"Without you"

"It's the twins 4th birthday today, you have to be there on time " Sean pushed Arthur out of the meeting room.

"You don't have to remind me, I know what day it is, " Arthur said grabbing his coat.

"Do you have gifts prepared for them?" Sean asked.

Arthur stopped and turned around giving Sean a cold stare. Sean moved back with a smile.

"Sorry I asked that since I know better than anyone how much you love them " he laughed.

Arthur had given all his love to his children especially the twins. He never missed any special day in their life and was always extravagant when it came to their gifts. But just like their mother, the twins were so kind and simple that they complained every time. But he never stopped it changed but kept giving them anything and everything he thought they needed.

The driver started the car heading to the mansion. The guests had already arrived Irene and Dorothy were receiving them. Vivian and Harry were handling the other kids while Ralph and Justin prepared the snacks.

Alex was dressing the twins.

Arthur avoided the others and went up to his room. He took a shower and got ready for the party. He could hear the music start.

He stopped and looked up at Rose's portrait. He had hung it up after she disappeared and every day he would look at it and smile getting the strength and courage to take care of their kids and family.

"Another birthday without you " he closed his eyes stopping himself from crying. "The twins have grown up since you left " he chuckled.

"And just like every birthday, Rosy will ask me why she has her mother's name and her brother has your brother's name" he laughed.

They had not given the twins any names. Since Rose wasn't acting okay he had decided to postpone the naming ceremony for them. But she didn't return from her trip so he had to name them. He had smiled when Irene and Alex asked him what he had decided.

"Rose and Justin " he had said.

The room had fallen silent but honouring his decisions they named the twins Rose and Justin just like their mother and twin brother.

But after Rose grew up and found out their names were exactly like her mothers and uncle she had told her father it was stupid. He always smiled when he heard her say that. But she did it every birthday which amused him every time.

He had a knock on the door, " Come in " he said.

Rosy came in holding her brother's hand, " Daddy we came to see you ready " she ran to his arms.

He hugged them both taking them into his arms. Carrying them he placed a kiss on their little foreheads.

"Let's go cut some cake " he walked out of the room with them.

The party officially started when the twins came into the room. The cake was cut and as they enjoyed the presents came in.

Their grandfathers like always outdid themselves. Arthur's father bought them a park so they could play freely while the others gifted them their apartment.

The others laughed at both of them.

The party ended in laughter and wonder.
