Chapter 112 - Aren's Crow Power

Third person POV

 And so, as Batela's army is now closing in towards Halestone Town's border east of the Queva Mountain Range, the Southern Plains' army is now ready for battle. Russell was inside his bus as his bus's engine roared in mild intimidation. The town of Halestone was evacuated just for this battle and fight. Elai's party, however, was being called to the battle by George's request, but the hero party didn't respond at all, and thus, they didn't appear in Halestone Town, much to Nicholas' annoyance.

 But nevertheless, the Southern Plains are now facing Batela's army at the west, mountainous side of town. Batela's army was headed, this time, by Aren Krähenblut, who had a black crow perching on his left arm. He was riding on his finely bred light brown horse as his army stood beside him. Nicholas, on the other hand, was looking at him with seriousness in his eyes.

 "Well, well, look who is here…?" Aren said to Nicholas with a smirk. "That little crowned prince here…"

Nicholas felt annoyed and irritated but managed to keep his dignity up.

Russell and the others, meanwhile, are looking at the crowned prince of Batela with seriousness and readiness.

Russell, who had communicated with Adrian's Mind Manipulation to hear Aren's words, was annoyed and irritated at Aren for insulting Nicholas.

Azalea and the dragon family are ready with their ice magic.

Nathan even summoned 4 more wolves, all Blood Wolves, to his dozen pack of summoned wolves using his Wolf Control ability.

 And then, as the sun was rising at 8 o'clock, the battle had begun. Batela's army charged towards the Southern Plains' army first with their weapons pointing at them. Russell and the army of the Southern Plains charged towards them in response. Both sides then clashed with each other with their various weapons and magic. The dragon family transformed to their Silver Dragon form and rained ice beams of magic at Batela's soldiers and infantry, much to their surprise. Azalea and Nathan did their best in fighting despite lacking proper fighting skills. For Adrian and Cassius, it was pretty challenging for them. John was in the wolf infantry with Nathan's summoned 16 wolves attacking the enemy soldiers indiscriminately. Russell, meanwhile, went on with his driving and ramming skills straight toward Batela's soldier lines, killing them and crushing under his bus's wheels. Aren finally noticed that and was shocked and horrified to see that monstrous machine of death and made of metal. "W-What is that?"

Seeing that Aren's face had turned from confident glee to horrified, Russell became positive with cool confidence and said to him through his bus's built-in speakers. "Haha, take that, dark jerk."

The young Renad then resumed manning his bus to kill as many enemy soldiers as he could.

Aren heard that insult and was angered by it. So, the crowned prince of Batela used his magic to summon a big flock of crows directly at Russell's bus in an attempt to distract him. It did, alongside Aren's own crow, but it wasn't effective because of Russell's bus's durability and that Russell had used his Conductor ability. In doing so, the crows that tried to break into his bus were electrocuted to a crisp, before dropping to the ground like dead flies. This horrified Aren even more. "No…my little dark flying soldiers…"

Russell, meanwhile, was quite confused about how that big flock of crows had gone to his bus all of a sudden but has no time to think and ponder that question and just continued to fight for now.
