It's not that Leon holds any grudge against the hero, but every time Leon remembers some of the events with the novel's hero, he begins to feel a strange feeling, as if he is suffocating spiritually.

Leon did not have any explanation for this, but whatever the case, Leon automatically concluded that he would not get along with the hero of the novel, even if he did not know why.

Leon decided to ignore his strange and irrational feelings towards Arthur in favor of remembering some of the information he remembered about him from the novel, or at least what was explained about him in the novel.

 'Arthur Lewin is from a humble and average background but he also holds a scholarship  like me which entitles us poor people to enter the academy and try to rise through the ranks to become the support the empire of mankind needs.'
