Logan followed close behind as we walked down the airstairs to a waiting limo. The driver opened the door for us. Logan let me go in first, and then slipped in beside me.
“Logan, you didn’t have to do this! Wow!” I said, unable to find words adequate enough to convey my thoughts.
He chuckled as he slipped his arm around me, pulling me close. “Well, you said to surprise you.”
“That you did.”
I looked out the windows as we headed down the road, watching palm trees sway in the wind as a gentle breeze blew across the island.
We took several turns and then pulled down another road. Soon, a white sand beach came into view. On the beach suspended in the ocean were tiki huts that appeared to float above the water.
“You have got to be kidding me!” My head snapped up to Logan. “We’re seriously staying here?”
He nodded, laughing as a broad smile spread across his lips. “You said to surprise you.”
