According to the plot, he should be planning to camp out at night inside the tunnel under the bridge after he failed to secure a place to live in for today.

You may be asking though, how come the protagonist can get through to the tunnel where the Rift will be opened?

If the existence of the Rifts are being kept as a secret from the public eyes, should not there be a team who works outside to cordone off the site where the Rift will be opening and prevent any other people from ever approaching the Rifts while the Hero Clan members entered inside the Rift to fight out against whatever creatures which arw trying to invade this World through the Rifts?

I along with a lot of fans also have the same question in our minds, too.

The game version of the Sanshimai no Kajitsu series did not give out a proper explanation about it.

In the game it is just said that the protagonist are simply getting lucky and he managed to by-pass the patrol teams from the Hero Clan who are working out around the place to secure the Rift.

However, I along with a lot of fans are not satisfied with such a short and sloppy explanation.

Aren't people from the Hero Clan should be a professional?

How can they let a young boy who have not even graduated from school to get close to the Rift?

He have even interacted with the Three Sisters who would soon be sucked by the Rift because they are getting distracted from their preparation due to the protagonist's sudden appearance and the get caught by surprise when the Rift suddenly opened when they are having a talk (or interrogation) with the protagonist.
