Leaving The Village
"You really are leaving today, huh?" Lucien asked his father one more time.
They stood at the village gate as Cassius, his men, and Avalerry prepared for their journey.
Everyone was dressed in their winter gear—a long, thick jacket lined with the white fur of winter foxes, known for their ability to absorb cold and turn it into heat.
Except, of course, for Avalerry, who still wore her mermaid dress, showing off her curves and ample chest, seemingly unbothered by the cold.
The dark elves had already set off for Graypot earlier. The villagers were still uncomfortable around them, so it was better for them to travel separately.
Cassius chuckled. "Of course I am. Haven't I told you today's the day?"
Lucien sighed, still trying to process it. "The celebration just ended. Aren't you in a bit of a hurry?"
