As I run through the forest, suddenly I hear a cry at a distance making me halt.
I hear the cry again and decide to take a look.
As I approach the area I heard the noise, I see a figure sprawled on the floor. On closer look, I discover it is a young femalewolf that just came of age. Her clothes were torn and she looked dirty.
I discovered that her right foot was hurt and her body held series of briuses. Probably the reason for the cry I heard. She probably fainted from pain or from exhaustion.
Why was such a young girl out here in the woods alone? Was she a rogue? She smells nothing like a rouge. But she smelled nothing like a pack member either. It looks like she had been on her own for quite some time.
Only by taking a closer look at her do I finally discover something astonishing.
She had pale white skin and silver hair.
I had earlier come across a stream nearby and so I carry her there. I try tending to her wonds to the best of my abilities and also clean her hair and skin a little just so she looks presentable. I wrapped my shirt around her frail body and after some time, decided to wake her up.
"Hey wake up little one..." I say as I gently shake her awake which earned me a weak groan.
"Wake up . We can't stay here all night." I called out this time shaking her harder. She stir alittle before finally opening her eyes and I froze.
I have never seen anything so breath taking before.
They were so transparent. Like two crystal hubs
I didn't know my hands were already tracing her lids till I heard her whimper as she said in the most gentle voice "don't hurt me."
""No, no." I find myself saying immediately as I retract my hands. I won't hurt you, I just saved you. " I announced trying to calm her down
"Oh..." She said looking like a little deer caught in headlight. Though her eyes were opened, I noticed they didn't actually catch or reflect any light. Was she blind?
"Yes I am." She said surprising me.
" Did I say that out loud?" I asked my self
"Yes you did." She spoke with a confidence that her voice didn't have a few seconds ago. A confidence her appearance doesn't project.
"Oh...what's a blind young she wolf like you doing far away from home?" I asked her.
"I don't have a home..." She whispered as she looked down at her hands on her lap with unseeing eyes.
She doesn't have a home? Maybe she was one of those that survived the rogue attacks
"Well now you do." I say decisively.
" What do you say about joining my pack?" I asked her.
"Uhmm, I don't know... Is it really okay if I do? How can I trust you? How can you trust me? We are but strangers after all" she asked me all at once, sounding a bit weary of me. A little too weary for someone who has such a calm appearance.
"Hey, hold onto your leash little one. One question at a time." I answered finding the whole situation amusing.
"I saved your life just now remember? Besides we won't be starngers anymore if we tell each other our names" I debated.
"I'm Joel, what's your name?" I ask initiating the process.
She seems reluctant to tell me her name, but after a while of internal debate within her self, she decides to speak.
"My name is moon"
