Dark Mist Valley (2)

As they kept searching in this rocky area, Archis couldn't help but be frustrated.

"Damn it! Like this we can't even search a fifth of the whole outer area." he cursed inwardly.

As Archis and others started their search, they found that it is extremely impossible to move quicker in this foggy area. In fact, their eyes could only see things which are less than half a meter from them.

The fact that large boulders are littered everywhere, made the situation even worse. If they ignored the fog and moved fast, they would inevitably crash into these abnormally sturdy rocks and injure themselves. Though the injuries may not be much, these rocks, however, combined with how thick the fog; made it so that they could only slowly walk forward as they searched.

For Archis himself, this realization came to him only after getting his share of valuable lessons. Right now, his forehead is covered in a few bumps, and there were bruises all over his face. He stared daggers at his uncle for not properly explaining the situation to him.

Unfortunately, his uncle could not see his expression in this thick fog. But the occasional chuckles sounding from his uncle Orion made Archis's mood even more sullen.

As they continued to search like this for a few hours, the enthusiastic and lively expression had disappeared from his face, and instead, he turned extremely depressed while his shoulder hung low and his body moved forward almost involuntarily as he subconsciously followed the silhouette of his uncle Orion.

'No wonder not many are interested to come here and search.' Archis thought to himself inwardly. If he knew the situation is like this even he wouldn't come. It is not that only their group was searching. In fact, there were many other people combing through the outer area, but the fact that the fog was so thick and they could only see half a meter around them, made it so that bumping into others almost impossible.

"Uncle Orion, why did you not tell about this beforehand? Now, we are only wasting our time here." Archis said dejectedly.

"Hahaha Young master it's not that I didn't want to say. It's just that I know that you wouldn't believe me and I don't want to leave a bad impression before you left for royal academy." Orion said with a slight hint of glee in his tone. Perhaps, feeling happy that he brought the Young master down a notch?

Hearing that, Archis couldn't help but become speechless.

"Besides Young master, one finds Hundred poison flower only with tremendous luck. So who is to say we are not lucky?", Orion asked with a chuckle.

Hearing Orion's words Archis's ears perked up and his eyes regained some glow. Realization dawned on him as he thought for a moment and said, "You are right uncle Orion. No matter how one searches here, they can't cover more than ten percent of the outer area before the fog starts affecting their minds. And it's virtually impossible to divide the total area into sections and search over a period of a few days because once we enter the fog area we could appear anywhere in this fog and accurate navigation is impossible. So, only through luck, we can find it. Maybe, if our luck is sufficiently good, who knows, that flower might directly appear right in front of us!"

"Huh!!!" Orion stopped immediately and exclaimed. After a few seconds of standing still, he turned and looked at Archis's silhouette with a weird gaze.

"What happened uncle Orion? Why did you stop?" he asked with a hint of doubt. Though he could not see Orion's expression he can guess that something happened.

"Ah... Young master, do you think you are a lucky person?" Orion asked in a strange tone.

"Lucky person? Maybe? I don't know." Archis said while scratching his head. He is inwardly thinking if his Uncle Orion is mocking him indirectly for requesting his help to search in this Dark mist valley.

"Hahaha Hahaha....." hearing his response Orion began to laugh wildly. Hearing his laugh Archis's expression became more awkward. Only after laughing for a while did Orion slowly stop.

Immediately he said, " Young master, don't worry. You are definitely lucky. In fact, I have never seen a person luckier than you." Orion said in a tone filled with elation.

"Hmm...",Archis frowned as he heard that. His uncle Orion is no doubt a warm person. But, he had never seen him being so talkative. As he was thinking suddenly a thought came to his mind and he raised his eyebrows. He immediately took two steps forward and stood beside Orion.

"This... Hundred-Poison-Flower." Saying this his looked ahead dazed at the violet-colored flower which bloomed from a plant that was surrounded by the apparition of a large green-colored serpent with its body coiled around the plant and its head raised as it hissed at them.

Coincidentally, the area of ten meters around this plant is empty of the grey fog.
