The room was modest, with a large table in the center surrounded by displays and paintings on the walls. It served as a meeting space, often rented by merchants.
The three of them took their seats around the table, the atmosphere thick with tension due to Lucien's simmering anger.
Lucien was furious. The knights' insults towards his troops had incensed him, but their near-insult to his women was intolerable.
Under normal circumstances, he would have killed the man without hesitation. The fact that he couldn't act on his instincts only heightened his rage.
"Lucien, please, calm yourself. We are here to discuss what transpired," Rosetta began, attempting to defuse the tension.
"Indeed. Damien should recount the events, not I. Let us hear him out and resolve this matter," he said, his glare fixed on Damien.
