Currently in an abandoned castle near the Russy Federation border

Tanya von Degurechaff was having a very bad week, first she had an argument with Being X, then she gathered all her men, the damned apostle hasn't shown up yet and to top it off we've lost contact with headquarters, is it a coincidence? I don't believe in coincidences so we have to be as attentive as possible.

"We still haven't been able to contact anyone, it's been days without any information from anywhere" says Viktoriya.

We are currently in a half-destroyed castle with my entire battalion of wizards, we were sent on a reconnaissance mission near Russy Federation territory, however we found nothing and we have no orders to return unless it is an emergency.

The war between the empire and the Russy Federation is at its height, so it is quite strange that we did not find any kind of enemy patrol or troop mobilization, we only found a young man in pajamas delusional, we locked him in one of the dungeons meanwhile, he may or may not be a spy. I don't plan to risk it.

None of this makes sense, this has to be the work of Being X.

"Send two men to go to the closest city in the empire and try to contact the headquarters, the rest to establish defensive positions" I tell Viktoriya to mobilize the men.

The night came quickly and there is no sign of any enemy or any ally, the men who were sent to the nearest city have not returned.

"Commander there is movement a few kilometers ahead!" Matheus reports quickly.

"Everyone assume your combat positions until you identify these people" Tanya gives orders to the entire battalion.

After analyzing these people well, they seem to be a mixture of soldiers from the Russy Federation together… Along with soldiers from the empire!

What the hell is going on? Are they traitors? Has a ceasefire been reached? Numerous thoughts ran through Tanya's mind as he calculated different scenarios.

"Prepare to open fire at any moment" Tanya says as she grabs her rifle and starts to fly above the castle while her men are ready to attack at any moment.

"Unknown unit identify yourself immediately or we'll open fire" Tanya yells using magic to enhance her voice.

The other side's movement stopped just as a white flag appeared in the distance.

"Are you Commander Tanya von Degurechaff?" asks one of the soldiers in uniform of the empire recognizing me.

"Why are the soldiers of the empire with the soldiers of the Russy Federation?" This question makes many of these soldiers look at her strangely.

"Commander, the war ended 5 days ago" At this, my eyes widen in shock. Did the war end and we didn't find out? Then why? What has happened?

"Then another war started" Those words stop me in my tracks. Another war? This doesn't make sense I need more information.

"Explain yourself soldier this very moment before my troops open fire on suspicion of treason." Remembering the prisoner we have in the dungeons.

"Wait, wait we have proof" The soldier says quickly taking a newspaper out of his backpack and throwing it at my position, I still find myself pointing at them from the air while Viktoriya takes the newspaper and starts reading it aloud.

"According to this all nations have ceased all hostilities and joined forces against an even greater threat. It is not specified but all the countries have ordered all their troops to leave the front lines to defend their main cities" Viktoriya says a little stunned.

"That was 4 days ago" The soldier sighs with his head bowed "No intelligence report is precise where it started but since then a new enemy force has been attacking cities and capitals in all countries of the world, an alliance of mutual support was forged to fight this strange enemy" Says the soldier now taking out a map and showing it.

"We lost contact with everyone else 2 days ago, last we heard they were under enemy siege." The soldier then looked more nervous "All the enemies look alike... they're shaped like a little boy with blonde hair, it's an army of blonde-haired children, it's pretty scary." Said the poor soldier trembling now.

"Is it just you guys? Or are there more people with you?" Tanya stops aiming, this changes the whole situation, this is undoubtedly the work of Being X, she is sure enough of it.

"It's just us, we are in total about 7 soldiers from the empire and about 13 from the Russy Federation, yesterday we managed to evade an enemy patrol and we managed to hide in a cave, so we will be safe for..." The soldier is shot in the head and falls to the ground.

Above us were 3 figures flying, all of them resembled each other with the same appearance, at first glance they would be considered a male version of Tanya dressed in military clothes and with rifles on their shoulders. The only way to tell them apart was by the number printed on their uniforms a little below their shoulders.

"Nice shot number 3~ straight to the head" Says a childish voice coming from one of the figures that is floating above us. They don't appear to be wearing flight gear.

"Thank you number 1, so the information from those two flying wizards was true" Another one of them says with a smile on his face.

"Don't get distracted guys Alan is in the dungeons of that castle, you know what to do number one and number 3" Says another of the figures.

"Hai Hai" They both respond giving military salutes with a smile on their faces. Then with an incredible show of speed they launch themselves at us.

A huge battle ensued as both sides started firing mercilessly.

I quickly aim and shoot at the figures that are quickly approaching our positions, they are using magic to protect themselves from the large amount of fire they are receiving, while both of them have smiles on their faces as they get closer and keep shooting.

I can see the surroundings and some of my men are hit by the bullets of those demons while the situation is much more complicated for the troops on the ground, they are easily bombarded, the fire lights up the surroundings of the castle.

"Commander we are taking casualties" Viktoriya yells at me from a distance, I click my tongue and I can't help but curse Being X.

"Concentrate fire on a single target, fire with everything!" I yell as I motion for the one with the number 3 stamped on his arm to be shot.

With the amount of fire his shield is failing giving me the opportunity to land the final blow, I fly at full speed towards him.

"This is fun!" shout number 1

"Die!" I yell, pulling the trigger just as we're both in front of each other. My magic-enhanced volley of bullets hits the target, and I watch with satisfaction as the number 3 falls.

"Huh… avenge my death… number 1" Number 3 says as he falls and hits the ground without moving again.

"Noooo number 3!" Yells number 1 with fake acting after bursting out laughing "How dramatic hahaha" At this he changes course and flies directly at me, ignoring all other shots. He finds himself increasing his speed abnormally and getting faster and faster.

Given this, I rise at full speed so that it continues to chase me and does not attack my compatriots who already have too many casualties.

"You're just a man in a girl's body playing war," he tells me when he's close enough, we're flying high now.

At these words my whole body trembles with rage, this person knew what I had been... this person must know Ser X. He is the damned apostle.

"I'll be waiting for you little one" He says as he deactivates his shield and opens his arms theatrically. Receiving the impact of the magic propelled shot, which causes a huge explosion in the sky lighting up everything miles away.

I quickly descend as I stop a few meters from Viktoriya "Give me a casualty report" I can't hide my disgust.

"Half of the company has fallen in action or is seriously injured commander" Viktoriya says looking away from me. "Matheus has fallen, he died protecting me with his body from an explosion. What are the orders?" Viktoriya asks.

"There's still one enemy left, keep your eyes peeled!" There were 3 enemies and two of them have been eliminated.

I feel a chill as I quickly turn around when I see a bright light heading towards our position.

"Everyone under cov…" I scream when I'm interrupted and everything goes black.

In another dimension where the gods were betting, a loud laugh was heard from Hitogami upon seeing the scene, meanwhile Being X had a look like when you take a toy from a small child.

"The little bastard did it on purpose" Says Being X with a wrinkled face.

"Don't worry little Tanya is not dead...yet...How about we give her a present?" Oculus chimes in with a sly smile. "After all Gil is making a little mess in that world of yours"

"It's not a bad idea, he's very conceited and that will come back to bite his ass" Says Being X while the gods continue to watch the self-proclaimed emperor of the world Gil on the screens.
