Chapter 203 At last
Paul and James were rushed to the hospital but it was too late.
“ I’m sorry sir, we lost him”. The doctor told James who is also struggling for his life and then he fell and fainted.
they rushed him and admitted him, but by the time he gain consciousness, Paul has already been covered with white clothes.
“No..no…no…no…, I need to go” James keeps shouting on his bed, and he starts struggling to come down from his hospital bed.
“Where’s Paul….! Where is my friend? we came here together”. He asks the nurses who are holding him down.
“I'm sorry sir but you can't go now, you need to stay in bed. We only need a contact of your friend’s family.
“Why? What happened”
“Am sorry sir, he’s dead”
“No…no…no…, he can’t die! What will I tell Christy, please, he can’t die”
“Am sorry sir, you need to contact his family” they need to take him to the mortuary. And as for you, we are going to admit you, your wound is very serious.”
Paul’s mum and dad arrived almost immediately followed by Christy and Bridget.
The hospital was filled with crying and shouting.
Christy could not be consoled, she threw herself to the ground and keep rolling.
“Where is Paul?.. where is Paul? I need to see Paul” she cried.
She was still crying when she had a sharp pain in her abdomen.
They rushed her to one of the rooms and the doctor examine her.
“She is due for delivering”. The doctor announces.
“No, I’m not giving birth, I’m not going to give birth without Paul”. She keeps crying, her mother-in-law tried consoling her, but she was beyond consoling, she wanted to die with Paul.
“How can she possibly leave without Paul? is better that she just die than live without him.”
They did all they could but Christy refused to push out the babies. The doctor announces that her condition is becoming so critical and that Christy needs to push or she was going to lose her life and that of her babies.
But Christy prefer to die than to live without Paul and so she gave up.
Paul’s mum couldn't take this, she keeps shouting and crying
“Bianca has killed me, Bianca has killed my son, I'm finished, what am I living for?”. She went to where Paul was laid and start shouting.
“Paul please get up, get up and let me die in your place, it is all my fault that you are lying down here, please get up and let me die in your place”. Her husband tries dragging her out of the place but she refuses.
She held Paul’s leg and start shaking him, she shake him so vigorously, and then she felt like his big toes move.
“What!... what!.. what!!.. he’s alive, my son is alive, doctor… doctor.. my son is alive”. They rushed to call the doctor and immediately they plug all their instrument into him and they found his pulse beating again.
As they were running around trying to revive him back to life they thought they heard him say something like “Christy,..where is Christy?”
The doctor asks that they should roll Christy to where Paul is and they place his hand on Christy’s stomach while reviving Paul. After about an hour Christy’s fingers started shaking and everyone was amazed including the doctor.
“This is a miracle!” they all shouted.
They roll Christy to where she was revived, but the doctor asks that they should operate on her and bring out the babies.
Paul and Christy stayed in a coma for three days and then finally came back to life.
Bianca was sentenced to ten years imprisonment for possessing a gun and attempting murder, James made sure of that.
Paul and Christy went ahead to live a happy life together without any interruption.
