Chapter 1.Dawn

Darkness engulfed the whole forest. The trees were all dry black like someone sucked all the life from them. It was then that vultures and crows all could be seen flying headed to one direction. The crickets chirped and one could feel something crawl on their back. Fear. A branch fell from a tree causing a commotion as birds flew away from the direction the crows were heading. Looking at the sky, dark clouds were forming.

The moon which shone brightly was suddenly engulfed and darkness reigned in the woods. Without a slight warning thunder clapped and then lightning. It was very strange that sound went faster then lightning. The mountain shook at the rumbling of the thunder and the whole sky was lit by the red lightning. The second thunder sounded and one could bet that the skies surely dropped. Silver lightning lit the sky in a menacing form of a lightning god clad in blue though the features were not completely visible. Then all was silent as the third thunder sounded.

In a distance was a shabby house. It was grass thatched and had some openings on the roof probably due to the strong winds. A group of ten individuals could be seen outside the house. Of all the people, one of them was all fidgety. He cracked his knuckles now and then pacing from side to side. His long flowing white hair reached his back. He was obviously not the least bothered by the events taking place in the skies. He tightened his eyelids as he burried his face in his palms. He sure was cursing against the heavens. He then opened his emerald eyes after calming himself. He stood still and heaved. His face showing clear worry. That was the second thing you would note after his handsome face.

Aside from him there were seven men who did not lose out too much from him in terms of beauty. So were the ladies. They were abit calmer than the man but their faces showed agitation. But something seemed to fuel their worries. The pained screams coming from inside the house. Then the man started pacing again as the silver lightning struck.

There was no door in the house and the entrance had lose frames. It was clear that they just chose this location since they were on a journey gauging from the beast birds carrying some load. The floor was littered with grass and the weathered and broken wooden foor. Further inside not a single furniture. The silver lightning lit the room and it gave a chilling aura. At the far end of this room were three ladies who were continuously in a rush. Each having a towel on their shoulders. They seemed to be in more panic 3A than the man outside. One of them had blue hair and the other had purple hair. A lady carrying a basin had red hair. These were ultimate beauties. The lady with blue hair continuously wrung her towel and wiping the sweat on her face using her biceps.

The screams just continued to get louder with every passing second. On a white sheet lay a lady. The source of the screams. She was biting on a towel that was definitely not helping lower the pitch. Her black hair was a mess with strand on her face. The sweat on her forehead was the ultimate proof of her labour. Her closed eyelids twitching now and then. The rumbling thunder could at the least bother them.

"Push again please, the child is about to come," the blue haired beauty spoke. The lady who was pushing groaned as all her muscles clenched giving her all to push. The other ladies kept wiping the sweat on her body using the towels. It was then that she gave a final push.

At the same time an agitated roar came from the sky. Something not meant to ever happen was happenning. The laws were being altered in front of the heavens. A new existence was being birthed and the heavens could not help but be agitated. The clouds in the sky darkened as the fourth lightning struck the ground. The heaven just needed one more push and the laws would be altered. If the skies had been dark, now they were ominously dark as thunder rumbled. This time waves in the far oceans appeared and also an earthquake. The lightning appeared to be purple and struck directly inside the house striking the lady in labour.

"No!" Every existence the room had their mouths rounded. It could not happen just when the birth process was about to completed. Even the men outside felt their hearts shake. They knew this was the price they were paying for breaking the laws of the universe. But the white haired man could not take it standing. He roared at the skies but he was silenced by the cries coming from inside the house. The pained moans had ceased and silent sobs remained.

Inside the house, the child was hurriedly wrapped in warm white sheets and the the mother was given a new gown to put on. The cries of the newborn dissipated the dark eerie feeling and calm reigned. The skies cleared and the moon shone again. The light penetrating through the unroofed parts of the house. It was clear now. The mother lay weakly on the floor but with every passing second one could tell she regaining her strength. The blue haired beauty was the one holding the child. Then she let the word come from her mouth.

"Its a boy," she said calmly with a smile on her delicate features.

