Jian Ning looked at his status with incredulity. He was simultaneously surprised by the steady increase of 25 W.E. every second, and the occasional spikes of 10 or 20 W.E., likely from people talking about him somewhere. 

However, he was also somewhat frightened by the symbols behind the numbers needed to evolve a talent.

'W.E. stands for White Energy, but what do S.E., Y.E., R.E. mean? Are they more advanced types of energy? If so, how can I obtain them?' Hundreds of questions swirled in Jian Ning's mind as he tried his best to maintain a calm appearance and continued to walk steadily towards the library, which was only a few meters away from his courtyard.

"Ling, explain to me what all these different energies mean," Jian Ning asked urgently in his mind, slowing his pace a bit.

Ling explained simply.

'So W.E. isn't that valuable for the future; it's only useful now because I'm still weak,' Jian Ning thought as he entered the library to find an elder from the outer court who was currently watching over the library in place of his master.

"Greetings, elder. I am the disciple accepted by Master Wen Tong, and I have come to choose martial techniques," Jian Ning said respectfully.

The elder of the outer court looked up, scanned Jian Ning's face and cultivation, and then spoke.

"You have the right to choose five low profound rank techniques from the fourth floor, and one mid profound rank technique from the fifth floor," the elder said indifferently.

"The disciple thanks the elder," Jian Ning said before quickly heading to the fourth floor.

Arriving on the fourth floor, Jian Ning saw hundreds of low profound rank techniques spread across several shelves.

"Ling, can you tell me the five best martial techniques on this floor?" Jian Ning asked hopefully.

Jian Ning's eyes widened in shock.

Ling really has such options, using it just to enhance talent and martial techniques was a waste of Ling's potential.

He headed without hesitation towards the Divine Wind Swordplay and picked it up without any hesitation before descending.

He quickly greeted the elder of the outer court, reporting the techniques he had chosen, and then hurried back to his small courtyard.

He spoke to no one during his short journey, too excited at the prospect of starting to learn his new techniques.
