Elijah nodded in satisfaction his template had risen from 10% to 14% "I guess fighting opponents is the fastest way to raise my template I've been training for months now It's time to put that in action maybe there are other wild boars or other creatures in this part of the forest" suddenly Elijah look towards his left and smiled.

Elijah ran to his left after a few minutes of running he stumbled upon a forested plain area there he saw a group of animals chasing something it was a pack of wolves chasing after a deer the deer tried to escape but the wolves were cunning as the deer was surrounded.

The wolves attack all at once the cornered deer fought back thrusting and swaying its antlers injuring 2 wolves in the process after some time it finally died a wolf bit the deer's neck while using its claws to grip the deer's skin.

The wolf who took a bite of the deer first was a pup my guess was he was the son of the alpha wolf who ate next he was slightly bigger than the rest of the wolves the next were the beta wolves and so on lastly the omega ate last it took only a few minutes to eat the whole deer.

While the wolves were eating I was observing them I have always been interested in nature if I hadn't died I will choose to be a marine engineer or a forest engineer he was reminiscing about his past life all he did when he was reincarnated in this world was training.

After a few minutes, he chuckled and said "heh I missed those times, but oh well there's no point thinking about it now this is my new life a new start and I'll live this life to the fullest" but of course moving on will take some time after all he can't just forget it instantly instead he will use these feelings as a drive to be strong besides how can he live it to the fullest if he's weak.

While Elijah was reminiscing his past a lone wolf with scars all over its body and a slash across its face the lone wolf was slightly bigger than the alpha wolf, the other wolves noticing the lone wolf got together and surrounded it with a formation looking like a C the pup hid behind the pack and the Alpha walk forward while growling.

Elijah noticed this his eyes were glued to the alpha and the other wolf expecting them to fight a few seconds of growling at each other the lone wolf ran towards the alpha attempting to bite its neck but the alpha dodged it sideways and tried to bite the neck of the lone wolf but it anticipated it as it jumped causing the alpha to missed it.

Once the lone wolf was at the top of the alpha doing what it looks like a nose dive it let out its canine successfully biting its neck the alpha struggled for some time scratching its torso and biting its front leg but the lone wolf did not falter as it still biting the neck of the alpha a few seconds later the alpha started to get weaker it tried to thrash around but the lone wolf is just big and strong for the alpha.

While Elijah was observing the fight the pup who was looking at its father losing to the lone wolf suddenly ran towards it and barked "Woof woof" but what Elijah heard was a cute bark as the pup continued barking the lone wolf looked at it with a fierce gaze saying but to its surprised the pup only shook a bit and continued barking.

After a few minutes of failed thrashing, the alpha got weaker and weaker the lone wolf let go of the alpha and started howling victoriously the pup seeing his father injured went towards it while whimpering the pup went towards the lone wolf barking challenging it looking at this Elijah looked at the pup and said "Idiot" though that's was he said, internally he admired the pup having the courage to challenge who's bigger and stronger than you in order to revenge you're loved once.

Of course, it's still idiotic looking at this situation Elijah wants to observe more before doing anything, The lone wolf looking at the pup had a looked of amusement it went towards the pup and does nothing as it arrogantly looked at the pup, while the pup was barking it suddenly went towards rock and climbed it the lone wolf took notice of this and went near the pup suddenly while walking towards it the pup jumped and bit the nose of the lone wolf while using its claws to scratch the lone wolf.

The pup managed to blind the lone wolf's right eye and it thrash foe the pain of losing its eye the pup let go of the lone wolf's nose as it can't hold on much longer being thrown a couple of feet away, the lone wolf looked at the pup with its left eye in anger it's arrogance caused the lone wolf to lose its eye even a cornered rat will retaliate with all of its might.

"This pup is smart," Elijah said with a smile while sitting at a tree branch, the lone wolf ran towards the pup attempting to kill it suddenly a thud was heard as Elijah went down the tree branch the other wolves looked at Elijah with hostility but they can't do anything as it was a duel on who will become a new alpha, Elijah looked at the lone wolf and took out his spear while his mana run through the spear igniting the tip of the spear on fire.

The lone wolf took a defensive stance and growled at Elijah seconds later it pounced toward Elijah seeing this Elijah dodge it sideways and spun his ankle sideways to gain momentum and slashed the back of the wolf while also burning its fur and skin the lone wolf whimpered but instantly replaced with a growl.

The lone wolf looked at Elijah then changed towards the little pup with a bloodshed eye and ran towards the pup Elijah seeing this "Oh no you don't" threw his spear locking unto the lone wolf hitting its right side of the torso the lone wolf looked at the spear and bit it removing it from his torso and threw it far away from Elijah.

Getting desperate to finish the fight he pounced on Elijah, he clenched his fist and said "Fire dragon fist" punching the wolf away giving the wolf no time to recover he ran towards the lone wolf while raising both of his hands above his shoulder and then making a slashing motion downward "Fire dragon wing attack" Elijah's attack was enough to slice the lone wolf deeply.

The weak and fatally injured lone wolf inhales Its final breath Elijah grabbed his spear and makes sure that the wolf is dead confirming its death Elijah let out a sigh of relief "That was so cool and exciting being in a heat of battle really is the best" after a quick paused he continued "Heh I'm turning into a battle maniac" after a while Elijah noticed the wolves looking at him he almost forgot about it.

He walked towards the pup it was growling but Elijah just ignored it and pet it "Now now is that how you say thank you to the one who saved you?" the pup seem to understand Elijah and backed down and went towards its father who is already dead.

The other wolves were dismayed their new Alpha was killed by a human should he be the new Alpha but is not a wolf but he still carries an aura of dominance Elijah did not notice this aura that the wolf was feeling one wolf stepped forward and started howling submitting to Elijah after a few seconds other wolves also started submitting.

Elijah not wanting to have anything to do with a pack of 12 wolves denied their submission and said "I will be the alpha temporarily until this little one here is old enough to lead" hearing this the other wolves agreed.

Although the wolves understanding Elijah is total bullshit but come on it's a fanfic although wolves are cunning and smart so I'll just use this as a reason hahaha btw I'm surprised that it reached a 100k views I'm so happy hahaha this chapter sees the progression of the mc as you can see he can use his abilities to a certain degree and it will just keep growing the reason I'm not making Elijah the alpha permanently is the cause in the future he will be going into the dungeon so it's like an alliance per se Elijah and the pup will be companions