The child stopped crying and the giggles filled the room as the lady rubbed his cheeks using he index finger. It was then the men outside came in followed by the ladies. The white haired man leading the way. He looked at his frail wife who had collapsed but one could not mistaken the pure smile on her face. He went the blue haired beauty and she handed him his son. The child was yet to open his eyes. But there was no mistaking his jet black hair which surpased his mothers. The boy opened his eyes which were emerald just as his. As the two emerald pairs met something inconceivable was happening.

"They did it! They definitely did it!" Someone was running rampant with his words. He was dressed in royal and the crown of diamond on his head. He was definitely a king. They were in the throne room and there were several people in his midst all having the same inconceivable aura as his. They all lowered their head as his anger rose. "Who do they take me for, I never even approved for their marriage and here they are. Look! Look at that! Look at the heavenly tablet! Look, its broken! Look! What should I do? Should I just go down and kill them all? Tell me what should I do to them? Tell me!" The people in the room felt choked. They never saw the king this angry before. But it was unacceptable. Their long lost prince who ran away with their enemy clan maiden had done something they could not telorate.

They had spent years looking for him but now maybe they would find him. But that was not the worst case. The thing is they could not fathom just what the consequences of his action would be. Breaking the rules of the heavens was not acceptable even for their king.

"Your sovereignty," one man started "its better you note that we as the immortal clan cannot kill our only prince. Its in our best interest that we bring him back and sentence him to a thirty years of seclusion a and self reflection." The speaker was definitely one of the crown prince's supporters. He was also close to their king. Some looked at him and nodded while other showed disgust and dissatisfaction. Then his rival spoke.

" Your sovereignty, we as the higher existence can never allow a being incompatible with the heavens to exist. Its up to you as the immortal king to ensure that the laws of the universe are upheld. Its in our best interest that we kill the newborn and restore balance." No one could refute these words. Not even the king. The man looked away with a sly glint in his eyes. The king nodded and did not wait for further negotiation.

" You both provided an important point. We will bring back our prince and sentence his wife to live as a maid in the kitchen. Am sending a decree that the child must die!"

The king said and stomped his feet causing cracks on the marble floor. Everyone nodded and the generals were dispatched. Everyone headed towards an open field where an intricate array was formed. It was a teleportation array. The man who insisted on the murder of the child inserted the coordinates and sent them all off.

As if in cue, another clan was also dispatching their army. The reason was almost the same. To kill their maiden who disrupted their clan and her child. They reached the location of the mountain the same time. Working in cue like allies and not the enemies they were since the beginning of time. They matched towards the house. A group of about thirty individuals in total.

Inside the house.

" How did they find us. We surely left no clue," the red haired beauty spoke. The other looked at her like she was a fool. No one bothered to reply to her. Who in the entirety of all existence did not see what happened. They just shook their heads as they went to their beast to ready them for departure. The father and mother pair stood together, the mother holding the baby in her arms. She had gained some strength and colour to her once pale features. Her grey eyes shining with anticipation and slight battle intent. Her husband smiled at her and held her by the waist leading them outside the house. The beast were ready. The man removed a treasure from his storage ring and crushed it as they vanished from the world. They mounted the beast and a whirlpool appeared in the air as they dove inside it. With that they all disappeared.

The army of about thirty appeared in the house and found it empty. The generals cursed as they studied the room. There was not even a single evidence that about five minutes before there were people inside.

"So you wanna play hard to get, huh?" one general scoffed. "Let's do it the hard way then."

The truth was that if they really had wanted to find them they had a method but it was crude. It involved tracking the blood. Though the prince could hide his presence, he could not hide his blood essence. The only problem was the it was going to take almost five years to find them in the least. That was why they had not bothered but since it was official that they were wanted, the price for failure was nothing but death. And at the moment no one wanted to get into the wrong books of the immortal king. The method to use involved tracking all immortal essence in the worlds. The general removed a shining orb and it lit.

"Let's see how far you can run." The general said with a sinister glint in his eyes.
