Chapter 61. Simps 2

Aurora came out of the tunnel and lifted the lid. She did not care about the stares she received as she went to the closest man she could see.

"Please help me get my friend from inside. He is in critical condition," she said holding the man's hand. The man looked at her and sneered.

"I have money. I will give you whatever amount you want," she continued but the man just laughed at her.

" Do I seem like I am in need of money?" The man asked still laughing.

Aurora stared at him. He probably did not need any money. He was expensively dressed and he had a ring on his finger made with a yellow essence stone. She wanted to leave and ask for help from another person but the man stopped her. He appeared to be in his late twenties.

"I would not be able to call myself a man if I failed to help out a beauty," the man said and hurriedly dived into the tunnel and brought out the ice statue with a jump.

"Thank you so much, I do not know how to repay you, whatever the price I will pay you," she spoke fast and bowed with every word she said.

"I am not ready to make any demands from a teenager in love. I just ask you to take good care of him." The man said and her cheeks reddened.

She did not realize when but she found herself standing infront of the gate. The man smiled at her but she instantly forgot about his appearance though she could remember his actions. She could care less about that as she rushed to the gateman and asked for his help.

The gatemean quickly alerted the headmaster who in few seconds was standing next to her and her took them and disappeared to the infirmary. It did not take long before the female physician walked in with a mask on her face.

Chaos reigned in her young heart as she watched the physician do her job. They had tried to persuade her to leave but she had insisted and threatened them using her status. Next to her was the headmaster. Rey had left reluctantly and was standing outside the door.

When Aurora had told the headmaster about the situation, he had quickly summoned the physician and when they destroyed the ice, they were shocked beyond belief. If it was just anyone else, they probably would be dead.

The thorns had pierced almost five centimeters inside his skin. His pain tolerance must have been high but what pained all the three in the room was the fact that he had a smile on his lips. Only a fool would smile when he was at deaths door.

Though the blood loss had reduced, he still had lost a good amount due to internal bleeding. The physician quickly got rid of his clothes and lay him on his back. Aurora looked away as the physician put a white towel to cover his bottom.

It took almost thirty minutes to finally remove all the thorns. The reason it took so long was because his body had already started absorbing them. He had tightly stuck on them. His muscles would twitch in pain whenever the thorns were pulled out.

It was like a part of his flesh had been removed. Blood would come out from the wounds and the physician would have to seal the new wound and heal it. There were no scars on his body by the time she had finished removing them.

She had been putting the thorns in a tray and had counted almost 150. The number was huge and it was supposed to leave him dead. Having cleared his back, she turned him to lie on his back and covered him with the towel.

She then started studying his body. A green light glowed from her palm as she studied him. She shook her head every now and then and would pause before shaking her head and continuing. She smiled at times and when she finished, her face was all sour.

"What is it?" The headmaster asked. Aurora knew that something was utterly wrong.

"Aurora you are not ready to hear this. You should probably leave," the physician said. Aurora shook her head.

"If you have something to say just say it. I am the reason he is like this and I won't be at peace if I don't know the extent of damage he did to himself to save me," she said with a straight face. Her answer left no room for persuasion.

The two adults sighed and understood. She probably was never going to forgive herself.

"His elbow was broken. He also has five broken ribs but his bones are rapidly healing. His legs muscle fibres are all torn such that he can't walk yet. Not anytime soon anyway.

"His legs are also broken and his bones are shattered like glass probably due to over exertion. He must have been moving at a speed his muscles could not keep up with which resulted to his bones shattering. I wonder what level of pain tolerance he has and also what control over his body he has.

" The good news is that he is healing but there are worse news. He has amazing control over his body and every cell and muscle can move to his will. I realize that he has awakened 100% of his brain which is surprising at such a young age.

" This is the reason for the worse news. At the moment, its like his brain is secluded. It could be said that he is brain dead but he is not. His brain is fully functional but detached from his body. I can feel no impulse reaching his brain. I can't guarantee that he will wake up anytime soon.

"He also knows that he has done great harm to his body. He used the electric power produced by the brain impulses to help speed up and this in turn has resulted in his current situation. There is no known way we can help him awaken. He is probably awake but he can't move anything in his body.

