Chapter 20: Training

The Devil that controls the Demon King Himself, killing the Hero that was summoned here first, now you tell me that Devil is just a servant of the Evil God? If the hero can't even kill the devil, then how in hell can I defeat the evil god?

Siah's thoughts are messed up; he needs to be strong, to the point that he can kill a god.

Siah got back to his base and went to Brod and Kathy's research building. "Brod, your swordsmanship is good, isn't it? Can you teach me?" I can't keep relying on advanced technology and my system.

"Your Majesty, I can do that; however, isn't his Majesty busy with all of these?" Brod replied.

"I am indeed busy, but I need to train to become stronger," Siah said with determination in his eyes.

"It seems that His Majesty is determined about this; why not teach him, Brod?" Kathy said.

"I can do that, but I don't think I'm suitable; after all, I lose the duel," Brod said.

"I may be good with skills, but I'm still lacking in training; that also goes to Kathy. I also want you to teach me magic; I want to kill the devil by myself after all," Siah said with a serious face.

Kathy sighed. "Alright, I'm busy with my research that you gave me; you can study by yourself first. I'll give you the books you need for the basics."

"Early in the morning, around 3 AM, I usually train on the training grounds; you can meet me there for my lessons," Brod said.

Siah smiled. "Alright! Thanks! I'll be going now then," he said as he ran away.

"No problem, take care!" Kathy said.

"Princess..." 

"I know that face is his; he's planning to achieve much higher feats. It's the right choice; we side with him."

Siah then ran towards Fuku's office. "Oh? What's the rush?" Fuku asked as Siah barged into his office.

"Teach me how to properly govern my country."

Fuku glared at him and said, "Oh, and how come you want that now?"

"I'm changing, Fuku; I too want to properly become the king that my people wanted."

"You've grown; alright then, let's start immediately. From now on, I will just advise you; you do all the work."

"Of course!" Siah said happily.

Five hours later, "Hahhh, that's exhausting," Siah said as he sighed. He then opened the door to his house.

"Oh, welcome home, Siah," Ave said as she walked towards him, getting up from the sofa after reading a manga. "You look beat up."

"Well, I started to learn how to govern this country, and Fuku immediately taught me."

"Damn, that must be exhausting."

"Welcome home, Your Highness," Amelia said while cooking in the kitchen.

Siah took out his shoes, and Ave came to him and walked with him. "Eh? Why are you here, princess? Didn't I already break off the engagement?"

After the alliance, the engagement between Siah and Amelia got broken since Siah didn't really want any partners at the moment.

"Is it wrong to visit a friend? And can you drop the formalities? We're friends, are we?"

Siah sighed. "Alright, drop the formalities as well, then."

Amelia smiled. "Yup, I'll do that then, Siah~"

The dinner was ready. Siah and Ave, who were sitting on the sofa while reading, stood up and walked towards the table where Amelia had prepared the foods. The book that Siah was reading was about business.

On the table, the three of them start eating. "Ave, you seem to just laze around all day; don't you have any better things to do?" Siah asked.

"Well, my clan just got here after all; after I settled them down and gave them the job, my mother and father were now the ones in charge," Ave replied.

"I see. How about you, Amelia? Why is the princess of the Lara kingdom cooking at my house?"

"Ever since I was a child, I was always locked up in the castle; it's the first time that I got outside ever since that engagement of ours. Also, my father sent me here to study."

"Study, huh?" so he took advantage of our friendship for him to know better about our technology. Meh, I'll take this opportunity then.

"Are you two good with business?" Siah brought up.

"Business, you say... I don't know a thing about it. I'm sorry," Amelia said, sincerely apologizing.

"I usually help my mother and father sell, so I kind of know a thing or two; however, don't expect too much; I still lack experience," Ave said.

"You don't have to feel down, you both. If you're willing, do you want to start a business with me? I'll help you, of course."

"A business with Siah?" Amelia said.

"Looking at all this weird stuff you have, selling it will of course blow up. I'll join. I want to get rich after all," Ave said with a smug on her face.

"Well, if Ave will join, then I'll join too," Amelia said.

"Good then, I'll give you two books about business and mathematics."

"Mathe-what?" Ave said she couldn't pronounce the mathematics.

"Yup, don't worry, it's for beginners; also, if you want, I'll personally teach you both, so worry not," Siah said.

Siah had a busy schedule every day. He woke up early in the morning, around 3 a.m., and trained swordsmanship with Brod, his mentor and friend. They practiced various techniques and sparred with each other until 7 a.m., when they took a break and had a hearty breakfast.

After breakfast, Siah switched his role from a student to a teacher. He taught Ave and Amelia about business and mathematics, as well as some common sense and knowledge from his original world, Earth. He used books, games, and examples to make the lessons fun and engaging. They learned together for two and a half hours, until 10 a.m.

At 10 a.m., Siah resumed his learning, but this time it was about magic. He went to Kathy, who taught him the basics and principles of magic, as well as how to use and control his own mana. Siah was a fast learner and had a lot of potential, so Kathy challenged him with various exercises and experiments. They studied magic until 12 p.m., when they stopped for lunch.

Lunch was a time for Siah to relax and enjoy the company of his friends. He ate delicious food prepared by Amelia and chatted with Brod, Ave, Kathy, and sometimes other guests who visited them. Lunch lasted for half an hour, and then Siah took a nap for an hour to rest his body and mind.

At 1:30 p.m., Siah woke up and got ready for his next activity: politics. He met with Fuku, who taught him all about the political situation and history of the kingdom and the whole world, as well as the skills and strategies needed to succeed in the political arena. Fuku also took Siah to various places and events, such as meetings, rallies, negotiations, and inspections, where Siah observed and participated in solving problems and influencing people. They worked on politics until 6 p.m., when Siah returned home.

Home was a place for Siah to unwind and reflect. He ate dinner with his loved ones and shared his experiences and thoughts with them. He also read books from his personal library, which contained a variety of topics, such as politics, war, strategy, human nature, advanced technology, and more. He wanted to broaden his horizons and learn from the wisdom of others. He read books until 9 p.m., when he went to bed and slept soundly, ready for another day of learning and living.
