When Lithira stirred awake, only to find the boy already sitting up at the far corner of the bed, fear written all over his face as he looked at her.
She quickly became self-conscious, her hand instinctively reaching for her head to check if her horns were showing. They weren't.
She let out a soft sigh of relief. 'He's not scared because I'm a dragon,' she thought.
"I won't hurt you, I promise," Lithira said gently, her voice soft and soothing as she tried to ease his fear.
"I just want to help."
The boy, about her height, stared at her with wide, green eyes. His black hair was messy, and he looked no older than ten in human years.
"Who… who are you? Where am I?" His voice trembled as he finally spoke.
"My name is Lithira," she explained calmly.
"I found you being attacked in the forest and brought you here to help."
