Her dumplings
By the time they got back to Liwei's house, its already well after lunch. The house is in chaos as she expected. Every time her whole family gets together, it's always a mess. So with a wedding happening, its already expected from them to be more chaotic than usual. Everybody is busy with the last minute details for the wedding. After saying hi to her family members, Liwei left to go to their house.
Her father checked on her foot and was deemed still unwell so she was carted off to Liwei's room , also known as her room now, with her foot up and kept warm with a compress.
Already bored with just sitting, Lina was thinking of what she can do when her phone message alert beeped.
Ki Ha: I'll be in Miresa tomorrow, early morning. Just a quick shoot for an ad.
Lina: Okay, bring your suit with you
Ki Ha: Okay, anything else madam?
Lina: Yeah, actually there is. I'll send you the link, buy it before you come. one size bigger than you is okay.
Lina then went online to check for a male wedding band that will suit Liwei. It's not a lot but she thought that she should give him something for the wedding. After a few minutes, she decided on what she wants. Liwei is a bit bigger than Ki Ha in terms of their natural body structure, same with their hands, so the sizing should not be far off.

Lina: Make sure to bring it
Ki Ha: Okay okay, I'll see you tomorrow
Lina: Bye! Take care my puppy!
It's still early in the evening so she decided to take her laptop, which she only uses specifically for her new hobby, hacking.
She logged in to her usual chat room and saw that her hacker best friend is online.

bad_dumpling_xx: Eww, I didn't miss you at all. Where have you been? I found a project for us
"Haha". Lina laughs, having fun already. She has met bad dumpling about a year ago. Lina met her by chance when she started browsing the darker side of the internet when she was has taken some interest about hacking. By accident, she entered this chat room and saw that they have similar user name so Lina chatted her up.
When they started talking, she found out that bad dumpling is there to hack illegal websites she finds as a past time. She then took Lina online with her on one of her "hacking sessions", Lina fell in love with her charm automatically. So she pestered her constantly for a week to teach her on how to do it and a lot of suggestions. Baddy, as she calls her, suggested learning materials for her to use, which computer specs to buy and gave her a chance to practice.
They have never met in person or spoken with audio, only through chat. She knows very little about her. Except the fact that she's a single female, very very single like her, and Seilish, roughly the same age as her, they don't know anything about each other's personal lives. Baddy doesn't like leaving her house and makes money freelancing internet "jobs" as she called it. She also hates showing affection so Lina does it every chance to piss her off.

goody_dumpling_xo: I know. Should I tell you the details now? Or after
bad_dumpling_xx: After. Let's do it!
For the next 3 hours, Lina and Baddy hacked an illegal website dealing with wild animals making sure the media is informed of their details and the police so the dealers gets a big headache. By the time they are done, Lina felt tired so she said goodbye to her friend and promised to chat with her tomorrow to tell her everything and then went to bed.
Lina woke up when the bed shook a little bit and felt like someone jumped on the bed and a heavy weight engulfed her body.
"Nana, wake up. You have a lot to tell me." Ki Ha wakes his best friend from her sleep.
"Ugghhh, too early. Later." She promised sleepily, as she tried to push him off of her.
"I'll throw the ring out." Ki Ha threatened her as he left the bed to pick up something from his bag on the floor.
Lina sat up and glared at her most precious friend, "Where did you learn bad manners from?"
"Haha, from you. Now tell me, what did they mean when they said you're getting married? Today?"
Taking a deep breath, there's no avoiding this now. Putting up one finger towards Ki Ha, Lina picked up the intercom phone answered by a staff, "Hi. If you're not too busy, can I bother you to bring up some coffee please?"
"Go to the sofa and wait for the coffee, i'll wash up and be right out." She tells her friend as she walked to the bathroom.
By the time she's done, Ki Ha is in the attached living room with her sisters and mothers, sharing a laugh.
"Nana, we are going to the old house now. Jenny will be here to help you bathe later then she will bring you there too. You'll do your make up and get changed there." Her mother quickly told her and off they went before Nana can respond pulling her sisters out the door.
"But I know how to take a bath?" She looked at her friend who just shrugged as he poured coffee for both of them. Hers, with milk and sugar. His, just with sugar.
"So start." Ki Ha demanded after they took a sip of their coffees.
"Do you remember that night 2 years ago"… Lina told the full story from start until what happened yesterday.
Ki Ha was silent for a while as she finished her story. Until he reached out and held her hand.
"Nana, you don't have to do this if you really don't want to. I'll take you away!" Her best friend sincerely offered her. Ki Ha will give anything Lina asks him in a heartbeat.
"Oh no. Stop it right there, I don't want any more bruises in me." She smiled at Ki Ha and continued, "Thank you and I know that but I have accepted this already so it's better to just get it done."
"As long as you're sure."
"I'm sure." She assured him with a smile.