"Maybe only time will help him recover. I approximate that it will be in two months in the least. He is fully healed but there is no physician who can willingly take a risk to treat his brain. His brain is already complex enough after awakening it fully. Sorry for my incompetence," the physician said and fully healed his body and muscles.

She then bowed and walked out. The headmaster was the most angry.

" What stage is he in?" He asked after failing like for the hundredth time to discern his cultivation level. When he saw the look Aurora gave him, he continued, " I thought you would probably know but its okay if you don't."

Aurora gelt like slapping Alaric at the moment. She could not beleive that even the headmaster had failed to discern his level. He also a victim of violation of privacy.

"He is in the third stage," Aurora replied. The headmaster was at loss. A third stage taking a mission of the fifth stage? He also realized that the mission had had the most casualties in the past six months and it had been taken by those of the fifth and sixth stage who failed.

He was now holding himself back from beating sense into that 100% awaken brain of his. He also was having a hard time believing that he was unable to read his stage. But what more could he expect from the immortal king? Realizing that he would not hold himself for long, he quickly created patient gown for him using array and left.

Aurora looked at him once again and his smile once again angered her. She was pathetic. She was only a burden for him. Her urge to grow strong with him increased as she clenched her fists. She sat on the bed and covered him with a white sheet upto his chest. Somehow, she could tell that his cultivation level had increased slightly.

She had his hand clasped in her as Rey walked in. He seemed to be more angry than worried.

"How is he?" He asked the obvious but it was better than guessing.

"Well, he will awaken after two months in the least..." Aurora spoke with a calm voice and continued to explain what the physician had said.

Rey's face continued to get red with every single word she uttered. He could not hold himself back as Aurora explained the fight scene between Alaric and the hedgehog and how he had stopped his brain from receiving impulses from the rest of his body in the process.

He stood up and held Alaric by the shoulders and started shaking him.

"Yooh idiot, you are dead once you wake up. I am going to make sure to train hard and beat the crap out of you when you wake up," he raged as he let him go to fall on the bed like a doll.

Aurora had failed to understand what was going on and when she did, Alaric was already let go of and was laying on the bed with his smile still on. She gave Rey a deathly glare and he almost fell from the bed he had been sitting on. Rey stood up and went to sit two beds away.

One week passed and there was no change in him. Aurora had realized that they had been lost in the tunnels for two weeks. The psychedelic had actually made it seem like they had been there for a few days but the reality was cruel.

It was now less two months from the end of year party. Her hope was that he would be awake by then. Even though he barely attended them, he had said to her that he would attend this one. She had been looking forward to it but now her dream seemed to be shattering infront of her eyes.

She was now coming from alchemy class headed for the array class. On the way at a corridor she found a guy standing there. It was James. She walked past him but he hurried and walked next to her. She increased her speed but he stopped her by holding her hand as she dropped her book to the ground.

She wriggled her hand out and bent to pick the book but he picked the book before her and gave it to her.

"You should not be rude to me. I am here to give my apology. I hope you can give me forgiveness and stop avoiding me," he said but his words only fueled her anger.

She always appeared fragile infront of Alaric but when alone, she was a fierce and unapproachable . She had also increased the number of meridians opened to three. These guys were almost reaching the third stage but were not stronger than her. She froze his arm that had been reaching to hold hers as she pulled the book from his hands.

She walked away and heard him walking behind her but he stopped abruptly when she froze his legs. She hurried and headed to her class knowing that it would take him almost a minute to free himself. She was angered that he had wasted her time when she was headed for her favourite class.

A trio had been watching from a distance and could only scream in their minds as they shivered.

"Co...o...ld!" They had their lips rounded as they watched her leave the immobilized James struggling. He had a haggard look as he approached them. They laughed at him and patted on his shoulder.

They had actually become friends and were now in a bet. The bet was whoever would make Aurora speak to them would win the bet. James had lost and next was Matthew. If one saw them, they would just call them simps. Simps was no longer a good word to describe them.

Aurora was alone in the class. She usually arrived ten minutes earlier for the class together with Alaric and have a chat. One of her friends had quit array. It had become even more complex. Before the class began, only one person entered the class.

When the teacher arrived, she smiled and it slightly faded when she missed Alaric. She then continued and wrote on the board. Every teacher knew of that student of the third stage in a coma after trying to fight a beast in the fifth stage. It was even a testament that he had survived.

She stared at Aurora and dismissed the class telling her to be left behind.
