Chapter 13

The forest turned eerie in turmoil. Only the thundering roars of the monsters and the howl of the wolves could be heard.

Ancestor Huang took out some pills from his space ring and ate them. Not even a day had passed and yet his Qi consumption was far too large.

Normally, an Ascension Stage Realm cultivator won't have to worry about running out of Qi because they have a huge reserve. It's not weird for them to use their full strength and fight for a few days without being exhausted unless they use their ultimate techniques.

Ancestor Huang narrowed his eyes as he realized that the mist were sucking his Qi at a slow rate.

Due to it's slow rate and small amount, he didn't realized it. However, when he tried to absorb the surrounding Qi, he found out that his absorbing rate were much slower than usual.

This situations made Ancestor Huang's face cold.

The thick mist shrouded the forest and a faint bloody smell emerged.

"They are here..."

Ancestor Huang muttered to himself.

Rumble!

After he spoke, the ground began shaking. Pairs of purple-eyes appeared within the mist.

Roar!

Ancestor Huang gripped his sword tightly with a grave look. Before, he only met one Ice Purple Demon Wolf and now they came in packs.

And now only that, in just a short time more and more demonic beasts began to appear.

As if welcoming their appearances, the mist became thinner revealing their figures.

"Twin Headed-Rex, Golden-Eyed Phyton, One-Winged Lion, Fiery Ape..."

A surprised look appeared on Ancestor Huang's face as he called the name of each demonic beasts.

All of them could became an overlord outside the forest, and yet they were only mindless beasts inside the Misty Forest. Some of them were even on the 9th-Tier!

However, instead of panicking Ancestor Huang had a joyful look on his face and his mouth was slightly curved into a smile.

Growl!

The One-Winged Lion let out a thunderous roars as if it was provoked by his expression.

The roar was extremely deafening and could cause the listener eardrum's to rupture while also hurting their brain.

"It can actually use soul attack..."

This was the first time in the last eight thousands years he encountered a demonic beast that could use soul attack.

They were quite rare and the Soul Spirit Sect were hunting them like crazy to the brink of extinction, making them as rare as a phoenix's feather.

The soul attack might be dangerous for other people, but as someone who had his soul injured twice and recovered, Ancestor Huang's soul were stronger than most people.

The One-Winged Lion's roar was the signal for the other beasts to charge. After hearing it's roar, their killing intent intensified.

Just like a dam that had been broken, the beasts swarmed Ancestor Huang.

Their vicious aura was frightening.

"Kill!"

Ancestor Huang responded by letting out his bloodlust to the peak. He had nowhere to run. If he turned his back and run, he would definitely get killed. Especially since the One-Winged Lion was known for it's speed.

Ancestor Huang swung his sword's filled with sword intent.

"Moon Shattering Slash!"

A sword energy shot out from his sword. The shockwave made from the sword energy moved so fast and in the blink of an eye, it decapitated the weaker beasts.

Roar!

The Fiery Ape let out a furious roar and flames began to lit up it's crimson-red furs.

It clenched it's fist and threw it at the incoming sword energy.

Bang!

Their attacks collided and the surrounding space were slightly distorted!

The real battle has began!

With his sharp sword in his hand, Ancestor Huang cut off every single demonic beast that charged at him.

Fresh blood started to dye the ground with red and the bloody smell along with the beasts roar slowly spreaded out inside the forest.

Seeing Ancestor Huang was so fierce, the Golden-Eyed Phyton who was lurking around focus it's gaze at him.

It's pair golden eyes began to shine with golden radiance began to shine. It's pupil flickered and shot a bright light aimed at Ancestor Huang.

Noticing the incoming attack from behind, Ancestor Huang picked up a nearby beast's corpse and threw it at the incoming light intending to use it as a shield.

He didn't dare to take it directly. The Golden-Eyed Phyton was known for it's unique ability that could turn everything it gaze into stone.

As the light touched the beast's corpse, it turned into stone at a naked speed.

"How terrifying, if I got it by it even just once, my life would be over..."

Ancestor Huang whispered gravely.

