SHEILA

Sheila stopped on hearing the footsteps. She turned back to see who it was but there was no one there.

"Who is there?" Sheila asked, the fear evident in her voice. She turned around sharply at the sound of the nearby bushes rustling. "Anyone around?" There was still no response and Sheila knew that she had to start moving immediately. There was definitely someone out there. She held her slippers in her hand and started running. She ran as fast as she could, the blood constantly dripping from the cut on her wrists. She was losing blood and she had started getting weak. She kicked a stone and fell down under a tree. She had sprained and her and ankle and from the position she was, she knew that it was not looking good for her. She tried standing up again but her legs were too weak. Her eyes went shut as the pain started setting in, jutting through her legs up to her knees and down to her legs again. She knew that the end was near for her.
