Have You Gained Weight?

Even though Peter verbally agreed, Russell could see the little thoughts running through his mind.

However, he didn't say anything more.

He had already given all the reminders he needed to.

If Peter continued to be disobedient and insisted on being rebellious, then he would have to experience the consequences of his rebellion firsthand.

Teenagers in their rebellious phase like Peter often couldn't understand the good intentions of adults until they personally experienced the serious consequences.

"For the next few days, after school, you don't need to go to the lab. Just come directly to the Justice League headquarters."

"I'll arrange for a driver to pick you up, and you'll come here every day to practice with the Hulk, trying to quickly master the new powers you've gained," Russell said to Peter.

"Alright!"

Peter quickly replied.

After giving these instructions, Russell allowed Peter to move freely.

Peter had no idea that Russell had secretly instructed White Zetsu No. 16 to keep an eye on him and, if necessary, take control of his body to bring him back to the Justice League headquarters.

Once Peter left the equipment development lab, Russell, on his own, headed to the open-air balcony in his bedroom to bask in the sun.

Although he spent some time in the sun every day, he had no worries about getting sunburned like a normal person. His Kryptonian physiology made him immune to such effects.

As he lay on the couch, soaking up the sun's nourishment, he contemplated the upcoming arrangements.

Peter's situation had been settled for now.

The next step was to arrange a press conference for him, officially making Spider-Man a new member of the Justice League.

There had been a minor hiccup with Hydra, but it wasn't a significant issue. It only accelerated the timeline to become the master of Hydra.

What Russell needed to focus on now was his meeting with the Sorcerer Supreme, Ancient One, and the potential threat of alien invaders that S.H.I.E.L.D. might unwittingly attract.

After some thought, Russell decided to meet with Ancient One in three days.

He didn't know what Ancient One was planning, but it was a matter that needed to be addressed sooner rather than later.

As for S.H.I.E.L.D., he wasn't particularly concerned at the moment.

The Chitauri army was not very strong, and they had a fatal weakness. Once their mothership was destroyed, the Chitauri would collectively shut down like machines.

If the opportunity presented itself, a single nuclear bomb or a high-yield missile could easily eliminate the threat.

After two hours of sunbathing at the Justice League headquarters, Russell flew to the headquarters of Octopus Monster Industry.

After dealing with various documents from his diligent blonde secretary, Ellie, Russell went to the recently established Octopus Monster Media Company within the Octopus Monster Industry building.

Octopus Monster Media was also located in the Octopus Monster Industry building, just a little over ten floors away from Russell's top-floor office.

When he arrived at Octopus Monster Media's office floor, he saw Kara, who was currently dressed in her Supergirl costume.

The Supergirl costume Kara was currently wearing was not Russell's preferred blue mini-skirt version.

Upon seeing Russell's arrival, Kara quickly approached, taking his right hand and pressing her shapely body against his.

Then, she immediately started talking about the movie script.

Russell had come here because, while signing various documents earlier, he had noticed that Octopus Monster Media had submitted an application to start filming a movie.

This was a superhero movie starring Kara, with a budget of 300 million dollars.

Besides Kara as the female lead, the movie would also feature some crossover with the Hulk and Gwen.

Although Russell hadn't personally written the script, he had given Octopus Monster Media's screenwriter a mandatory requirement.

He didn't want just a standalone superhero movie; he wanted a superhero movie series, just like the Marvel Cinematic Universe within this Marvel Universe.

Every member of the Justice League would have their own standalone movie, even Godzilla and Grendel.

Currently, only Kara's standalone movie had completed the initial preparations.

Kara was busy discussing the details of the script with Russell while leading him into her private dressing room.

With just a glance, Kara made the makeup artists and staff leave the room.

While their relationship outside the office was that of comrades within the organization, it wasn't a secret within Octopus Monster Industry that there was some ambiguity between Russell and Kara.

Kara had initially appeared at Octopus Monster Industry as Russell's secretary.

When she was alone in her dressing room with Russell, Kara, like an elegant older sister, pushed him down on the sofa.

Then, she sat on his lap, her hands wrapping around his neck.

"Since I moved, you've been coming over less and less. Are you planning to abandon me, you fickle guy?" Kara raised her eyebrows and said playfully.

"Abandon you? Do you think I'm that kind of person?" Russell laughed and said, extending his hands to embrace Kara's slender and tempting waist, moving them up and down.

But soon, he frowned.

"Have you gained weight? Your waist seems thicker than before."

"Weight gain? Where did I gain weight? You're the one who's gained weight!" Kara pouted, her face showing displeasure.

"No weight gain? Let me check then!" Russell said with a smile.

Upon hearing Russell's words, Kara finally reacted and playfully punched him in the chest with her small, fair, but powerful fists.

Although it was just a playful gesture, it was worth noting that not many men could withstand her playfulness. If it were any other man, there was a high probability they would end up with broken ribs and a trip to the ICU.

Though the dressing room wasn't an ideal place for playing board games, especially with staff constantly moving in and out, it didn't deter Kara and Russell from their intention to play a game of chess.

Soon, the dressing room was filled with the sound of Kara trying to suppress her laughter as she played chess with Russell.

Happy times always seemed to pass quickly.

Unbeknownst to them, an hour had already gone by.

After finishing their chess game, Russell and Kara each straightened their clothes.

"I've reviewed the proposal for the film, and there don't seem to be any major issues. You can go ahead with the filming."

"Don't worry about the budget; as the first superhero movie for the Justice League, it needs to have the best quality and effects."

"This isn't just your personal movie; it's the beginning of a series of superhero movies for the Justice League. So, it has to be top-notch."

After tidying up their clothes, Russell told Kara.

"Got it, I understand. I'll relay the message to the director."

Kara flashed a sweet smile like the sun and said.
