Chapter 242: Special gift

That afternoon, they had a seafood feast. Bai Yi Yang observe Bai Yi Ling and Ah Qi carefully, even though Xiao Ling doesn't seems to be that happy, she doesn't seem to be angry at Ah Qi too. Their lunch was accompanied by chatter from the children too as they recommend which one is tasty to Ah Qi.

After lunch, Dongfang Qi Ze finally have the chance to give his gifts to Bai Yi Fang. It's actually a dollhouse set, there are 3 barbie dolls with 5 different outfits each. They came in a big box and they still need to assemble the house by themselves. Bai Yi Fang eyes shine when she saw this, she was so happy that she went to hug Ah Qi after receiving the gift.

"You don't have to, it must've been pricey." Bai Yi Yang said as they watch the Bai Yi Chen help the children to assemble the house.

"Not expensive, I got it on discount." Dongfang Qi Ze whisper. His identity now is an orphan who have a decent work but also have the burden to pay the debts, if he told Bai Yi Yang the real price of this imported dollhouse set, Bai Yi Yang may suspect him.

TongTong who was listening don't want to comment. Yeah right, toys that cost almost 5,000 yuan should be normal right? This thing is only sold overseas too, the one sold locally don't have this quality okay.

"Then next time there is no need to buy expensive things, just a doll is enough." Bai Yi Yang still said.

"Okay, I will listen to you." Dongfang Qi Ze easily relent.

"Ah, I forgot to give your gift yesterday. Come here." Dongfang Qi Ze said to Bai Yi Yang.

"What gift?" Bai Yi Yang ask again when Ah Qi is seated in front of her laptop. Ah Qi open a famous research paper platform and log into an account, then, every research that has been uploaded become accessible now.

"I make a subscription for you, I know you love reading research papers." Dongfang Qi Ze said to Bai Yi Yang smiling, as if asking for praise.

'Fool!' TongTong cannot help but comment. Actually, it can help the host access all these, what for they need a subscription and waste money.

"That.." Bai Yi Yang is also dumbfounded but she is also happy to receive something meaningful like this. What a special gift this is, she smile sweetly at Ah Qi.

"Thank you.." Bai Yi Yang can't help but fall into his attentiveness. Who can think of giving a research gate account to her in this world.

"En, as long as you like it. I will send the email address and password to you later." Dongfang Qi Ze said softly.

"You already give me a lot of gift, you don't have to." Bai Yi Yang said, she can't help but caress his hair.

"Not enough. I will repay you my whole life." Dongfang Qi Ze smile. Bai Yi Yang wanted to hug him but they are in the living room, she can only suppress the urge to do so.

After that, Ah Qi let her browse through the contents a bit and they chat about Bai Yi Yang current research project with Sir Austin. Dongfang Qi Ze knows about this but still listen to Bai Yi Yang attentively, he thinks that his little girlfriend is really an outstanding person.

"Do you need sponsorship for your research? I know some people from City Shan and City Zhou who may be interested in this research. You know Zhou International School, they sponsor their project for an international competition." Dongfang Qi Ze add.

"There is no need. We have got sponsorships offer from a few companies in City Nan too, Sir Austin is the one who handle it. It won't look good if we accept sponsors from other city although City Nan have offered us sponsors too." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Alright, I will listen to you." Dongfang Qi Ze nod.

"I know Zhou International School, I have competed with them before. If it's them, then you mean sponsorship from Dongfang Group?" Bai Yi Yang add.

"How do you know?" Dongfang Qi Ze said. Well, he wasn't interested with his younger cousin at first, but while investigating about Bai Yi Yang, he found out that Bai Yi Yang and his younger cousin Dongfang Liu most probably have met before during the R&D competition. Then, he also find out that his 3rd uncle who is managing a branch of the Dongfang Group business is giving sponsorship to Zhou International School R&D team. The amount is not significant so it wasn't brought up to him.

"I have met a member of Dongfang family during that competition, and I heard words that Dongfang Group sponsored the two teams from City Zhou. They all are treated like princes and princesses." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Who did you met?" Dongfang Qi Ze ask casually.

"Dongfang Liu. He..how to say it, a bit eccentric. I saw him did something immoral in public place, I was so shocked at that time. Is everyone from big family like that have weird personality? I don't think I can stand someone like that, truly a young master." Bai Yi Yang laugh. People like Dongfang Liu is someone that she really wanted to avoid.

Dongfang Qi Ze was taken aback, Dongfang Liu have the same surname as him, and also come from the same family. He never thought that his younger cousin behaviour indirectly affected his image in Bai Yi Yang eyes too. When he returned, he must straighten up the younger generation in his family.

"Not everyone is like that. He must be spoiled." Dongfang Qi Ze said.

"I think so too. I have met someone else from that family but he was fine, it must be the younger one who have unruly behaviour. Their family have power and money, of course they will go ashtray. Ah Qi, remember to avoid people like them, they may like to bully people." Bai Yi Yang said.

"En, I will remember." Dongfang Qi Ze feels that he is being hit by bullets with all these bad impressions from Bai Yi Yang.

"Right, tell me more about the competition? If you want it, I can help look for sponsorship for your team in advance." Dongfang Qi Ze said.

