'Now, this is interesting' i thought while observing my first fight between soul beasts.
it's my 5th day in this forest and it's kind of calming, well except for the part where I have to keep my guard up all the time. the natural environment here is super relaxing, not compared to Plana, but relaxing never less, and while I did find dozens of soul beasts with fire or light attitudes, for some reason no one was over 3000 years. so here I am watching a fight in the middle zone of the forest 'let's see what type they are first' scan.

HOLY**** that means the mama deer is at 30000 years old at least!? and that little one is a treasure in the eyes of any cultivator, no surprise I never sow anything like this. and this also proves that what I know from the book and series isn't everything out there.
as was thinking I got an idea 'wait, maybe I can get her to be my first spirit for my lungs? but first, let's help her out '
I keep observing the fight until the moment when the serpent was attacking and will land a clean hit, I use my ultimate fire and light element to surpass the fire around the serpent, giving a chance for the deer to land a clean hit on the serpent sending it flying right below me so I end up taking the chance and land a dropkick on its head killing it in the proses.
after a while purple energy came out of the serpent forming a soul ring, it is an amazing phenomenon no matter how much I saw it on screen in my past life, nothing beat the real experience.
looking back at the deer I raise my hands and said "I have no ill intention toward you. I know that you can understand me, can I come closer to heal your wound?" the deer look surprised but so I was when she take a step back "what gives you the idea that I will trust humans, last time I checked, you hunt us for Rings, so why to help me for nothing"
well, that will be expected. but since she was ready to speak I have a chance, I hope won't end be eaten "I never said to trust me, I know how it's out there, but anyway, as you probably sensed I don't even have a single soul ring so I don't pose a treat to you." I stop talking to see her reaction but still the same so I continue "the only way I could help you before is my superior attitude of light and fire, so you can keep your guard up and let me heal you as a show of goodwill?"
she keep looking at me for a while and not moving so I add " if you don't want me to heal you it's ok, but at least can you hear a propose of me?" she just glares at me with increasing blood lust, I sighed and sat down "at least give it a minute to think about it, I want a chance to speak, a chance to star my road in different directions, and to do that I refused to hunt for soul ring, instead I am trying to put another method in use but indeed the help of soul beast " I look right in her eyes "so what your call?"

'really bad luck today, not even a year pass, and this is the 8th time someone eyeing my child appeared' i thought while Dodging a fire blast from a serpent in front of me as the battle goes on I got more injuries and wounds, and in the worst timing ever, I sense human watching the fight.
but to my surprise, after observing for a while, in a critical moment he help me surpass the fire element of my enemy leaving him defenseless, I took the chance and hit him directly sending him flying in the human direction.
and although his weak, the volcano serpent has one of the hardest skulls second only to some canine types, but the human penetrated it with one kick with his metallic leg, is that his martial soul?

I just glare at him 'weak? yea but how the hell I will know this isn't a trap? AND GOODWILL?! WHAT IS THIS HUMAN EVEN THINKING!? he looks at me in the eyes, there is no malice in his sky-blue eyes, only determination, and strong will, I calmed down a little after I saw them. as the humane love to say 'the eyes are the soul window' and this phrase is the perfect description to my species as we can judge the being and figure their intent from their eyes and observe the human in front of me.
I may keep myself away from others, but I have many chances to see and observe humans and this one in front of me is probably isn't an adult yet, meaning his child, but the weird part is him being alone here, as the norm out there someone his age will be escorted by some kind of older or senior or something?
after scanning the surroundings and founding nothing I look at the kid.
"what you want kid?" I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.
