Soon Hinata and Ino came to the fighting ring and as ready to start the fight.

"This particular fight is not going to be very difficult for Ino. I don't think that Hinata will push herself as she did in the anime" mutters Kirito as he also knew that the reason why Hinata was pushing herself so much was that she was getting motivated as Naruto was cheering her and she was fighting her cousin so she also has to proof something to them.

"Naruto should not cheer for Hinata this time around right" questioned Kirito to himself.

"Hinata Hyuga vs Ino Yamanaka," Said the Proctor as all the people's attention went towards them.

"Start" announced the proctor and the fight started.

Both the girls did not move and just took their respective fighting stances.

Hinata never wanted to be a shinobi in the first place. Just like Haku in the cannon, She is too soft for this lifestyle.

But it's not like she can change that right.

Ino was the first one to move. She started by throwing many senbon towards Hinata. Hinata already activated her Bayakugan and started parring and dodging the senbons with her juke fist technique.

Naruto at this time was cheering Ino.

"Maybe it was what Neji was saying in the preliminary in the anime which made Naruto cheer for Hinata," thought Kirito.

"But I can't do anything but wonder how this will change the future. Will Hinata still stand up for Naruto if Pain attacks them in the future? Will Hinata still be kidnapped by that fake Otsutsuki" thought Kirito and sighed, So many questions and no answers.

The fight was still going on on the fighting ground. Hinata was trying to get closer to Ino but Ino knowing fully well that in close combat it's impossible to fight with Hinata, always kept her distance.

Soon Ino resorted to Genjutsu and her clan mind transfer jutsu. Hinata being from the Hyuga clan naturally knew about the other clans of Konoha. She knew that if she was hit by Ino's mind transfer then it would be over and thus she kept dodging and moving.

Hinata, with her lavender eyes focused and serene, activated her Byakugan. Her veins bulged around her eyes, granting her an unparalleled view of her opponent's chakra network. She had trained extensively to improve her fighting skills.

Without hesitation, Ino took the initiative, surging forward with impressive speed. She swiftly formed hand seals, her slender fingers weaving through the air with practised precision. Ino's technique took effect, and her consciousness surged towards Hinata's body, aiming to seize control.

However, Hinata's Byakugan granted her incredible reflexes and perception. As Ino's consciousness neared, Hinata's eyes widened, and she instinctively sidestepped, narrowly avoiding Ino's mind invasion. Hinata retaliated with lightning-fast strikes, her Gentle Fist technique aimed at crippling Ino's chakra points.

Ino, undeterred by the close call, leapt backwards, creating distance between them. She decided to alter her approach, shifting her focus to illusions and sensory manipulation. Ino channelled her chakra into a genjutsu, creating a captivating illusion that seemed to warp the environment around Hinata.

Hinata's Byakugan, however, enabled her to see through Ino's illusion. She focused her vision, piercing through the deceptive landscape, and locked her sights on the real Ino. Hinata charged forward, her hands glowing with a gentle, yet devastating, aura.

Ino realized that she had underestimated Hinata's perceptiveness. She dodged and weaved, her movements graceful and agile, evading Hinata's precise strikes. Ino seized the opportunity, using her Mind-Body Switch Technique once again. This time, she targeted Hinata's body with relentless determination.

Hinata, her senses heightened, sensed Ino's consciousness nearing her. She braced herself, calling upon her inner strength, and released a powerful surge of chakra. Hinata's chakra disrupted Ino's technique, causing her consciousness to recoil, narrowly avoiding being captured.

The battle raged on, both combatants displaying incredible skill and resilience. Ino adapted her strategy, combining her mind-altering techniques with physical attacks, creating a deadly combination. Hinata, on the other hand, utilized her Byakugan to exploit Ino's weaknesses, countering with precision strikes.

As the fight reached its climax, Ino devised a final plan. She created an illusionary clone, diverting Hinata's attention. While Hinata was momentarily distracted, Ino seized the opportunity, launching a devastating attack from behind. Her fists connected with Hinata's vulnerable chakra points, disrupting the flow and leaving her momentarily stunned.

Ino capitalized on the opening, channelling her chakra into a powerful blow. Hinata's body was propelled backwards, crashing into the ground. The impact left Hinata breathless, unable to continue the fight.

Victorious, Ino stood tall, her chest heaving with exertion.

"Hmm I Knew that Ino would win but never expected Hinata to push Ino this much," thought Kirito.

This further solidifies his mind that this world although the same as Naruto's world is still very different from the anime to which he is referring it.

"Awesome Ino, you did awesome, Dattebayo".

No need to explain who shouted this now.

Naruto at this point also wanted to fight but he did not pass the preliminary so he can't.

On the other side, Hinata came back to consciousness and went to her team with her head hung down.

"Don't worry Hinata, you did great. We will try next time" Kurenai comforted Hinata.

Hinata just nodded but at this time her father was looking at her with a disappointed look.

Ino also came back to her team with excitement.

"You did good Ino," Kirito said patting Ino's head. Ino of course did not dislike it and chirped happily.

"You said that you will go on a date with me after the test remember. We are going right".

Kirito smiled and nodded.

"Next fight is between Sasuke Uchiha and Gaara," said Genma

This brings all the audience's attention back to the ring. Kirito at this time was also thinking about whether Sasuke would come back in time or not.

Sakura on the other side was worried because Sasuke was not there.

Gaara was already in the fighting ring and was waiting.