"It's an International High School R&D competition, our team was lucky that we was chosen this year. Next year, we may try out again, if we don't make it it will be embarrassing to get sponsorship in advance, what more, we have made a name this year, there are already many who is willing to give sponsorship next year." Bai Yi Yang said.

Dongfang Qi Ze nod, he knows that Bai Yi Yang is just being humble, he have read her research paper and watch her presentation video, it's not an exaggeration to say that Bai Yi Yang team have the ability, not just luck. If not, how can they earn a Gold medal and placed 1st amongst the other team?

"Our Yang Yang is too humble. Just tell me when the time comes, I still have the ability to help you." Dongfang Qi Ze said. Not to be arrogant but he is the head of Dongfang Group now, won't he able to help his little girlfriend in matter like this? Rather than letting other people giving sponsorship to her school project, it's better if it were him who help.

"Okay." Bai Yi Yang nod and smile. Since Ah Qi has open his mouth, then he must know some people who is in this field.

"Good girl." Dongfang Qi Ze pat her head and continue to ask about the competition. Then, they also came to the topics of Bai Yi Yang's Olympiad competition. Bai Yi Yang didn't even tried to hide her dislikes towards Mathematics subject to Ah Qi.

"But you are good at it." Dongfang Qi Ze smile.

"That's because I don want to hurt my pride, when I decided to join, I must at least get a Gold. Next year, I really don't want to join anymore." Bai Yi Yang explain.

"Then don't. Just do what you wanted to do." Dongfang Qi Ze support her thinking.

"I didn't know that you are very smart, you are as smart as me." Dongfang Qi Ze laugh lightly.

"Were you very smart too? Did you join all sort of competition too?" Bai Yi Yang become curious.

"I never get less than 95% in any subject..but, I never join all these competition before." Dongfang Qi Ze is really telling the truth, he is busy learning all sort of things so he don't have time to join any of these competitions.

"Then you must be very smart. Why don't you join any?" Bai Yi Yang ask. Smart kids usually join a lot of competition.

"That's because I skipped many grades to earn my degrees earlier." Dongfang Qi Ze answer.

"Ah..really? That's amazing." Bai Yi Yang praise again. She knows that Ah Qi had graduated from university, he must have studied some language courses since TongTong last background check is that he is fluent in 5 languages.

"Yeah, so you can imagine how boring my life has been." Dongfang Qi Ze said. He thinks that Bai Yi Yang must have guessed that he at least had graduated university since he is someone who is already working now. The truth is, he actually has 3 different degrees and a master degree in business, currently he is pursuing another master degree while working as the head of Dongfang Group. As for skipping grades, he finished it many years ago, he already forgot how high school syllabus was.

"Not boring, Ah Qi is just a hard worker." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Then…do you like music? Do you know how to write them?" Bai Yi Yang carefully ask, if TongTong's information is correct than he must be under the pseudonym of Creck. The Qi Sheng here also know how to write music even though he didn't enter the entertainment circle.

Dongfang Qi Ze froze, his express changed a bit but he quickly controlled it. This is another fact about Qi Sheng that Bai Yi Yang pointed out. Since she said it, then she must know that the real Qi Sheng is a music composer too, which is indeed true, he have read information about his substitute and he goes under the name Creck. His songs was just so-so but there is no doubt that he really did sell songs.

Dongfang Qi Ze suddenly feel uncomfortable, it was the same that time when Bai Yi Yang save her, she still believes that he is Qi Sheng. This is the first time he feels that he is inferior than Qi Sheng.

"Yang Yang.." Dongfang Qi Ze called softly.

"En. Why?" Bai Yi Yang also panic a bit, how is she going to answer if Ah Qi ask her about how she find out about these facts.

"What if I don't know how to write music?" Contrary to Bai Yi Yang worries, Dongfang Qi Ze ask this instead. Bai Yi Yang look at his slightly gloomy expression and smile.

"I was just asking. Don't take it seriously, so what if you can or cannot." Bai Yi Yang smile and took Ah Qi hand. He must have wanted to keep it a secret, well, she had tried searching the name Creck before and compared to Qi Sheng's songs from the other world, it is indeed not well known, what more there are only 2-3 songs that has been released.

"Do you like someone who can write music?" Dongfang Qi Ze ask.

"No such thing like that. I..just like you.." Bai Yi Yang whisper the last sentence. This put a smile on Dongfang Qi Ze face and he smile again. Right, so what, if Bai Yi Yang like it, he can learn song composing for her. This should be his new hobby then.

When Bai Yi Chen finished helping the children with assembling the dollhouse, he come over to join the chat. Sometimes Bai Yi Yang is wondering if Ah Qi had tried secretly dating before because he really know how to make it look natural in front of Bai Yi Chen, Bai Yi Chen didn't even suspect them. Bai Yi Yang know this because unlike when she is with Zhang Yong, Bai Yi Chen didn't comment anything about Ah Qi behind his back.

Bai Yi Yang didn't take an afternoon nap, only her smaller siblings went to nap for a while. As for her, she and Bai Yi Chen chat with Ah Qi in the living room, then they watch movie together and when Bai Yi Chen left to revise his programming class, the couple continue to chat about many things.

Chatting with Ah Qi was actually very pleasant, he is smart and have broad knowledge. They never ran out of topics to talk about, Bai Yi Yang feels like she have met someone that get along very well with her.
