Chapter 6: Academy Life 02; System Update

After the speech ended, the teachers announced the classrooms. I was in Class 1-A along with the original 9 and other civilian kids.

The next day, I went to the academy and sat in the second row at back beside Ino and Hinata. In the last row Shikamaru, Choji, Kiba, and Naruto were seated while in our front Shino, Sasuke, and Sakura.

"How are you two? Are excited?" I asked both Ino and Hinata.

"I'm good Nero-Kun, and Yes! From today onwards we will be attending the class TOGETHER and become ninjas TOGETHER" Ino said with an excited voice and an emphasizing the word Together.

"I- I'm also good N-Nero~kun, and yes I'm e-excited to be with y-you," Hinata said with a blush and being excited about the wrong thing.

'Aren't you guys excited for the wrong reasons? I'm asking both of you are excited to attend the class. sheesh

While we are chatting a Chunin came in and introduced himself.

"Hello class I'm Iruka Umino, and starting today I will be your Academy instructor. Now before we start our lessons, everybody first introduced yourselves, your hobbies and dreams." said by Iruka-Sensei.

"Me me me first! I'm Naruto Namikaze and I like ramen, instant ramen, and Ichiraku ramen and I also want to be a Hokage like my Dad" Naruto said.

"Aho! You will never become a Hokage because I will become the Hokage. I'm Sasuke Uchiha, I like to train with my brother and I'll become the first Uchiha to become the Hokage" countered Sasuke.

"Teme! What did you say BAKAsuke?!" Naruto said and started their verbal quarrel.

"Okay, that's enough both of you! Okay next!" Iruka~sensei pacify the two and Introduction continued.

"I'm Ino Yamanaka, my hobbies are taking good care of flowers and training and spending time with Nero~kun. My dream is to become a famous and strong Kunoichi just like the legendary Sanin Tsunade-sama" Ino said

"I-I'm Hinata Hyūga, my hobbies are training and spending time with Nero~kun and reading storybooks to my sister. M-my dreams are also to become a famous and strong Kunoichi. And to be w-with..." Hinata said while losing her bearings.

I can feel the intense jealousy of some boys in the class, but my friends just laugh because they already know that Ino and Hinata liked me so they are not bothered with the introduction of the two. then it is my turn to introduce myself.

"Hello everyone, I'm Nero Sarutobi. my hobbies are training and spending time with both Ino and Hinata. I also like to read a lot of books and spend time with my mother and grandma. My dream is to surpass our late great 1st Hokage and to become the strongest Shinobi of all time" I said.

Some of my classmates are baffled because of my surname. Though the members of the current Sarutobi are only numbered to only 8 people. But being in the clan with the current Hokage is a big deal. They are also shocked about my dreams specially Iruka-sensei and my other classmates while my closest friends the future clan heads, Naruto, Sasuke, Ino, and Hinata are not shocked because they already know about my dream.

Some of my classmates and Iruka-sensei thought that I also want to become the Hokage in the future but they are wrong because I don't want my future to be stuck inside the office and managing the village. I only want to surpass the 1st Hokage and become the Strongest Shinobi which I'll become because I'm already OP because of my System and my bloodline was already the bloodline of Ashura Ōtsutsuki and given enough time I will surpass the 1st Hokage and even the all the Ōtsutsuki clan members. After my introduction, others introduce themselves and our class has begun.

after the class ended. we decided to visit the Yakiniku Restaurant to start our celebration of successfully starting our Shinobi Career. after the small celebration, we separated from each other to went home. Of course, as a gentleman, I accompany both Ino and Hinata to their home and bid farewell.

after 20 minutes of walking. I arrived at the front of our house and greet both my Mom and Grandma.

"I'm home Mom, Grandma," I said.

"Welcome home Nero-Kun" x2 (Mom, Grandma)

"How's your first-day dear?" Mom said

"It's great Mom, Granduncle made a speech during the start of Academy. I'm also with the others in the class we are all classmates." I said.

"That's good Nero, but are you really sure that you don't want to graduate early? You're already at a Low Kage Level based on your Strength and Chakra Level. when you started to train we both witnessed how genius you are, and we don't think the Academy can teach you anything. you now need to experience the life of a shinobi." Grandma said.

"Grandma even if I'm already strong against my peers. I'm also young, I'm only 6yrs old and if I graduated earlier a lot of spies from different villages will be alarmed. I just want to be a low-key shinobi for now. and besides, we are not in the War period now. I think staying at the Academy will also be good for me. I can still accompany both of you and my friends and not doing missions will also limit my training if I want to accomplish my dream in the future" I said.

"Well if that's what you want Nero. We support you whatever decision you make" Mom said.

after talking to my Mom and Grandma, I went to my room and see my system.

'Ohhhhh my system Updated, that's new I never knew that my System can be updated. let's ask Kyrie~chan what changed in the System'

"Kyrie~chan what happened? how did my System update?" I asked her.

"Well, Nero~kun you accomplish your new path to becoming a Shinobi when you've been accepted as a student at the Academy the System itself marks it as your accomplishment. but be wary because not all System Update can be good for you. It can be a Nerf or It may change some things with your Status or the System Interface." She said.

'Welp that's bad if I got nerfed or something. but heck at least I still have my System' I thought.
