Chapter Twenty Three

At Victor's shop Euphorial knocked as always.

'The door is unlocked,come in' Victor stated and Euphorial came inside.

'Good morning Euphorial' Victor greeted her cheerfully.

'Morning Victor' Euphorial greeted him back.She then turned to look at the Ephraim who is now coming in and said to victor 'this is Mr.Ephraim'.

'I can see he is the one'.Victor said to her and turned to face Ephraim and said 'it is nice to meet you Mr.Ephraim' he grunted.

'You are Victor my fiancee's friend.It is also nice to see you' Ephraim said arrogantly.

'I'm here for the dress Victor' Euphorial called onto Victor's attention.

'I have adjusted it but you need to wear it so that i can see if it needs another adjustments' Victor said to her.

'Okay give me the dress.Where is the changing room?' She asked him.

'It is there' Victor nooded towards the wooden compartment.

After Euphorial left the room Ephraim looked at Victor threateningly but Victor didn't cower in fear he just looked back at him and said bravely 'if i had asked her hand in marriage before the ball day you wouldn't have been privileged to become her fiance because i would have been engaged to her'.

"You are worthy of being friends with her seeing that you are brave enough to challenge me" Ephraim said and then he continued "you should just stay her friend that is what befits you,in your next life you act quickly".

'Mr.Ephraim can you please come i need your help with the dress' Euphorial called for his attention.Ephraim then stood up to help her.

"What do you need help with?" He asked when he saw her.

'I need help with locking the strings on my right waist' she said in embarrassment while looking at her right side.

Ephraim looked at her seductive waist and he gulped.He bent down to lock the strings while trying his best to not touch her much because he didn't want to do what his dark side desires.

"It is done" he said as he stood up to look at her in the mirror.

"You look beautiful" he complimented her and she blushed.

"Is this your wedding gown?" He asked her.

'Yes (she nodded).Do you like it?'

"It is beautiful,i like it,it suit the hue in your eyes.Why aren't you wearing white for your wedding like the other humans?"

'The dress is my mother's.It is the only thing she left for me.She gave me this to wear on my wedding day' she said in a reminiscing voice.

"It is okay for me,we are going to have a human wedding" he said to her without revealing that he knows her secret.Then he said to her when he saw her disappointed face "we can also have a vampire wedding when you are ready".

'Why can't we have it now?' She retorted.

"Do you know what a vampire wedding mean? (She shook her head negatively).It means that i will have to mark you mine and mate with you which i don't want to do until i fall in love with you because i don't want to be like my father".Ephraim explained to her and then he held her hand so that he could show the tailor she is his and no one else.

'Victor i think it's okay there is no need for adjustments again.Mr.Ephraim likes it like this'.She said when they went out of the wooden compartment.

Victor looked at their joined hands and said gruntingly 'okay,off it so i can pack it for you'.When she went into the wooden compartment again Victor turned to Ephraim and said to him 'if you ever make her cry i swear i will make her mine'.

Ephraim face immediately darkened and his jealousy kicked in then he said dangerously to him "i don't care whatever the relationship you have with her but have it in mind that whatever I HAVE CLAIMED NO ONE CAN HAVE IT".It was at that moment that Euphorial came in back and she looked at the guys sending deadly glares at each other,if looks could kill the both of them would have died now.She cleared her throat to call their attention then she gave her dress to her friend who quickly packed it for her with the rest of the extra clothes he had sewn for her.

When they got back to the carriage,Ephraim told her to go home that he has somewhere to be.

Ephraim mind linked his aide to meet him immediately at the market square they have some questioning to do.

At the market square Damon and Ephraim can be seen asking the villagers where they could find the market thugs and they gave them their abode.

In the thugs abode

"Hello everyone it is time for a bloody party" Ephraim said as he entered the house.All the thugs there stood up in alert and fear.

"Let me get straight to the point,who instigated the recent fight at the market square? I heard there were five of you".All the thugs present looked at their selves indicating that no one is speaking.

"Damon shut the door it seems we have to do some drillings" he smiled cunningly.
