There was another possibility—choosing a commoner child who wasn't very strong in all aspects but seemed pleasant to be a disciple, showing fairness. Thus, Ogawa believed that all the civilian children in the class had a chance, especially given the potential impact on Naruto's future.

"It's so abominable! teacher, why didn't you tell me earlier? I was completely unprepared for this!" a student exclaimed.

Hearing this, Ogawa threw a piece of chalk, hitting the student between the eyebrows. 

"You are a fool who usually only cares about playing. Today's notice is, of course, to show your truest level."

"When will the exam start?" another boy asked, in pain.

"I've kindly reminded you. It's time to take an exam and show your parents the results. It's best to pay attention to it. You can't blame me for wasting my time and youth. As for the exam, of course, it is now, immediately!" Ogawa announced, patting the stack of test papers in front of him.

The classroom fell into bursts of wailing.

"Quiet!" Ogawa intervened, maintaining discipline, and began to prepare for the exam.

The first exam was a comprehensive cultural test. Maki, upon receiving the test paper, read it first.

"I didn't say the exam started. You are not allowed to answer questions in advance! If I catch you, you will get a zero score immediately."

The questions were simple and covered various subjects. Maki, contemplating the answers, noticed some unconventional questions.

"What is Naruto?" Maki narrowed her eyes.

"The exam begins!" Ogawa announced.

Maki began writing her answers. She responded to the question about Naruto with, "It's a comic."

Answer: Don't be timid; just do it.

"What do you think of your companions?"

Answer: Let's chat.

"What do you do when you encounter an impossible task?"

Answer: As long as the green hills remain, you won't have to worry about running out of firewood.

"What would you do if you were Hokage?"

Answer: Spend more money.

Maki happily wrote it down smoothly without any pauses.

These are her truest thoughts.

Other questions received equally unconventional answers.

After finishing the paper, Maki handed it in. The two-hour exam ended in less than half an hour. Maki walked out of the classroom, taking a stroll on the playground.

Meanwhile, Tsunade, Hinata, and other students also completed their exams. Tsunade handed in a perfect paper, Hinata showcased her usual top-notch performance, and the test papers were soon delivered to the Third Hokage's desk.

The Third Hokage first examined Tsunade's paper, finding it perfect and consistent with her usual behavior. He then turned to Miki's paper, expecting a high score. However, to his surprise, Miki had answered all the teacher's questions but left the Third Hokage's questions unanswered or with whimsical responses.

The Third Hokage's blood pressure rose, and he decided to give Miki a zero for her unconventional answers. He then proceeded to look at the next test paper, which belonged to Hinata Hitomi.
