Chapter 13:Secret realm

X Street in a hotel lobby.

Richard was sitting in a lounge drinking tea while waiting for the hour of their meeting to arrive.He was brooding over the fact that Theo didn't even give him a clue as to what the meeting would be about.

He scattered the thought out of his mind and went over the method he had been practicing for the past few days.After such a short practice he has already broken through to level four and truly awoken his ability.One that has made him very happy.

Even when his ability was pre-awakened it can't be compared to after it was awakened.He waited for about ten minutes when the clock struck,it was 11 am.The meeting was about to begin.

He went up to the desk, took out his phone and showed the barcode to the woman to scan it.When it was confirmed he was allowed to go up to the room.

Existing the elevator Richard immediately felt the pressure from this floor.The top most floor only had Law stage experts and their servants who are at least Refinement 9 stage,making Richard's knees buckle from the suppression of higher beings.

Sweat rolled down his face as he walked slowly towards the room.The closer he got the harder it became to walk and the less he could breathe.He gritted his teeth and pushed on until he was infront of the door.

For Richard turning the handle of this door was the hardest thing he has ever done in his life so far.When he finally pushed the door open and entered the pressure dissapeared.Because of the sudden dissapearance he wasn't able to adapt quickly enough and fell down.

"See I told you he would make it."

"You are right as always young master."

When Richard looked up he saw Theo and the man in the mask talking to each other.There were three others in the room with them two women and one man.Each of them gave Richard the feeling they could crush him instantly.He got up from the ground and dusted his clothes.

"Now we are just waiting for one more person then we can begin.Ah,here he comes now."

Theo had just finished when Richard felt like a beast had come behind him ready to pounce on him at any second.He turned and saw a buff man with huge muscles and tattoos standing there with a savage aura,making him back away subconsciously.

"Since everyone I here shall we begin?"

"Wait,young master Theo,if I may ask what is a weakling like him doing here?"

The one who asked the question while pointing at Richard was a woman in a purple dress fitting so tightly it displays he curves beautifully,with black long flowing hair and cherry red luscious lips,the only thing that came to Richard's mind is poisonous.

He had seen many women like this while traveling for work and all of them could ensnare men while killing them without them even knowing.

"Well Beth,he is here because he has a very special attribute we need for this expedition of ours.So in a sense I would say he is here because he will play a crucial role later."

Beth then stared at Richard with disdain and let the matter go.

"So before we continue let's introduce everyone shall we.As you all now know this sharp tongue woman over here is Beth,the other plain looking one is Amanda.While that beastly fellow over there Antoer,the shady looking one is called Nicholas and the quite one is...well I don't actually know he never told me I just call him red hair and he responds."

Theo introduced while pointing at everyone.First the woman in the purple dress,then at a woman with glasses and brown sweater after at the guy with the beastly aura.He then continued with the one that wears a hood while standing in a corner looking ready to escape at anytime and lastly at the man with red hair sitting quietly with his eyes closed.

"So the reason why I called you here is because I have found a secret realm of a fallen awakened whose cultivation was higher than a Domain stage expert.The sad thing is only Refinement stage awakened can enter barring me from entering."

Nicholas then furrowed his brows while the other showed shocked and greedy expressions.

"What!?Is that true!?"

"Imagine the wealth is that realm not to mention the inheritance of cultivation methods and combat arts!"

Theo looked at their excitement in disdain as if what they are about to get would be theirs.

"I get that you found the secret realm but why did you gather us?To explore it for you?Why didn't you just ask your family for help?"Nicholas asked.

He was not blinded by the prospect of treasures as he knew to look at things logically from a different standpoint.

Everyone then calmed down from their excitement and realized what Nicholas said was true.Even if they bring out treasures,cultivation methods or combat arts it wouldn't be theirs.All of it would have to go to Theo and even if they wanted to resist they would die a meaningless death.

"Well if I did that I would have to share what is found in the secret realm with my family and that is not something I want.So I decided to hire you five to get what I need from it with Richard's help Ofcourse since he will be a key part in this."

Everyone's attention then turned to Richard who was standing alone away from everyone with a fervent expression,not having come back from the reality of being able to gain treasures of someone with a higher cultivation than the Domain stage.Then all of them had the same thought.

'How is this idiotic weakling supposed to play an essential part?"
