Chapter one: Is my reality truly a fantasy?

Consciousness returning and my vision slowly shifting to a focus I sat up on the surface I previously laid on then carefully observe my surroundings on top of what appeared to be an altar in a abandoned church filled with broken windows and the damp smell of mold that originated in several of the wooden furnishings in this church including a giant cross behind me

It was then I noticed something rather bizarre besides waking up in an abandoned church after having such a surreal dream it was the fact that I could see what's behind me without ever having to look over my shoulder

That wasn't a dream an intrusive thought that echo in the back of my subconscious that accepted the seemingly false reality I was placed in but I was consciously doubtful of my situation I decided to reach over to my left arm and pinch it with my right only to discover that I lack my left limb and after that I remembered the battle I had against Naruto then I suffered a striking realization one that was faster and more powerful then any punch I received in either sets of memories that I now possessed and in exceptional clarity

is this my reality ?

A small part of me still chose not to accept it as if it was conditioned not to fearful of ever considering it a feasible possibility and further grounded by my sense of reality the reality I was born and developed in the reality bound by realism we're the fantastical is merely a fantasy thought up by the imaginative and only truly believed by the delusional that were unable to accept they're overwhelmingly miserable unhappy lives they were born and grew into and the truly ignorant that believed unquestionably in the fantasy in their reality

Is this reality?.... I must be insane to even consider this... situation reality it's only rational for all of this to be a dream of a overactive but fatigued mind it's nothing more than a mere figment of one's own imagination

Right?

And i begin to reach for my thigh hesitantly with my shaky arm with shakier resolve then violently grabbing hold of it with a pinch like grip and twist is flesh mercilessly only to feel shocking pain in return

I sat there doubt shattered and my faith in reality equally as fragmented

Is my reality truly a fantasy?

This should be impossible right?

How is this a figment of my imagination?

How can I possibly imagine this?

I Can't beat this delusional right?

Does it matter

Either way

it's all the same

Whether it's a reality or a fantastical delusion dreamed up by an asylum patient who believe this to be reality the solution is all the same real or fiction

because one way or another i'll have to live through this

situation

since I have to live through this situation It's best if I come up with some sort of plan or at least a checklist of things I should prioritize right now for instance finding out my current location as well as some way to heal my left arm yeah that should be my priority right now at least until I can finalize any sort of long-term plan and considering that bizarre dream is and in all likelihood not a dream and is related to this situation then that means I should have a few options both in DXD and as Sasuke Uchiha

now think is there a way to heal my missing arm in DXD I don't think Twilight healing can restore limbs assuming i remember right

so maybe Phoenix tears or that holy Grail or whatever it's called seems to be my best option in this world that i can think of as for my options as Sasuke well honestly it's a shame that's he doesn't have hashirama cell's or have some sort of ability to restore my body..... Wait

Sasuke had hashirama cell's injected into his heart by Kabuto after being killed by Madara Uchiha although i doubt it would be enough to replace my entire arm by itself but maybe with the rinnegan or more particularly the Naraka Path i'll be able to summon the king of hell which has both a interrogation ability and a restoration one and pain using it to restore his corpse bodies so there's a chance if I can manage to extract a small amount of hashirama cell's from my body and use the king of hell's restoration ability on it I might be able to acquire enough to graft an entire arm onto myself and I should have those rinnegan abilities because it has already granted Sasuke the use of several six paths abilities before and I even remember using them in my fights as Sasuke after receiving it

Actually couldn't I just jump into the king of hells mouth and use its restoration ability directly on myself although that's assuming

if it can even restore a living body I suppose there's only one way to find out

Using the experience I received as Sasuke I focus on my chakra that flows within my body throughout its network particularly my left eye and as I begin to activate it's abilities I felt it blazing ominously with its own power and I feel an eerily whisper in my subconscious [Naraka Path] it stated as a purple flame emerges from the floor behind the altar in this dilapidated church The king of hell is conjured from the purple flames with it mouth stretched open above the altar and it's tendral like tongue slithered and wrapped itself around me and pulled me in to its mouth (This isn't disturbing at all I thought to myself sarcastically)

I felt a noticeable drain in my reserves of chakra just summoning it and felt a another more constant drain when it started to restore my left arm and it began to considerably increase when it began to slowly heal my left palm restoring the crescent moon shape mark on it and the inherited chakra bound to it

After the restoration of my left arm was completed the mouth of the king of hell opened and the tendril like tongues loosen their grasp on me so I got up for my position and exited the mouth while applying amaterasu and Kagutsuchi on myself amaterasu to produce the black flames and Kagutsuchi to control them so that i can burn any bacteria or saliva on me without harming myself from the flames or the intense heat produced by them and to extinguish them afterwards

I then thought it was best to move on to the next item on my extremely short checklist that being to survey the area to find where i am and to look for any potential threats as well if there's any locations of relevance nearby

And the best way to do that would be with summons so I performed the necessary hand signs then bit into my finger and in one Swift movement I place my hand to the ground [summoning jutsu] a small swarm of hawks manifested in this dilapidated Church and they were staring at me intentively

Survey the surroundings and any locations of immediate interest. the flock of hawks having received their mission began flying through the gaps in the broken windows in an orderly fashion
