#02 S grade skill

The tiny creatures seemed to glow. lighting up the darkness around them. more creatures where shown behind the first one that looked a bit different. All of them turned and looked at me, Goosebumps where felt all over my body.

The reason for this reaction was because they all showed a wicked smile and started running after me.

Then a message appeared in from of me.

[ 1st test has started ].

[survive the "little angels"].

[time limit: 2hours]

[rewards: 100 points + skill]

The little angels started running towards me and I started to get up off the ground. One of the little angels clung on to my hand. I swung my hand to get it of me.

Chump.

I looked at my hand while running and saw that the tiny angel wasn't there anymore. I kept looking at my hand as sweat started to fall of my head and I screamed in pain.

"Ahhh"

I screamed while covering my pinky finger that wasn't there no more. I turned around and saw the little angel hugging my finger giving a giant smile, as other angels ran past him, chasing me. Despite having no eyes the angel was staring at me with its wicked smile.

"Bastard I'll fucking kill you".

Soon after the little angels caught up to me and where climbing cars, as too get too me as fast as possible. I decided to run faster and slowly the angels disappeared from behind me.

I kept holding my hand in pain just to find my finger growing back slowly, as if time itself was rewinding.

The bones where being shaped again, while blood reverted back to its place and then finally the skin covered it all. Leaving nothing but a scar.

I kept running just to be safe and got out of the neighbor hood. I finally reached an area where people where but it was the middle of the night and everywhere I turned there was fire, broken cars and collapsed buildings. Than I saw another rock shaped star in the distance. (Rock——> star).

Soon after I saw a group of people running my way.

They seemed to be running out of the opposite direction of the star I just saw.

"Hey kid!"

The old man running towards me was waving his hand in the air as he called out to me in desperation. The old man looked around his late 20s and was wearing a suit.

"Start running".

As soon as I heard the words of the other 3 behind him I started to run. The old man and the others soon caught up to me. It seemed there were 2 guys and a girl with him. The old man turned around to me and said.

"Jesus kid you ran with out hesitation couldn't you at least wait". he laughed he laughed while speaking to me.

"Like hell I was going to wait, what y'all running from".

"Huh? You ran without knowing what we're running from? Just look behind us".

I turned my head at his word and saw the little angels chasing us. My face slowly stiffened at the sight. More than hundreds of thousands little angels where after us.

"Hey old man follow me this way".

"What you have a plan?".

"Sort of.."

"You don't sound to sure but lead the way kid"

I ran in front of the group and they followed me towards a a middle school I was running too.

"This way". I shouted at the group.

I led them behind the school and pointed at a ladder leading towards the roof.

"Hurry! we don't have time they're catching up"

The old man nodded at me and helped the group climb up the ladder. I soon followed and we reached the rooftop of the school. I saw the little angels finally get to the latter and where seen climbing up. I shook the ladder and pulled it up so they wouldn't have a way to get up.

"Nice one kid, you saved our lives".

I looked at him and the old man extend his hands towards me.

"Names Jax. How about you kid?".

….

"Almana".

The old man laughed as I said my name. "Weird name kid but I like the sound of it".

"By the way the people behind you…".

"Oh that's right let me introduce you".

The people behind old man jax where out of breath. The ones who caught my eye where the two kids around my age. One was a girl and the other was a boy.

Jax started to speak and pointed at a man behind him that seemed around his age. "This is my coworker, we don't know each other's but the circumstances put us here".

"Mhm".

"And this two I found while running away. They seem to be brother and sister. The guy over there said he was 18 and has a bad temper from what Ive seen. As for his name I haven't asked. Hahaha"

"The hell you said".

The 18yr old shouted at the old man while glaring at him. He then continued to grab the old man by his collar. The old man didn't resist and put his hands up as he surrendered with a childish smile.

This old man has a childish personality. Reminds me of dad…. They would probably get along if they met.

"H-hey kid, did I say something wrong whats whit the look?".

"Huh nothing old man."

the girl sitting down trying to catch her breath got up and walked towards her brother pulling the shirt of old man Jax.

"Ow ow ow".

The sister grabbed her older brothers ear and shouted. "Hey have some respect for the man that saved us. If it wasn't for him we would've still been hiding under that car and later on killed by the little angels!"

