Noah has been plagued by a recurring zombie-related nightmare for years. Unlike a typical nightmare, his is lucid, with realism similar to that of reality. Each time he dies in the dream, he wakes up in the real world, only to have the nightmare start again the next time he falls asleep.
He tried using therapy, drugs, voodoo, 'magic' and many other various methods to end this recurring nightmare, but it remained persistent. The pain of being ripped apart by zombies, killed by humans, and the pain of dying, slowly started deteriorating his mind, leading to complications in his real life.
After one incident caused by his madness, Noah decided not to let the nightmare control his life anymore. He started to view the nightmare as a game, using it to gain skills, fluency in multiple languages and even make money by writing about his experiences.
But everything changes in the fourth year of the nightmare. On that day, the world suddenly turned into the one from his nightmare. Now, zombies roam the planet looking for flesh. Armed with the skill of an apocalypse survivalist and the knowledge of how to utilize the divine biochemical substance that caused the apocalypse, Divinium, Noah must navigate this new world and survive.
