Travis stopped at the top of the stairs, somehow unable to go any further thanks to the arguing that only seems to make things worse. Elias got to the room door, concerned about all of it, sure they would get into a punching match over this and yet not moving beyond that. It might not come to blows. They were all always so… not like this, never like this.
“Would it have brought them out of the earth or made them descend from the sky? It wouldn’t have done anything! It will still be the same and I remember without needing to be reminded in a gathering. If I could go back, I’d still not go for it.” Tom huffed at that. “You disrespect us with your accusations, right as they may be and we’re supposed to come here and pet you until you give in and come home?”
“I didn’t ask you to do anything! You’re the ones who did all of this. Why are you trying to blame me for it?”
