Chapter 11: Simple dinner at home

Since three people will be going, then why not just bring everyone.

It has been too long that his siblings didn't go to town, he still can pay for one meal in town. There is nothing to worry.

"How about the vegetables garden, was it too hard to clean?" Bai Yi Chen look outside the open window that clearly show rows of neat empty patch.

"You did that? Did anyone came over today to help you?" Bai Yi Chen ask with disbelief.

"We did that, we did that! This morning jiejie, er jiejie, Xiao gege and Fang Fang went to clean that up." Bai Yi Fang experience too much excitement today that she forgot to brag about their vegetables garden.

Even Grandpa Zhou and Grandma Zhou vegetables garden at their house is not as big and as clean as theirs. She is so proud that she also did some work on it.

"Nobody came. It was jiejie who cut the weeds, plow the fields and loosened the soil. We only help a bit." Bai Yi Ling said. She have to say, her sister this morning was too amazing. She can do a grown man job and still have the energy to find mushrooms in the jungle.

"My energy was a lot since I slept too much these few days." Bai Yi Yang grinned.

"Why do you do the heavy works, just wait for me next time." Bai Yi Chen was heartbroken. With this amount of work done, his siblings must have work non stop under the hot weather.

"Not hard work. You also went out to find money. You will be too tired when you return." Bai Yi Yang say so but actually she find it easier to work on her own.

The vegetables patches will be even and much more better than the one Bai Yi Chen plowed, she just doesn't want him to mess it up. She steal a glance at Bai Yi Chen who is feeling guilty that he didn't help with the difficult work.

"We all contribute to the family in different ways, you went to town to work, and the rest of us stay at home and do the job at home. If it is hard I will tell you." Bai Yi Yang said softly.

"En, its not hard at all. Fang Fang and I just pick some big rocks. We also gave jiejie and er jiejie water." Bai Yi Mo said.

"Fang Fang likes farming!"

Then, Fang Fang also chimed in.Said the two little guy who almost drive Bai Yi Ling crazy this morning, Bai Yi Yang giggled. Bai Yi Chen finally nod, feeling a little bit better.

"Today I will cook." He said and stood up.

"Nooo!!" The three children other than Bai Yi Yang answer immediately. Bai Yi Chen frown, he looks a bit aggrieved. After saying that they all look down as if they want to avoid Bai Yi Chen gaze.

"Why not?" Bai Yi Chen stopped moving. Fang Fang sneakily went closer to Bai Yi Yang and whisper.

"Jiejie..I am scared to eat what gege cook.." She said. Bai Yi Yang almost burst laughing. Now she understands why the children look horrified. She really need to step in.

"Ge, lets eat simple meal tonight. I will cook egg drop noodle soup with mushrooms. I saw some dried noodle in the cupboard." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Right, can you help me go pick some big eggplants, lets grill eggplant too. I will quickly make the sauce." Bai Yi Yang add.

"Alright." The rejected chef Bai Yi Chen finally gain a bit spirit.

"I will follow gege and show him around." Bai Yi Fang cling onto Bai Yi Chen hand.

Bai Yi Mo doesn't want to lose so she lead the two in front as he narrate what they did this morning. After seeing the three left. Bai Yi Ling finally has a little courage to look at her smartphone again, she carefully pick it up and put it inside the box again with a smile.

"Jie, I will help you put away you phone too." Bai Yi Ling said as she do the same with Bai Yi Yang smartphone.

"En, thanks" Bai Yi Yang who is already mincing garlic to make sauce for the grill didn't say anything with the overly cautious Bai Yi Ling. One day she will also become like her who bring the phone anywhere, broke the screen, drop food on it. This younger sister is so cute.

Oh right, she should charge it so that she can browse through the internet at night.

"Xiao Ling, can you help me charge my phone?" She called out Bai Yi Ling who is already walking towards the Main House.

"Charge?" Bai Yi Ling look a bit clueless.

"En. Just read the instructions, its easy." Bai Yi Yang said and continue doing her works. Let her get use to it so that she doesn't continue to hold her phone like a little ancestors.

