Danger Proximity

I smiled and wished farewell to a customer while wiping down a table just before the owner walks over towards me. He places a hand on my shoulder and smiled before informing me that it was the end of my shift and that I was free to head home.

I nodded and wondered where all the time had gone as I recalled after finishing the meal Dylan had made for me, I only had several minutes left to spare from the call with Cain. After which I clocked back into work just to pass by Dylan who dropped a small boxed drink into the palms of my hand before heading back into the kitchen.

And then I was relegated to cleaning up spillage, wiping down tables, refilling the sugar and creamer stations, etcetera. I didn't even notice time had flew by and it was already evening.

"In that case, I'll take my leave then." I smiled and headed for the employee's changing room when I found Dylan already finished changing inside.
