I, Who Will Shine More Than Anyone

I transmigrate into my favorite novel, where I need to die for my uncle's greed. Why I will sacrifice myself? No one deserve my sacrifice. So I thought, I won't die for this kind of trashy family. I will shine more than anyone in this world. Then no one will be able to kill me for their greed.

An old library

I took Theo's hand and came out of the hotel. Then I walked to the road the waiter told me. There I saw the library he mentioned. But my heart doesn't want to go there. There is something wrong on this road. I felt an inescapable feeling. I stopped in front of the library. But I don't want to go in.

Theo looked at me and asked, "Brother, why are we standing here? Won't we go in?"

Hearing his voice, I looked at him and said, "No, let's walk for a bit."

"It's good. We can see some new things."

He was happy that we would walk to see things. I just smiled. I think he doesn't like to read books.

"Don't you like to read books?"

I asked. We were walking on the little road while passing by the shops and I was looking if I find something.

Hearing me, Theo looked down on the road and touched his ear. I saw he became embarrassed.

"So our Theo doesn't like to read books. Then what does he like?"

I asked with a soft gentle voice while smiling at him.

"I like a sword."

He smiled brightly while answering me.

"You like swords. Then if you read more books I will give you a good sword that will always protect you."

I said to him.

"Really?"

He asked me while being surprised with curious eyes.

"Yes. I'm not too fond of lying. So I will give you a sword."

I said seriously.

He nodded and answered me, "I will be a good boy and read more books. Also, I won't lie to you."

He also said seriously.

I muffled his hair with my hand and laughed.

"Also, even if you make friends, you have to be cautious. Because human greed has no bounds. Remember that."

I said seriously again.

"I will remember your teaching, brother."

He said with bright eyes.

I nodded and walked with him while passing the roads I looked at the shops. Suddenly a little shop came to my eyes. The little shop's name was "Bibliory."

It was written in ancient words. Even though the name wasn't close to the library, I felt it was a library. So I entered the shops while opening the door. An old man was reclining in the chair while closing his eyes. When I entered the shops, the old man looked at me and said,

"You can read books but can't take them or buy them. The books from my shop aren't for sale. Every hour will be one silver coin."

Hearing his relaxed tone I was surprised. The man didn't open his eyes but told everything that he wanted.

I nodded my head toward him and walked inside with Theo. Every book here is old. The place was spacious. It was cleaned and anyone can see how much these books are cherished. Each shelf has a name written in ancient words on its upper side.

I think if I hadn't found the cave at that time, I wouldn't have been able to read one word of these ancient words. Luckily my mother did a good job. I thought while being happy in my heart and also thanked my mother for being so thoughtful. Even though I only read an ancient Lexicon.

At first, I didn't want to read because I read all the books that were on the shelf she kept. But when I thought that some old book could be like this. If I enter the academy and I can't answer the teacher if they ask me in this language then wouldn't it be more embarrassing?

It will be a shame for me who was a researcher in her past life. So I gritted my teeth and with much effort, I learned the ancient language from the Lexicon. After learning the language, the magic book and formula I read became much easier to understand. My hard work bears fruit.

Now when I saw the name "Bibliory" in written ancient language, I thought that it would be a library. So when I entered my suspicion was right. It was an old library. After entering the library, my heart became peaceful. I think it is fate that took me here. If not then why would I feel that inescapable feeling in front of that library?

While thinking and walking I stopped in front of a shelf. Its upperside was written "History" in an ancient word.

This is the thing that I need to read. If it is written in ancient language then these are the things I need to read.

Before I could touch a book, Theo took a book and tried to open it. But the book didn't open.

He looked at me and asked, "Brother, why this book isn't open? If it is not open then I won't be able to read and get the sword."

He was pouting his face cutely. I touched his cheek and smiled.

Hearing Theo's voice, another voice came towards us.

"Why are you calling a girl, brother?"

Both of our bodies stiffened. How did he know that I am a girl? I was stunned. I think he is more powerful than I thought. Theo looked at me nervously. He was asking "Is he an enemy?"

I said in my eyes, "Let's see first."

He nodded.

"Both of you are talking in the eyes. Can't you answer an old man's question?"

The voice felt like that man was slightly annoyed.

"It's just if anyone knows I am a girl it will be a bother. So I told my little brother to call me brother. Is there any problem, old man?"