"O-okay sis, I get it let my ear go".

she let got of her brother and clicked her tongue, then started walking towards me. Her attitude caught me by surprise but it looked like she was well mannered despite her sharp mouth.

"Hey I'm Eri, nice to meet ya. And this here is my older brother Liam he has a bad temper but he ain't that bad".

I heard her introduction and couldn't help but give a small laugh.

"T-the hell you laughing at huh?"

Even though she said her brother had a bad temper it seem like she had it too, but it was cute in a way since she was flustered and was blushing.

Her older brother soon reached out to me and was rubbing his head while staring at me.

Tsk.

The hell is this bastard problem. I wanted to ask.

"I'm Liam, remember the name".

I wanted to laugh my brains out as he walked alway while giving a smile. It looked like he tried to leave a 'cool' impression on me but he looked so stupid.

"Nice to meet you all. I'm Almana and for some reasons I ended up here with you all".

we all greeted each other and started talking about the situation we were in, I decided to take mental notes.

From what I've heard there seemed to be stars that had fallen all over the world.

Old man Jax said he was watching the news and Italy had been hit by an attack along with other countries and small cities, but as he continued he said that the news reporter started to film the star that had already hit the ground and monster started pouring out of it.

"Wait so what you're saying is that this is happening all over the world and different kind of monsters are coming out of this stars?" .

we all heard Eri's desperate tone and turned towards old man Jax.

"It seems so… and up from this roof it seems like there are 7 stars in the area, so god knows what kinda evil we're facing.."

We all gulped at the same time and then where all interrupted by a message.

[first test has been completed. Rewards are being prepared in the meantime].

"Btw do y'all see that?".

Liam was the first one to answer me. "I see a holographic message in front of me. Wait can y'all see it too?"

"I can see it…" Eri replied and soon after old man Jax and his coworker replied with the same answer.

"It looks like we can all see our own but not others, right?".

"It seems so kidd-".

old man Jax word we where once again interrupted by the message.

"Did everybody get there reward?"

We all turned and looked at Liam and nodded

"What y'all get?"

Old man Jax responded first. "I got 100 coins with the skill Zeus's thunder"

What the hell is with that overpowered skill, no matter how I thought about it there no way a god's ability would be weak.

"By the way, all the skills that I had as an option where s grade, according to the games I played S grade was really powerful". Eri continued speaking and said.

"In the games I play they have S grade and higher along with A, B, C,D and F grade. S grade was the highest while F grade was the lowest."

I easily caught on to what she was saying since I read a lot of fantasy novels.

"So it seems everyone got an s grade skill."

Liam heard what I said and started to speaking. "my S grade skill is 'giants strength'. It said that my strength would significantly change and will be able to destroy the biggest of mountains. I bet I have the strongest skill"

Which he did since it was about strength.

Liam looked at all of us with a triumphed face like he won a competition.

"My s grade skill is 'Hermes feet' the description said that I would be light as a feather and faster than the speed of light" Eri looked at her brother like she got a better skill.

Another Greek god ability how come they all get something overpowered. I looked the group and they were all waiting for my answer.

I sighted. "I got crazy combat"

"Pfft what the hell is that" Liam laughed and his sister smacked his head while old man Jax tried to stop her.

"What ever, all y'all need to now is that I have the best combat skills out of all of us".

we all shared are skills and description of them we decided to form a small party and assigned a roll to each of us. Eri and me at the front of the line, Liam as our shield and Jax as our support.

"Okay so there are monster's out there so watch y'all's back and stick to your positions".

We all nodded at old man Jax words and soon after a bright light covered are whole bodies.

"What's happening?"

"Just stay calm Liam!"

Eri grabbed on to her brother's collar to reassure him, than she grabbed me. Jax saw us an ran towards us and place his hand on my back.

"What ever is happening will go trough it together"

Old man Jax looked at me with a rueful expression but he had determined eyes. He then opened his mouth towards me and said.

"Aint that right kiddo?"

I looked back at him with serene's eyes.

"Yea I guess you're right".

The bright light soon enveloped all of us and we disappeared from the top of the rooftop along with the sound 'shlink'.
