Can I participate?

As planned Iva was determined to participate in this year's sports event . So she went to their Sports Teacher who was collecting forms for various games and when Iva went there to ask for a form she was chased away saying that she is too young to participate in mind games. But Iva being a stubborn girl stood there waiting for the line to finish . As soon as the line was over the teacher was again turned his attention to Iva and asked," What's your name?"

"It's Iva , Sir. Can I participate? "

"So you wanna participate in chess but it would be a waste of time as in the last 5 years only last year a student was able to reach national level so I think you should try for other games."

"Sir , I promise to reach national level "

"Haha...it's okay even if you don't as it's quite tough and also there's a vacancy for under 14 girls so you could fill in"

Iva screamed in joy and started filling up her form and submitted it . She also thanked her teacher continuously.
