Both of their eyes were wide open, still unable to believe what they were seeing. Siuxa reflexively covered her lips with both hands, her legs were weak and almost fell to the floor. However, she did not have the heart to leave Meagu in such a chained state, she ran towards her with tears already falling.
Siuxa knelt right before Meagu who looked down, the silver hair that reflected the torch next to her looked dull and messy - concealed her face. But, when Siuxa draped her mane, that exquisite countenance was still intact although it was filled with dirt and dust. She embraced her bare tight and cried out loud.
The black-haired woman's scream echoed throughout the corridor, waking up the few captives who were there. While Renxian hobbled over, his eyes were still fixed on the unconscious Meagu whose head was straddled on Siuxa's left shoulder.
"Who... who did this to you?" he mumbled, knelt before them, and held Meagu's feeble hand.
