CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO:Would Angelina Swear An Oath To The Family?

I have always known that there was something going on with boss Alejandro,the moment he had spared the redhair's life.

She wasn't lucky to be alive,that luck was only but a ticking time bomb that might explode any time soon,after watching Boss Alejandro nearly strangle Nicole to death.

Not that i cared about what he does to her anyway,she's an annoying bitch  that had only gotten her recognition in the gang  by being the boss's whore.

Nate doesn't seem to have a problem with that,and i couldn't help but feel bad for Nicole, who thinks that this was any Barbie story where the beast falls in love with the beauty.

That's not going to happen.

Because this time around,the beauty  has  changed and  this is not about her anymore,this is about Angelina Lopez ,the criminal's daughter who the boss had taken a liking to.

I couldn't be so sure of my suspicion,and bet me this was no new news anymore,there was this rumor that he had fallen for the redhair and that's why she was still alive.

Thus, betraying the gang,and disobeying one of the laws of the gang.He had always been the one, who had shown no mercy to anyone who betrays nor fuck with him.

Oh! How he made everyone get used to that,but right now things had changed ever since she walked into the gang.

Nothing yet had been made about what's going on,and as much  as everyone wanted her dead.As Long as the boss had not said anything about that,they were as well mere whispers in the cold nights with no ear to listen.

Angelina was digging her grace,a very big one, by fighting him at every corner,if anything, she should be grateful that he spared her life, and had been actually thinking of her working for him.

But she messed things up by raising the blade up to his face,the fire dancing in those brown orbs of hers didn't go unnoticed by him.

A burning flame strived and quickened by hate,anger and adrenaline added together to kill Alejandro,the deadliest man to have existed.

I was scared.

I couldn't lie.

I was scared that her dear body would be found lying in the ground,for what she did.No one had dared to point accusing fingers at him,if they treasured their life.

Talkmore of raising any weapon at him,but only one person had been able to do that in history,a girl.Angelina Lopez,the boss's crush.

"Hey man, what's up with you?"Neo interrupted his thoughts, joining him at the bar as the bar man  poured a drink out for him.

Here he was,in Alejandro's club,one out of many clubhouses that is  registered in his name,one of the clubs where she will be working in real soon.

I should have been glad that this was where life brought her, at least she gets to stay alive and she had to be appreciative of it and i too had to do that.

I didn't wanted her dead in the first place,how could i wish for that for  the very first woman who had captured my  heart the very first moment i saw her.

You must be going crazy Juan,no! You definitely have lost your mind.

My subconscious shouts at me,as I regain my senses only to stay at the worrisome face ,or can i say the suspecting face of Neo watching keenly to know what's up with me.

"What exactly is going on man,girl issues i assume?"He asked, dropping his glass  as the bar man refilled it again,but i had not drank mine,not for once since he came over to sit with him.

"I could help you with that man,so spill?''Neo urged,which made  me stop for a bit to think of what he was offering and what i could only think out of this, was that he was nothing but a fool to think that this was all about a girl.

Definitely it is about a girl Neo,a girl, Angelina Lopez!

I nearly said that out loudly,but i doubted if Neo would be kind enough to keep this to himself without ratting me  out to boss Alejandro,who will in turn kill me  infront of the woman who i was feeling things for.

Feelings?

For Angelina,the boss's enemy?

I tried.

Oh! How i tried not to believe that there would ever be a time in my life that i will be smitten with a lady,talkmore of that lady being the enemy of the gang.

No one knew.

Angelina doesn't even know that i was feeling things for her the very first moment i laid his eyes on her,she had no idea that i was only trying to save her life by trying to talk her out of annoying the boss further.

No one knew about that,and that's what it had to be.No one had to know,no one including the boss who had already started to suspect that I  had gone weak.

Nor neither the eager Neo who fancies these sorts of talks,but i could commend Neo has a recognable record in handling women related issues.

He's an expert at it,but he will not  give me  any instructions to follow about what i felt for that lady who was locked up,ready to be sent to the club.

Boss Alejandro wasn't joking when he said that he would have her working for him,which irked me.

The mere thoughts of those men out there gawking at her, eyeraping her and also who knows?

They would always try  their chances to have a go at her,and to have to have her in their beds.

What would you do when that time comes, Juan?

Would you be her prince in shining armor to save your princess or would you choose the gang?

"Juan!"Neo shouted at me ,this time he  was done with me  and  my  nasty attitude of keeping  him on hold to what he had to say about this offer.

"Piss off Neo,this is no woman shit"I said, gulping my drink down in one go as my phone started vibrating against my pockets.

"Okay,if you say so,you can deny it all you want but i can see it in your eyes Juan,you have a woman and very soon the gang would be craving to know who this special is"

Neo said,more like recalling me  of what the lady had to do inorder not to be tagged an enemy.

She has to swear her loyalty to the family,as long as it's an outsider and not someone already working for boss Alejandro.

Which brings me to the crazy question that demands no answer because it made no sense,not at all.

Would Angelina swear an oath to the family?

That would be over her dead body,and also over my  dead body too that after it gets out that the woman Neo is talking about is no one but the enemy, Angelina Lopez.
