He pauses. "Okoramo you said?" Puzzled, I respond, "Yeah?" Sheathing his sword, he runs up to me. "The terrorist?"

"I'M NOT A TERRORIST-"

"The Liberator?" He interjects. I wave it off. "Sure." Though I know not of any circumstances that would grant me that title.

Regardless, his entire demeanor had changed in the blink of an eye. What could he possibly want with me? He stares determined into my eyes, holding his unmoving gaze until I speak up. "You gonna talk?"

"Oh, uh-" Rightening his stance almost as if addressing a superior officer, he addresses me. "I would like to enlist your help!" I stagger, caught off guard by his, uh…BROAD request. "Well…" My face flushes, flustered. "I would love to help you, but as of now, I have other things to take care of…"

I brace myself for cries of protest, but his expression is unchanging, If anything, it intensifies. The tension grows stronger. I should just break away while I can…

"Well, uh," I falter. "Thanks for not attacking me anymore…I guess…" I make an attempt at turning back-

"Wait!" This sudden call jerks me back to attention. As I turn around, he's walking toward me. His expression is now more desperate. "I heard what you did in Tenma and Neo City! I feel as if my proposal perfectly aligns with what you've displayed you believe in previous exploits." I sigh violently. I'm just about fed up with this dude. "Listen man. I'm just looking for a friend right now. I'm not trying to get into anything-"

"I can help you find him."

"Wuh…?"

"If helping you find this man will encourage you to support my cause, I'll help you- but just hear me out first. Just see what I have to offer."

I sit on this for a bit, head raised to the sky…wait. What was I even doing to begin with?! I have no IDEA where this man I'm looking for is located, and I just expected him to be somewhere on this God Plateau or whatever. I have no reason NOT to go with this man.

With a final exhale, I turn to face him. "Alright." I say. "Show me what you've got." His eyes light up, and he falls to his knees, bowing profusely. "Thank you sir!"

I reel back. "Y-yeah…"

This is FAR more uncomfortable than I had thought it would be. As we walked, he kept the same, beaming smile plastered on his face, occasionally stealing glances in my direction. This was not my ideal morning.

A sudden shadow plummets the brush into darkness. I flinch in surprise, peering above… and what I see is beyond imagination. A large, mechanical apparatus darts across the sky. Various constructs of glowing, winding systems run along its form- though I only catch a glimpse of it before it zips away, leaving a gust of wind in its wake.

In a daze, I look back toward Tenshi, who just looks forth grimly. How is he not whelmed by this?! "You know what that is?"

"Yep." He responds dryly, keeping his gaze fixed ahead. "Don't worry, though." He drawls. "They won't attack. The canopy above is far too dense for their sensors to penetrate." I squint at him. "Sensors…?"

"They're called Automata…" His expression hardens. "...war machines."

His face tells me I probably shouldn't push any further on the topic.

"Okay then."

"If you thought that was impressive, though," He stops in front of a veritable wall of foliage, drawing his blade. "You'll love this." With an arcing, heaving slash, he cuts down the wall, a shower of leaves spraying in all directions.

Revealing splendor.

A scene alien to rationality is what is spread out before me. A sprawling cityscape of a foreign technology, life pumping through its core. Skyscrapers that pierce the heavens- a train suspended on an almost holographic rail, hoisted in the air, coiling up through the skies. It's bustling with civilians, all milling about its vaguely Victorian air.

A city of unproportioned technological advancements. An awe-inducing sight.

Stars in my eyes, I turn back to Tenchi, dumbfounded. By the time I've turned to look at him, he's already turned his head to the scene.

"It's called kItsuji. The Land of Cowards."

shorter chapter because my computer broke, so I had to switch to a different device halfway through.