I answered straight.

"No. But you are clever."

He paused for a moment before he started talking again.

"These books are sealed. If people are not fated then they won't be able to read the book. Also, they can hurt you if you touch them carelessly. So be careful. Also, you need to know the ancient language to read the book. If you don't know then you will see the white page, not words."

He explained.

Now I think, why this shop is in a corner and no readers? Also, the name is a bit suspicious. If someone doesn't become serious, then no one will know that it is an old library. It's a peaceful place. I think it will be fun to come in the future here.

"Thank you for your information, old man."

After thanking the old man, I looked at Theo and said, "When you are not fated then look at others. If any book you can open but can't see inside anything. You can come at me and I will teach you."

He nodded his head and went to the other shelf to see if he could open any book. After seeing him o to other self, I took a book and open to read.

It was a history book of this continent. Here are many words about the continent. In half an hour, I finished reading the book.

Then I took another book about trees and plants. I read the book diligently and attentively. So that in one time after reading, I can remember everything in the books.

After that, I read about the monsters. Three hundred years ago, one day the monsters broke out in this continent. The continents suffered and everywhere was blood. The monsters started to kill every animal and eat it. So at that time the gods came out and helped people. The human has magic, divine, and spirit power.

After people became stronger and started to kill monsters. After the situation becomes more peaceful, the strong people become emperors, kings, and nobles. Those weak become commoners and slaves.

The continent now has three empires, five kingdoms, and two principalities. Even though the monster invasion didn't end, the people became more greedy day by day. They didn't end the monsters and tried to find out how to use them.

I read four books today in two hours. The books were so thick, that I was bored while turning to the next page of these history books.

Theo only found one swordsmanship book that was suitable for him but he couldn't read it and found all the pages were white.

He came to me feeling down and was sulking.

"You can't read the book."

I took the book from him while saying. He nodded with red eyes.

"Why are your eyes red?"

I asked while looking at his teary red eyes.

"I couldn't read the book and I won't get the sword from you anymore."

Saying this he started to cry.

"Why are you becoming so crybaby? Don't be. It's good that you found this book. I will read for you and teach you the language. Don't worry."

I said as I comforted him.

"You know the ancient language?"

Both Theo and the old man asked me curiously.

"Of course. Not only that I also know that someone was peeking at me while I was reading and sighed while shaking his head but thought I won't notice that."

I said neutrally. Hearing me, the old man coughed pretentiously as if he got cold. I didn't expose him anymore.

"Ahem, ahem. I saw you were only turning pages so fast that you didn't know how to read. But how do you know?"

He explained and asked me a question curiously. I can feel his curiosity.

In the meantime, Theo admires me, I know the ancient language and said happily.

"My brother is so awesome."

His eyes became bright instantly when he heard that I would teach him. I smiled at him.

"You didn't answer me."

The old man said. This time his voice felt casual, not annoyed.

"I am not obliged to reply or answer you."

Saying this, I took out two silver coins and gave him the silver coin.

"Come again."

This time the old man said to me. His eyes were bright and curious. I thought even if you didn't tell me, I would've come again because I have to read more books before I enter the academy. Because if I enter the academy I won't be able to come again here in a short time. Also, I don't like to keep my work in progress.

If I can't finish reading all these books, I won't be able to sleep at all peacefully. So I will come again.

I nodded. He smiled and closed the shop door. I took Theo's hand and went to the hotel and didn't stop anywhere.

Seeing us coming back, the receptionist also smiled at us while greeting us.

I went to the receptionist and asked, "How many gold coins do I have to pay if I stay here for fifteen days?"

He thought for a while and said, "Twenty gold coins if we also provide you food three times."

"Then how much if we eat only two times?"

I asked.

"Eighteen gold coins."

He replied.

I took out the gold coins and said while giving him, "The room I took I will keep for fifteen days and two meals a day."

He took the gold coins with a smile and agreed.

Then for fifteen days, I read every book in the old library. In the morning after breakfast, I took Theo and went to the library and read the books, and at night when it was eight hours, I came back to the hotel to rest.

In these days, the old man asked me many questions but I didn't answer him but kept reading and teaching some ancient language to Theo. Now he also can read some lines from the books.

The receptionist was surprised to see us go every day so early and come back so late. So he couldn't suppress his curiosity and asked,

"Where do you go every day?"
