10. Non Cooperation Movement

1920, Bengal, India

The WW1 has ended and British government is taking control of its colonies and suppressing revolts very agressively everywhere. To reduce the chances of revolt from India they have issued Rowlat Act just like in my world. They still committed Jalianwala Bagh massacre and I was unable to do anything. I will soon start Non Cooperation Movement against this to avenge those who died. I am keeping close eye on Congress so that they don't launch it before me because I can't let them gain too much popularity otherwise I will be unable to change anything.

On the other hand I have spread my influence in all states of India other than Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir. I am atill in talks with Balochistan, Sindh, Sri Lanka and Myanmar. I am also still trying convince Gond and other tribes to join me. These are the only places in which I was not able to spread my influence before British government started focusing on these things and suppressing any nationalist or revolutionary movements.

In this period I also married 5 other women.

They are as follows:

Parvati, princess of Cochin

Durga, princess of Mewar

Ayesha, daughter of a rich and influential muslim businessman of Bengal

Saraswati, princess of Manipur

And Lakshmi, princess of Garhwal.

While I married them for alliances and influence they bring from their regions, I have come to love them all equally. I have to keep an eye out for Ayesha as my only wife that is not a princess and is a muslim in the start but it was not needed as my wives did not treat her any different than others. Ayesha even agreed to change her religion and name but I stopped her as I don't wanted her to do something she doesn't like and she also helped in gaining support from Muslims.

This way all my wives helped in stablishing my party in different parts of the country. Durga in West, Parvati in South, Saraswati in East and Rajputana (Rajasthan) and Lakshmi in North and Uttar Pradesh. And Ayesha helped in gathering support from muslims of Bengal and assured princely states like Hyderabad and many more that there interest will not be harmed.

This secured most of India for me now I just have to start my movements and keep doing things to gain popularity among public. So, I am going to start my movement and will also reveal that I am Agradoot who helped them. But my movement should be around the same time as Gandhi as this time British are more prepared than in my world.

I timed my movement accurately, Gandhi started it on the same date as in my world but I already started it two weeks earlier and due to the support I gained from nobility and the time spent roaming all over India and helping villages and district helped in gathering more support than in my world. British government was unable to tackle with it as the Indian members of police force was purposefully delaying or creating problems in the management of the department. Same thing happened in judicial, railway and all departments under British government.

While Congress preaching of made in India goods created problems for people because of factory made goods being cheaper, I didn't do anything like that and asked them to use Indian goods only for those products that are available cheaply and some goods I made in my company was imported. This helped in damaging British trade without harming the interest of people.

And so things continued for 2 years. While the movement was a non violent one but there was still some violence in some areas. So when some police station were burned which was mostly filled of cruel British officers and their Indian supporters in police force, Gandhi decided to call of the movement but I didn't do anything like that as it was crucial to keep the pressure on British. Afterall what was done is done. Goals are not achieved without sacrifices better it be people like those than innocent people.

Seeing this Britishers decided to ban our party and arrest all known members as we kept our meetings and members secret. So I asked all the members to run away for now and hide in my safehouses. As we were forced to run away, people without guidance slowly returned back home.

While we may not be able to gain independence, we still made people question the British rule and their strength. It also brought confidence in tribal people that I am able to help them and started joining me.

During this period in hiding I used my secret forces to hunt any cruel officer or noble as soon as possible and make sure that a good person take the place of noble. I also coordinated many strikes with my forces and tribals against British government and was able to revert control of many forests to tribals again. This helped them very much. I also trained them to incorporate their hunting style with military training so they will not be subjugated again.

We kept doing this until Britishers have to finally call us for peace talks as while we kept masks on our faces we made it clear that we are from BSS. They were forced to lift ban against us and promise to never ban our party again.

They can't declare our party as terrorist because infront of everyone we keep to non violence. No kill by my secret forces could be tied to us and most of my stealing as Agradoot was never seen by anyone and the in which I crashed party can't lead back to me as those who heard me say I am Agradoot are dead.

They tried arresting me several time but my scientific background created waves in other countries. When they tried to show that they were not torturing me I said that I was not fed for days, they don't let me sleep etc. and they were forced to release me due to this.

Everything was going well for now and I hope it stays the same but I never said it aloud to not jinx it.

This volume is going to be a small one as it will consist of struggle with colonial rule and it will be non violent so that the British can't use military force against Rudra.