"Oh." Bai Yi Ling walk into the main house and continue studying the instructions. After she plugged in both charger to the extension in their room and connect the charger to the phone, she smile brightly. She carefully took one of her clean clothes so that the phone doesn't directly touch the floor. The floor is clean but she thinks that it doesn't look good. After glancing back a few times, she finally return to the kitchen.

Bai Yi Yang is almost done making the soup simmered with mushrooms, it smells really fragrant. Then she put the beaten eggs inside and lastly the bok choy.

After boiling the noodles, she divide it into portions. By now she can understand the siblings appetite, Bai Yi Chen eat twice her serving, Bai Yi Ling ate only a bit more than the two younger ones who ate half of Bai Yi Yang usual portion, sometimes more. They really eat a lot with that little body, maybe she should feed them less so that they become less naughty and overactive.

She called Bai Yi Ling to bring those bowls and pour the hot soup into it. After filling in the normal bowl size with soup, Bai Yi Yang didn't let Bai Yi Ling to carry the big bowl, she herself carry it to the table.

There are some leftover so when the other three came in with two grilled eggplants, she remind them that there are more in the pot.

"Blow first before eating, its hot." Bai Yi Yang remind the young ones.

They took their time eating dinner and Bai Yi Mo even went for a refill, Fang Fang only want more soup. By the time they finished eating, even the leftovers is finished, of course it was Bai Yi Chen who clean it up into his stomach.

"I am so full, I think my stomach is going to burst." Bai Yi Mo said, leaning back against the chair.

Bai Yi Fang laugh at him and went to touch his round stomach.

Bai Yi Chen didn't say anything and clean up the table, then he also do the dishes. Bai Yi Yang is happy to have such a good brother, she then ask the three to go bath first, while she go prepare their clothes. Of course it was Bai Yi Ling who is bathing them, those two kids is too unreliable.

Bai Yi Yang neatly placed their respective clothes on the bed. In this house, they only have this one decent cupboards so their clothes are all stored here, only their school uniforms are hanged since there are not enough hanger.

For the first time, Bai Yi Yang went through her school bag, just the usual 10th grade textbooks. She took out a notebook for miscellaneous things and start listing the things that she want to buy in order of urgency, then put a budget on the side.

Her list and budget goes side by side: Washing machine(2000-3000 yuan), Dryer(3000-5000 yuan) Refrigerator (5000 yuan), Big fan(100 yuan), Stove (100 yuan), Roof tiles (250m2-Main house, East House, West House), Carpenter tools..

Then she look around the room, the house is actually have a good foundation, the wall is sturdy with mixture of concrete and wood, the wood used to build it is also the good kind that is difficult to rot. It only look ugly because it wasn't maintained. The wall has lost its lustre, the flooring is good kind of tiles but the design is a bit too old fashion to Bai Yi Yang liking.

She planned to cover it with vinyl flooring, the kind that has modern design. She will not change much in the exterior but inside, she planned to transform it into a modern house with air conditioning.

The designer taste and intention is not that bad, just that it is obvious that the one who designed this house is an old person, the styling and colour is not to her taste. It has also been years that nobody live in it, there is no wonder that it is a bit ugly.

The most urgent things is to change the roof tiles, it was a miracle that it can withstand winds and storm. This house is at least 5-10 years, if not longer. Everything is just too old fashion, the piping system, the wiring. All of these need to be changed. She become a bit dizzy, it is so difficult to enjoy a rich and prosperous life. After picking enough mushrooms, maybe she should go fishing one more time. She really are short of money now.

Talking about that, she open the interface. There is additional of 2 points from cooking, now she have 18 points.

'Is there no points for picking mushrooms?' She asked the system.

'Even the expensive mushrooms?' She asked.

Should she open a business selling dried mushrooms? But that is not practical. She won't be able to get that much mushrooms after she finished picking it this time. It is not a stable source of income, at most she can make a side income with it.

Then what about selling vegetables? But it is still a common vegetables, its not like her vegetables taste better than the one outside, they are still vegetables.

Bai Yi Yang click the Farming category and read the description, its stated there that the plants she grow and tend to is much bigger than other and taste much better, there are also increase a few percent of nutrients, energy booster, strengthen immunity and other good benefits. Then she read the Level 3 and almost get dizzy, she have the ability to let a dying plant to grow back, what more, the area that can be affected by her power will also increase.
