, no?"

"Oh, don't worry, Lord Fuku isn't stupid; he knows that I'm listening outside." Lily then got close to Mae and said, "Don't underestimate Lord Fuku," with a serious face.

Mae gently pushes her away. "Oh, please, I know that much; I'm just telling you."

Lily giggled. "Okay then, I'll be going now. Bye bye."

"What a carefree person," Mae said to herself, then went inside her tent.

Early in the morning, a loud whistle was heard.

"Wake up! Is this it? Is this how you all would act if we're under attack?"

The training that Fuku will use to train them is rather unique, with the combination of U.S. Navy Seals, Israeli Defense Forces, Belarus Red Berets, and many of the hardest trainings in Siah's world

Focusing on physical fitness, endurance, weapons, tactics, survival, adaptation, and mental and emotional resilience, with the help of Siah's system, the training can be done in just 3 months.

With the help of the system, they will:

Customization and optimization: This method involves choosing and modifying the best weapons and equipment for each soldier, depending on their role, preference, and situation. It also involves upgrading and enhancing the weapons and equipment, such as by increasing their power, accuracy, durability, and functionality. The soldiers are trained how to use and maintain their weapons and equipment, as well as how to customize and optimize them according to their needs and goals.

Simulation and experimentation: This method involves testing and improving the performance and effectiveness of the weapons and equipment, as well as the skills and tactics of the soldiers. It also involves creating realistic and immersive simulations of various scenarios and environments, as well as conducting experiments and trials of new and innovative weapons and equipment. The soldiers are trained how to adapt and react to different situations and challenges, as well as how to evaluate and improve their weapons and equipment, skills, and tactics.

Integration and coordination: This method involves combining and synchronizing the weapons and equipment, as well as the actions and communications of the soldiers. It also involves linking the weapons and equipment to a central network, database, and command center, as well as enabling them to share and exchange information, data, and resources. The soldiers are trained how to operate and function as a unit, as well as how to support and assist each other.

The training will only be for 3 months; that's enough for them to learn everything, but that isn't everything. To pass the last exam, they will be put in real danger, fighting monsters in this forest. A real experience is where you can actually learn.

Siah also participates in the training while grinding in the dungeon for points. They have water because Siah used his item box to dig a large hole, making a well. With a water generator and some engineering, living inside the demon forest is not a problem.

They buy foods from cities, using the money Siah has and the treasures he finds inside the dungeon.

More and more people joined them, and Fuku started going all over the kingdom, buying slaves and taking slums with him. Of course, this would take a long time, but Siah bought him a custom Boeing CH-47 Chinook to be more stealthy and not attract attention.

Taking the people from slums and slaves easily, of course, we only take what we can for now. Currently, there are only 1000+ soldiers and 250+ who don't want to become soldiers. Apparently, there might be a lot of people in the slum, and many of them aren't really good-hearted. The same goes for the slaves.

Slaves still exist, but they changed because of the hero. You can only become a slave by either being in debt and needing to sell yourself to pay for your debt, by being a criminal, or by selling yourself.

That makes it hard for Fuku to look for "good" people, but having more than a thousand men is enough for now.

In a month, Siah was able to clear the dungeon, and to earn more points, he's accepting requests from the adventurer's guild to also make a name for himself.

2 months passed by, the 3 months of training were done, all of them passed, and those who didn't choose to become soldiers were trained for others, like healthcare, IT, data, sales, marketing, engineering, operations, logistics, and more. Fuku wants them to be ready when Aciah wants to start his own country.

With all of them passing, it turned into a large party that lasted for the whole night.

In a week, they start to pack up. Their first plan is to make a base. In the kingdom, there's a sea that a kraken lives in; it's an unhabitable land, and making that their territory is their plan by killing the kraken.

They all ride the advanced Boeing CH-47 Chinook to go towards where the kraken is. From what we know,

The Kraken is a legendary sea monster of enormous size with an octopus-like appearance. It is said to eat fish as well as humans and is considered a dangerous being.

It has a flat body, which tends to emerge from the water in humps like small islands, and dozens of long, flexible arms that it can lift out of the water to the height of a ship's mast.

It can create giant circular waves and swarms of frightened fish through its movement.

It can swallow ships and whales whole and create whirlpools by diving back into the depths.

It is very lazy and spends most of its time sleeping on the ocean floor.

It has a unique hunting strategy where it spews out waste that attracts other fish and then seizes and swallows them with its arms.

They successfully got on the land. Siah brought out all their weapons: multiple TOS-1As, much more powerful tanks than the ones on earth, attack helicopters, rifles that could pierce the armor they fought in the dungeon, cannons, and other military weapons.

The plan was to first lure the Kraken with a medium-sized boat that was filled with poison. They waited for half an hour, and the bait was successful! The kraken shows up, taking down the medium-sized boat.

They waited for him to eat it, and while they waited, Siah took out the submarines and ordered his troops to standby. When the Kraken swallowed it all, Aciah ordered them to fire.

From air, underwater, and the ground, firing non-stop missiles, heavy machines, guns, and rifles, the Kraken was weakened but wasn't dead. That's when Mae and her team came.

Flying swordsmen, equipped with armor that is able to fly and fire guns, finished the job with their plasma swords.

It was successful. Congratulations! You earned 1 billion points! Earning a billion points is just a mere number to Siah now; after all, he's been hunting the whole 3 months; hitting a billion is nothing to him now.

Siah put the kraken in his item box. They divide the team into Fuku and half of the soldiers, and all of the rear personnel are tasked with starting their base.

While Siah and the other 500 soldiers go to the capital city to parade the kraken, you may ask, Why parade the kraken? It's for reputation and power.

Displaying his power to the people in power will not make him underestimated. People from the capital are shocked, of course, and scared at the same time. The parade is having the corpse of the Kraken while also parading their vehicles to them.

With the tanks, soldiers, and attack helicopters, he went and paraded the kraken and made his way to the castle, where the king and queen are.

He asked for an audience with the king, and the king immediately agreed. Now, Siah is standing with his bodyguards, and of course, Mae is the leader.

All of them didn't bow to the king. This may be outrageous for the nobles, but they can't do anything to a man who killed a kraken that has been a problem for them for years.

"Not bowing your head but instead standing, even though you are standing in front of the king, only means one thing: you are either a fool or someone so strong that he wouldn't even care even if he disrespected me."

"Well, I do respect you, but bowing to someone only means that I'm lower than that person, and that is not the case here."

The two leaders stare at each other; the atmosphere is ugly; it's so thick that even others have a hard time breathing; one wrong word, and it will be a war.
