"I love you," Anna confessed, but Derek brought out divorce papers instead. "The marriage is over," Derek muttered and dropped the papers on the bed. He turned to walk out, but Anna held his clothes and threw him a questioning look. "Why?" She asked with a shaky voice. "We are worlds apart. We are not from the same world," Derek said, looking into her eyes unblinkingly. "What do you mean?" "I am a demon," He confessed and Anna let go of his clothes. What will her next action be? Scared Of Him

(Derek)

After teaching Chloe some lessons, I jogged to the school bay to look for Anna but she wasn't there. The room still lingered of her scent and couldn't resist the urge to sniff the bed sheet. I don't know how the little girl managed to charm me. I lose control whenever her scent wavers in my nose.

With the help of my instinct, I found out where she was and headed there without wasting another second. The school's cafeteria was filled with students. I don't remember walking in here ever since I stepped into the school. The tables and chairs were arranged in rolls.

I could feel her staring at me when I announced our wedding. She wasn't informed and I was expecting that look from her. I dropped the wireless microphone and strode out immediately. The power of her scent that was hovering in my nose was getting strong and was sending a rush of sensual pleasure all over my body. If I waited any longer, I might do the unthinkable.

I went to the swimming arena and crouched on one of the loungers. My eyes were fixed on the still blue water. Glancing at the deep pool brought back the memories. The memory of our first encounter and I couldn't help laughing, "What a great way to meet for the first time," I muttered inwardly, grinning like a young boy who just found love. Oh! I forgot I might be in the same shoe as the boy.

(Anna)

I hurried out of the cafeteria to follow Derek but it was as if he teleported as he stepped out of the cafeteria because a glimpse of him can't be seen. I scrutinized the surroundings with my silver, sharp eyes but I didn't see anyone who looked like him. I gave up on searching and turned, wanting to walk away but I bumped into someone. I staggered and was almost falling but someone held my hand, preventing me from hitting my butt on the hard floor that was made of Italian tiles.

"Oops! Sorry, I wasn't watching," A small voice apologized, I quickly stood properly and withdrew my hand from hers.

A girl of my age was standing in front of me. She has long, silver ringlet hair. That was so rare. This is my first time seeing someone with silver hair. Her eyes shape was close-set, making her look like a sea goddess with her sea blue eyeballs. As a girl like her, I envied her beauty. Without being told, I am sure she was one of the university's beauty queens.

"It's okay," I said, kneading my lap, embarrassingly. I can't believe I am having rosy cheeks because of a girl like me.

"I am Ariana Burns, also a student of Montessori University," She introduced, stretching a hand forward for a shake. I hoisted my brows, hesitating to shake her hands but I did anyways.

"Anna Green, a scholarship student," I said and she gasped in surprise.

"The popular lifesaver?" She asked and I nodded, lowering my head while chuckling embarrassingly. Why did my female crush have to call me that of all names? Chloe and her minions had already made me resent the nickname. I scowled inwardly thinking about them. How dare Chloe came to interrupt my thought when it is about my crush?

"You are beautiful," I let out absently, I guess I couldn't keep it to myself any longer. I placed my hands on my mouth to stop the words that were already out. She looked at me and chuckled at my behavior.

"You are cute yunno," She said, having the cutest smile on her face. It was also contagious cos I couldn't help smiling back at her. I totally forgot about Derek.

Fortunately, we are studying the same course and also at the same level. I guess I haven't noticed her because of my dilemma with Derek. We went to classes together for the day and only parted when it was time for everyone to leave the school. Strangely, I felt at peace talking to Ariana and I don't know when I started narrating my experience with Derek.

It made her laugh and for some reason, she kept saying it was cute and the best way to meet one's soulmate.

The sun had already gone down by the time I got to the bus station. I boarded the bus and stopped at the nearest bus stop to our street.

I got to the entrance of our house and was about to pull off my green sneakers when I heard a familiar voice coming from our room. Yes, it wasn't the voice of my parents but...

I hurriedly removed my shoes and whisked inside. And there he was, Derek was sitting comfortably on the floor with my parents. They curled their legs around each other like a typical Korean and a table was in the center. I heaved and watched as they discussed happily. It was unbelievable.

"Mom! Dad!" I called out, driving them out of their discussion mood. They finally realized someone else is with them in the room after I have waited for some minutes. They raised their heads and smiled at me. It sent an irritating shiver over my body. They all look scary to me.

"What the hell is he doing here? Oh! No! Mister Derek Hunter. What are you doing here? This place doesn't look like your fancy manor," I said rudely, if looks kill. I was sure Derek would have been long gone by now.

"Hmm... I came to have private time with my in-laws and we need to talk about the wedding yunno," He replied, snickering. To be honest, he has a beautiful smile and he looked intriguing with it. "What! Did I just say that? No way! " I pinched myself to get myself together, shook my head, and stared at him irritably. He is nothing but a devil. He is nothing to me. I reminded myself.

"Mom, ask him to scram now or I will leave the house for him," I threatened, finding it hard to believe he was now welcome in our home. He might have won my parents over with money but not me. My mother rose from her seat, moved closer to me, and put one of her hands on my shoulder. She was wearing her coaxing smile.

"Anna, let him be. He is a good....," Mom tried to call him a good guy but I stopped him. I am not a toddler and I know the qualities of a good person. A good guy won't try to harm others. A good guy won't try to kill a girl who loves him.

"Mom, please. Don't preach that myth to me. We all know how cruel he is. Derek Hunter, leave here now," I shouted, the hair on my skin was standing because of my anger.

The calmness on his face changed into the one I have always seen. Dangerous and I smirked inwardly. That's my goal. To get him angry so that my parents can see he is not a good man. Perhaps, they can find a way to call off the wedding. He stood up, emitting a threatening aura. Every step he took toward me released a dominant demeanor from him.

"Prepare to meet my parents tomorrow. A car will come and pick you and your parents tomorrow," He muttered, loud enough for me to hear. He shoved his head closer to my ear and whispered, "You know me well enough right? You know what it will cost you and your family if you disobey me,"

A terrifying sensation spread all over my body and I couldn't help but gulp at the warning in his tone. He stroked my hair and smiled before exiting the room. My legs became weak and I plunged to the floor, watching as he zoomed into the darkness with his blue Benz.

"I don't think I want to get married to him anymore,"
