Incomplete System in Marvel

A man wakes up in the body of Peter Parker with almost no memories of his previous life. How will he survive in a Marvel Universe that is much more different and dangerous than just the movie universe? A system, of course! But what’s up with this system being in version 0.1 and having almost no features? ------------ Turn off your brain and don't put too much thought into things. I certainly didn't.

Web-slinging

I pick up my rewards off the ground and put them on the bed for further inspection. Thankfully nothing is broken, but then again, I suppose they wouldn't be fit for fighting if they broke from such a small fall.

The spiderman suit is the classic blue and red design made out of what I assume to be spandex. I say assume because I don't actually know what spandex feels like, but it definitely looks like the one from the movies.

The suit is separated into two parts: the mask and the rest, which is all a connected one-piece outfit. Looking at the inside of the mask closer, I can see some technological aspects in there, which surprised me as I thought the suit would be just for the purpose of disguising myself.

Suddenly I get an idea that makes me want to hit my head against the wall. I use observe on the suit, and it works. So far, I had only been spamming it on living people to gain XP, but now I realize I could have been doing the same for inanimate objects the entire time. Good thing too, ever since leveling up the skill, the XP gain has slowed down considerably.

[Classic Spider-man suit]

[Durability - 100 / 100]

[Features - Self-cleaning, Self-repairing, Radio system, Durability and protection increases with the endurance stat of the user]

------------------------------

The features of this suit have made me happy as it means I won't ever have to do any maintenance on it. I don't even know how I would go about repairing it if I had to. The radio system most likely refers to the stuff I saw inside the mask.

The last feature is a bit trickier as, for one, I can't even see how much protection the suit provides me. The observation skill just doesn't tell me, maybe it will once it levels up more. As for the durability, the maximum is currently 100, and I have 10 endurance, so each point probably gives me 10 durability.

I locked my door first, so May couldn't accidentally wander in and put on the suit. It fits perfectly as if it was made for me. The appearance, however, is really boring to me, especially when there are so many cooler-looking ones out there. I will make a better suit for myself the first chance I get.

As soon as I put it on, I can see a system window open that lets me control the radio system, I will leave that for later. For now, I will check out the Web shooters.

[Web shooters]

[Durability - 100 / 100]

[Features - Self-cleaning, Self-repairing, Durability increases with the endurance stat of the user, Strength of webs increases with the strength stat of the user, Lets you choose the strength of the webs shot]

------------------------------

Features of the Web shooters are fairly similar to the spiderman suit, the only thing that caught my eye is that the user's strength increases the strength of the webs. I hope my measly 10 strength doesn't mean the webs are super flimsy.

These things are surprisingly small as I put them on, my smooth brain can't comprehend how these would be able to shoot so many webs. There is a small hole through which I can insert web fluid into them, it seems they came pre-filled, which is convenient for me.

The web fluid recipe was pushed straight to my head and not a physical thing like the suit and web-shooters that dropped to the floor with the completion of the quest. It wouldn't be difficult at all to make as I could get all the materials needed for it from Amazon for a cheap cost.

The webs will dissolve immediately after I let go of them if I wish them to, but I can also choose the let them stay, in which case they dissolve automatically after an hour.

With everything on, I open the window and crawl up the wall to the roof, being careful to stay in the shadows as much as possible so people wouldn't be able to sniff out where Spiderman lives at.

Once on the roof, I look around the neighborhood. I live a little ways away from the big part of the city with skyscrapers and tall buildings, everything around me is at most two-story buildings that would be difficult to web-sling on with me having no experience.

With my stats being that of an average human, it would hurt like hell if I fell off one as well, not to mention I don't even know if the webs are strong enough to hold my body weight with my measly 10 strength.

Playing to my advantage is the fact that it is already 8 PM during late October, meaning it is dark outside, and nobody would be able to see me fail. The darkness is no problem for me with my night vision skill.

I could go back to my room now and try again once I've trained some, but I'm going to have to try at some point, so why not start now. Hesitantly I aim my hand at the top of the chimney of the house next door and shoot out the web.

It hits accurately, and at first, I try to pull on it with all my strength to test how strong it is. I almost expected it to break right away, but it holds firm, feeling like the strongest rope I have ever seen.

[DING!]

[New skill created - Web Slinging]

------------------------------

[Web Slinging - Active] (Level 1 - 1%)

[Cost - 25 SP per minute]

Allows the used to Web-sling, level increases speed and ease of use.

------------------------------

The description of this skill is as vague and unclear as all others. How about telling me how much it increases my speed with each level? Just please give me exact numbers on things, system.

With the current stamina drain, I would be able to keep up web-slinging for 10 minutes which isn't as short of a time as it sounds. I could probably circle the entire city in that time if I went as fast as an experienced spiderman like in the movies. Plus, I'm guessing the cost will go down as the level increases.

The skill, however, does give me innate knowledge on how to actually web swing. Confident in the strength of the web, I pull myself forward, launching toward the building at high speed.

I am just barely able to react and move my feet ahead of me as they hit the wall of the building. I let go of the web and make it dissolve as I use wall-crawling to climb up to the roof of this building.

On the roof, I take a moment to catch my breath. Seeing that there are still nearly 20 houses before I am able to make it out of this neighborhood, I aim at the next chimney and repeat the process.