He took a step and dashed at the Golden-Eyed Phyton. The fight would become harder as long as it still alive, so he planned to kill it first before dealing with the other beasts.

He put his Qi into his sword and swung his sword.

Boom!

The formidable Qi shockwave exploded. Realizing that it had been targeted, the Golden-Eyed Phyton went into coiled posture.

Bang!

A huge explosion occured as the sword energy slammed the Golden-Eyed Phyton's body.

Blood gushed out from the Golden-Eyed Phyton's body and it's hard scales were broken.

It was injured gravely but not enough to kill it. It charged suddenly and tried to bite Ancestor Huang in a counterattack.

Ancestor Huang didn't choose to dodge or retreat, he stood still while concentrating his Qi into his sword. And thenー

Just before he got swallowed by the Golden-Eyed Phyton, his sword glittered with pale blue light and thurst it forward.

"Moon Piercing!"

The pale blue light filled with momentum penetrated the Golden-Eyed Phyton's mouth down to it's throat, leaving a huge hole.

After receiving the fatal blow, the Golden-Eyed Phyton fell lifelessly.

That attack just now consumed half of his remaining Qi, so Ancestor Huang took out pills and consumed it.

However, before he could recover two figures appeared behind him.

Two Ice Purple Demon Wolves released a furious growl filled with Cold Qi.

"Not good!"

Ancestor Huang didn't have enough time to dodge and was hit directly.

"Kuh!"

He coughed up blood and ran away as fast as possible.

At the last second, Ancestor Huang barely managed to defend his vital spot. Otherwise, he might have already fallen.

Fresh blood began to gush out from his left hand. He exhaled deeply to restore his chaotic Qi.

Although he managed to survive, the Cold Qi penetrated into his body and made his Qi circulation chaotic.

The two Ice Purple Demon Wolves were about to chase after him, however the One-Winged Lion dashed towards him.

Swoosh!

Due to it's extreme speed, the space along it's way rippled. It must be known that the space inside the Misty Forest was denser than the outside. And yet, it's speed managaed to create a ripple.

It's speed was truly terrifying!

This development was outside Ancestor Huang's expectations. His expression immediately turned ugly.

He was planning to get rid of the Golden-Eyed Phyton as quickly as possible before running away. However, the two Ice Purple Demon Wolves disturbed his plan.

He planned to bait the One-Winged Lion to chase after him so he could kill it next.

Unfortunately, although it was still according to his plan he spent too much energy to kill the Golden-Eyed Phyton and he was injured by the two Purple Ice Demon Wolves making his strength dropped by more than 40%.

Not to mention, the Fiery Ape still had not make a move other than destroying his first attack.

Although it had turned into a mindless beast, it seemed like it still had a high-pride over settling a fight in a duel as it only observed the fight. Rather, it seemed like it had been carved into it's body even when it already lost it's mind.

He didn't dare to let his guard down and get caught off guard like earlier so he put the Fiery Ape into his next plan.

Bang!

The One-Winged Lion compressed the surrounding air and let out a fierce roar.

The compressed air moved at an extremely fast speed destroying everything along it's path.

Sensing the incoming attack, Ancestor Huang gritted his teeth and took a deep breath.

He completely understood that if he was hit by it's attack now, his body would be broken. It would be no different whether he survive or not because it would be his end.

Qi gushed out from his body and his speed exploded.

Boom!

The compressed air hit the surrounding mountains and a huge explosion occured.

Within a second, several other explosions occured devastating the terrains.

Ancestor Huang managed to dodge ir's bombing attack, but his expression darkened. Although he was unscatched, he only had 25% of his Qi left.

Seeing the devastating sight, he was alarmed.

"At this rate, I won't be able to hold up any longer"

Ancestor Huang sighed softly.

"I guess I have to put everything on the line"

With a determined look, he turned his gaze at the center's direction.

"I'm not willing to die in this place before seeing the Heaven Soaring Sect fell into ruin with my own eyes!"

Along with his shout, Ancestor Huang let out his remaining energy to the peak.
