Chapter 16: Revolution

Inside the meeting hall, Siah, Fuku, Mae, Ave, Brok, and Kathy gathered to discuss the meeting.

"I called you all here to discuss the empire sending scouts to our land. Our spy reported that the empire is planning to take our land to make use of our technology," Siah discussed.

"I don't want any casualties; that's why I ordered Fuku to inform the opposing function of the emperor."

"As ordered, we discovered that the crown prince is a kind-hearted man who doesn't want any war, but he is naïve and can't do anything within his power; however, one of the eight duke power houses of the empire supports him and also opposes the emperor," Fuku said.

"With that information alone, you can already tell what we're up to," Siah said.

"The duke, Ian, a man of justice, is rumored to have said that he is planning a revolution to stop the emperor and make the crown prince the emperor," Ave said.

"If we support the crown prince and make him the emperor, not only do we make the war stop but also gain trust from them," Mae said.

"It's easier said than done; only one duke out of the eight supports the crown prince; if ever we make him the emperor, it won't be long for the other seven dukes to start a revolution," Kathy said.

"That's where we come; not only do we make the crown prince the emperor, but we also help them 'clean up' the rotten nobles in their empire," Siah said.

"Won't that take too long? I thought you wanted to explore the world?" Kathy asked.

"Don't underestimate the advanced technology; if you can know whatever they are stating, lies will make things easier, no?" Siah replied.

"Is that even possible? It is possible by magic, but that still takes time," Kathy said.

Siah then takes out glasses from his item box; they appear in front of them. "Wear it, then I'll tell you an obvious lie" after wearing it.

Once you wear the glasses, it works like a system; it's AI-generated, so it can also help with many aspects of life. "I'm not a king." After telling a lie, the system in the glasses will let you know whether the person is lying or not.

[Lie] appeared on their glasses.

"I'm not hungry."

But there are still loopholes in these lie detection glasses. If one truly believes what he is saying, then it will automatically count as true even though it's not the truth.

"You really surpass my expectations. It's a good thing to ask you for help," Ave said.

"Your Majesty Siah, may I ask you something?" Brody said formally.

"Hmm? What is it?" Siah replied.

"Why are we here? This is a meeting about war within this country and the neighboring empire. Is there a reason why we're part of this meeting?" Brody asked.

"As Brody said, I'm also curious as to why we're here," Kathy said.

"That's simple; I want you, the both of you, to watch us fight; if we win and make it happen, it just means that I can protect you guys and your people, isn't it?"

"That's true," Kathy said.

"And if you still doubt me, you can keep those glasses. Am I telling a lie? I want to protect you guys, no matter what race you are. As long as it's within my power, I will do my best to support and protect my people."

Kathy smiled. "Okay, then, we'll decide after the war."

"Of course, now let the plan start!"

In the estate of Duke Ian, a robot bird flies towards his window while the duke is at his office, sitting next to the window. They use pigeons to communicate in this era.

The duke noticed the robot bird knocking on his window. He opened the window, and the bird flew inside the office.

"...?" The duke is confused.

Suddenly, the bird's eye lights up, and then a hologram of Siah appears. Siah, who is sitting on his couch, appears before the duke.

"Hello there, Duke Ian," Siah said as a greeting.

"Who are you?"

"Hey Siah, what's this?" Ave asked, holding a bottle of Coke she got from the refrigerator.

"It's a drink; give it to me; I'll open it for you."

Ave walks towards Siah, then she sees the hologram of the Duke, and all of a sudden, she kneels down.

"Ave?" The duke said.

"Oh, you two know each other?" Siah asked.

"Yes, the duke is the one who helped me escape the empire."

"Oh, the duke sure is kind. I'll introduce myself; I'm Siah."

"Siah..." the duke then kneels down. "I apologize, your majesty Siah, for not recognizing you."

"Oh, I never thought the duke would kneel down to me; I'm just the king of a small country, you know?"

"His highness sure is modest, someone who becomes an adamantite adventurer for not even a year, the man who stops the horde in the demon forest, and the man who killed and doesn't even fear the King of Lara. Please forgive this lowly me."

"You're overpraising; you two should stand up; it's awkward to talk like this."

"As you wish," the duke and Ave stand.

"I want to talk to the duke about a certain something, the revolution that you are planning; I'll help you with that." While talking, Siah opened the can for Ave.

"So the war is nearing, huh?"

"You got it! I don't want any unnecessary casualties, you see. That's why, tonight, we'll take over the palace!"

"But how? Is that even possible?"

"Yup, my troops are currently going there; prepare your troops as well; we'll meet up on the southern hill of your land in the afternoon, and in the middle of the night, we'll strike!"

"I have my doubts, but I'll risk it; please help us, your majesty," he then again kneeled down.

"Of course!" They then ended the video. Siah then took a sip of the drink. "Ahhh," he said with bliss. "Hey, you okay? You've been standing behind me."

Ave, who was just always playing around, is now crying. "Hey now, it isn't over yet; cry after it's done, okay?" Siah said as he handed her over the canned drink.

"Sniff sniff," she said, then wiped her tears. "Yeah, thank you, Siah," she said as she took a sip of the drink. "It's delicious," she said while crying.

Afternoon came, and Siah, Ave, and some soldiers arrived at the southern hill, where everyone was waiting, including Duke and his loyal soldiers.

Mae, who got here first, takes charge of the platoon, making camps and the preparations needed.

The arrival of Siah was welcomed by everyone, and after discussing the plan, midnight came.

"It's time to move," Siah said.

"We're really flying," the duke said.

"It's the right choice; we make him our ally, Duke Ian," Ave said.

"Yeah, I don't think we can fight off something like this. This is paired with the Holy Empire."

Duke and the others are flying quietly towards the capital, where the Emperor lives. The stealth helicopters that they are using are designed to be quiet and stealthy; however, Duke's and his soldiers are using the Chinook.

Flying over the palace, they sneak inside, capturing the guards quietly, while the duke and his soldiers make a scene in front of the palace to attract their attention.

"I! The Duke Ian declares a revolution against the emperor!" His soldiers then scream! Raising their motivations.

Then, at the palace wall, an explosion happens; it was the jet fighters doing it. "The walls have been destroyed! Charge!" The Duke shouted, and with his soldiers, they ran towards the palace.

The soldiers of the palace immediately got ready to counterattack; however, with the help of Siah's team, who is backing them up from the air, they easily annihilated the soldiers, making them scattered around, running for their lives.

The jet fighters are bombing places where there are no people, but they are close to the battle field just to scare the emperor's soldiers.

In just 5 minutes, Siah's soldiers have already gotten inside the emperor's room. There, he has dozens of soldiers waiting for them, but Siah's soldiers throw a smoke bomb that can make you sleep as soon as you breathe into it.

Siah's soldiers held their breath and captured the emperor, who is now unconscious.

In just 10 minutes, the emperor was captured.
